03/12/2025: After many years, I returned to Sciacca (Sicily). I wanted a sandwich and some panelle, and stopping at a baker who supplies them, he recommended Antica Focacceria Ignaro.
The panelle sandwich was excellent. He also made me try the potato croquettes, made to order. I have to say, they were amazing. The ricotta waterfall was delicious 😋, simple, quick, and high-quality.
We had the arancini (or arancini), call it what you want. I highly recommend it. It's very good and high-quality.
28/11/2025: Incredible and tasty food. Perfect and light fried food. We had a sandwich with panelle and eggplant, arancini (with ragù and vegetarian), potato croquettes, and spectacular cassatelle for dessert.
The owner was super friendly and helpful.

25/10/2025: A total disgrace.
We came as tourists, expecting to eat well, and it was a disaster.
My "salmon" pizza was a disgusting mixture of salmon and surimi, with a sickening taste and disgusting rises.
My wife's "seafood" pizza consisted of two large shrimp placed in the middle, which she had to peel herself. The taste was so disgusting that she spat out her slice.
We paid €31, but honestly, we would have been better off leaving without paying for the two pizzas served.
Out of respect, we paid anyway, but serving this to customers is a disgrace.
Stay away from this pizzeria, it's disgusting!

Ristorante Trattoria La Matrice

12/11/2025: Located in the center of Sciacca, it overlooks Piazza Duomo with a view of the Basilica.
The restaurant is well-maintained, but unfortunately, there's limited seating inside.
Fortunately, during the summer, you can sit outside, where you can enjoy not only the beautiful view but also the pleasant climate, thanks to the fact that the area is usually breezy.
I dined inside because it was late October and the temperatures weren't suitable for sitting outside.
An excellent dinner was served, featuring Busiatte pasta with octopus ragù.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
03/11/2025: We spent several days in Sciacca and, on our sister-in-law's recommendation, went to this restaurant for lunch. The welcome was warm from the start, the food delicious and of excellent quality, and the service fast and efficient. We have two two-and-a-half-year-old children, and this restaurant definitely won their approval, so much so that we returned for both lunch and dinner the following days! In short: highly recommended!

21/08/2025: I've never been to this place before; I went for the first time yesterday for my brother's birthday. I was enchanted by the place and the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. Delicious pizzas and excellent service!! Plus, they have disabled access to the pool, something almost no one else has. I'll definitely be back, and kudos to those who run it.

24/09/2024: Ein sehr nettes Café im Zentrum von Sciacca. Der Besuch hierhin ist zu 100 Prozent empfehlenswert, die Cassata, Cannoli und Gebäcke sind super lecker. Hier merkt man den Unterschied zu industriellen Ware extrem. Alles ist aus eigener Produktion und selbst hergestellt. Nur die besten Zutaten werden hier verwendet. Der Besitzer ist unheimlich nett. Wir hatten nette Gespräche und wurden sogar einigen seiner Freunde vorgestellt. Bravo, weiter so!

27/12/2024: il luogo si presenta in maniera estremamente affascinante e lussuriosa, tranne per la pavimentazione che richiede un lavaggio più frequente. Essendo stati collocati nella cripta il servizio non si è rivelato nella sua massima efficienza, il personale si è presentato poco attento alle esigenze dei commensali, in particolare nella nostra cripta, che ci ha estraneati dal mondo e dai nostri ordini. Portate nella media, il riso acido, troppo aceto di mele. Passiamo alla chicca del ristorante, le salviettine rinfrescanti al limone, packaging classy, nero con rifiniture in oro, nonostante l’apertura irregolare che porta ad avere uno strappo non omogeneo, si sono rivelate di ottima qualità, con il loro odore di coccolino. voto finale mio e dei miei compari, colleghi, compagni di marketing è……………………………………………………………………..3 stelle su 5!
