Working with seasonal raw materials, the dishes offered on the menus can only follow this line. 20/12/2024: Locale piccolo, ma molto accogliente. Ci fanno accomodare e nel portarci i menu ci chiedono se gradiamo subito dell'acqua. Il menu è molto interessante: non mi aspettavo di trovare cibi e pietanze diverse dal solito. Si va da una zuppa di carciofi e patate, ad un prosciuttto spagnolo, passandp per un risotto zucca e polvere di liquirizia fino ad arrivare al piccione su salsa ai frutti di bosco. Nel menu non ci sono i vini; c'è la lista parlante, Diego, che in base a quello che si sceglie consiglia la bottiglia o un calice. Tutto ciò che abbiamo mangiato era delizioso. Conto onesto. Buono il servizio. Consigliatissimo. E consiglio di prenotare con anticipo, visto che il locale ha pochi coperti.

20/12/2024: Small place, but very welcoming. They make us sit down and when they bring us the menus they ask us if we would like some water straight away. The menu is very interesting: I didn't expect to find different foods and dishes than usual. They range from an artichoke and potato soup, to a Spanish ham, passing through a pumpkin and liquorice powder risotto up to the pigeon on wild berry sauce. There are no wines on the menu; there is the talking list, Diego, who recommends a bottle or a glass based on what you choose. Everything we ate was delicious. Honest account. Good service. Highly recommended. And I recommend booking in advance, as the place has few seats.

27/12/2024: Purtroppo l'influenza ha avuto la meglio...pertanto il nostro pranzo di natale all'osteria ha dovuto rivedersi in un pranzo da asporto. Ringrazio Lucia per la comprensione e la disponibilità nel trasformare un momento di difficoltà in un piacevole e delizioso successo! Come da menù, dopo la chiamata imprevista la mattina di Natale, ci è stato preparato tutto con cura e con grande qualità...perché ogni portata è risultata eccezionale! Grazie di cuore...ci rivedremo appena possibile! Buon 2025!

15/01/2025: Business lunch with a good price/quality ratio. Simple but quite extensive menu. I recommend adding a helper in the room, perhaps just to collect the dishes and prepare the tables, so as to free up the waitresses and improve the service.

26/12/2024: Bellissimo ristorante, elegante e raffinato. Già entrando ci ha colpito il giardino curatissimo. Siamo andati il giorno di Santo Stefano e c'era parecchia gente ma si stava bene. Il personale, gentilissimo e sorridente, ci ha accolto con cordialità. Interni in legno arredati con gusto e con oggetti natalizi non eccessivi ma giusti per creare l'atmosfera. Ma veniamo al cibo. Il menù era alla carta e spaziava dai piatti tipici della tradizione mantovana a piatti per tutti i gusti. In due abbiamo scelto il risotto con il tartufo che era davvero eccellente. Gusto delicato con una abbondante grattugiata di tartufo sopra. Poi tagliata di manzo con scaglie di grana e rucola. Carne cotta al punto giusto. Squisita. E per finire un delizioso tortino al cioccolato ripieno di crema al cocco, servito tiepido con dadolata di fragole fresche. Caffè servito con bocconcini di torta tenerina. Il prezzo equo per il locale. Lo consiglio vivamente ma per le festività prenotate per tempo perché i tavoli vanno a ruba!

18/01/2025: What a gelateria! During our several-day stay in Mantua we stopped here almost every day. The home-made ice cream is fantastic. Luckily the selection is manageable. But with some special creations. The service is very friendly and patient, even if you can't make a decision quickly. If things get really difficult, you would be offered a spoon to try. We would love to come back!

07/11/2024: The place has stuck the sticker: gluten free on the window. Unfortunately, they sell regular cones, with gluten, and they are not available or/and have no availability to have gluten-free ice cream. A bit like putting a vegan sticker on the package of minced meat because the cow eats grass.
