25/01/2026: A small restaurant near the Sanremo seafront. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, and the menu offers a good selection. The dishes are well-prepared with excellent ingredients. The portions aren't particularly large, and the prices are reasonable.

24/01/2026: The quintessence of disappointment.
It felt like we were bothering the waiters and waitresses.
No goodbye at all, very long waiting times for the service, yet extremely quick when it came to bringing the card machine to pay.
My girlfriend ordered the “risotto with red shrimp tartare”… there was indeed a risotto (although you could absolutely not taste any broth, only plain rice) and a few small pieces of shrimp scattered on top.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THE WORD “TARTARE” WHEN YOU ARE NOT ACTUALLY MAKING ONE.
My dish seemed to have been prepared with an overly salty, industrial pesto.
In short: disappointing. And honestly, unless you have the palate of a Doberman, this is a tourist trap to be avoided.
A disgrace to Italy.
03/01/2026: We had a wonderful dinner at Quintessenza in San Remo, seated outside in their wind‑protected and heated area. The plastic enclosure kept us perfectly comfortable, and the table itself was excellent — cozy, calm, and ideal for enjoying the evening.
We started with the paccheri al sugo di crostacei, a chef’s suggestion that turned out to be absolutely delicious, along with a beautifully prepared insalata di carciofi served raw and full of flavor. For the main courses, I chose the classic Orecchia d’Elefante and a rombo con carciofi al forno, both impeccably cooked and generously portioned.
Dessert was equally impressive: a creamy cheesecake with caramello salato and a delightful meringata con marron glacé. Every dish was well prepared, balanced, and satisfying.
The service added an extra touch of charm. Before the starters, the waiter brought us some bread and warm pizza slices, and we were offered a limoncello to finish the meal. The highlight, though, was the thoughtful gesture toward our dog Toffee, who received a few slices of ham as a treat — a small detail that made the experience feel truly personal.
From start to finish, everything was smooth, attentive, and delicious. Quintessenza delivered a flawless experience that fully deserves 5 stars.

20/12/2025: I went there alone for a spontaneous lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The decor is a bit old-fashioned. They prioritize good, fresh food. It was incredibly good. Bollito misto, served with a bowl of crisp vegetables, a green parsley sauce, and friendly service – all for a very reasonable price.

10/12/2025: The desserts are certainly delicious, but I think it's a bit steep to pay €6 for four biscuits. I understand the location right in the center, and I understand that we're in Sanremo, but it's still a bit steep. Next time, I'll just have my usual coffee.

10/10/2025: A year and a half ago, we visited this little café several times during our vacation, or rather, sat outside and enjoyed an aperitif and some of the numerous delicacies.
Simply a wonderful little piazza with very attentive staff.
I'd especially like to highlight the super-friendly employee with the reddish-blonde hair, who offered us the most amazing morsi to go with our Campari and Aperol – we still often think back to the Pasta Madre ❤️🫶🏼 and hope we'll come back to this wonderful place again.
23/09/2025: Tucked away on a charming little street in the heart of Sanremo, Pasta Madre il Fornaio is a hidden gem that combines simplicity, flavor, and warmth in perfect balance. During a family stroll through the city, we stopped here for a short break — and it turned into a delightful moment we won’t forget.
We ordered a freshly baked pizza with an artisanal crust full of character, a flaky croissant, a slice of homemade apple cake, and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice — vibrant and full of life. Every item was thoughtfully prepared and served with care.
The setting was cozy, with a small table just outside, perfect for enjoying the street’s calm atmosphere. The staff was welcoming and kind, offering just the right amount of attention. And the rich, aromatic coffee we finished with brought everything together beautifully.
Pasta Madre il Fornaio doesn’t try to impress with extravagance — it wins you over with honesty, great flavor, and genuine hospitality. A perfect stop for anyone exploring Sanremo in search of authentic taste and peaceful moments.

02/11/2025: A little hesitant at the exterior appearance, but reassured by the positive reviews, we entered. Both inside and out, the place appears a bit shabby—not in the sense of dirty, as we found it very clean—but rather a somewhat sparse, spartan atmosphere, as is the menu. And this was the only "negative" aspect, if we can call it that, because the food, especially the hot dishes, was satisfying to say the least. The wait was average, and the waiter was extremely friendly. My girlfriend and I had a great time; the appetizers were limited but delicious, the spring rolls where you finally tasted the dough and not the used oil, the soups had a lovely, rich flavor, and the first and second courses left me pleasantly surprised. The chicken was the most tender I've ever eaten in an Asian restaurant, the udon noodles were actually pan-fried, not just reheated. The sushi was delicate and light, but it was a bit of a no-no after such delicious first courses. But the best part of the whole evening was that after a great meal, even though I felt stuffed, I didn't have the typical heaviness you get after leaving other places. It's become my favorite all-you-can-eat restaurant. Highly recommended!
13/09/2025: The place for those who appreciate good food and tranquility. We ordered mixed tempura and wakame appetizers, followed by two temaki with salmon and a chirashi with grilled salmon and mixed chirashi, and still water. We paid €25.20 and didn't eat again that day.

08/08/2025: We went here for an aperitivo. The staff were friendly, the spritz was average, and there was a small platter for two with a bit of everything. The place is a bit small, with the option of sitting outside. To be fair, the owner was the only one of the places we visited who explained what was on the platter.
19/07/2025: Pub with a few seats to enjoy a quick draft beer, delicious appetizers, a Leffe red and a weisse at excellent prices, friendly staff.

11/01/2026: Today I wanted to go in to try something, there was a pigeon walking around inside, of course I understand that poor things are looking for food but in a restaurant it is not admissible.
20/08/2025: Terrible and not recommended. The yogurt was frozen and grainy, tasted like water, and wasn't creamy at all. As for spreads, don't write NUTELLA if you're going to offer a cocoa and hazelnut spread!

17/02/2025: Sono stata con mio figlio per mangiare un panino in pausa pranzo ,mai mangiato così male jn un bar ,panino piccolissimo a € 8 con due fettine di crudo e una " mozzarella " immangiabile, sembrava quella da mettere sulla pizza in più fredda ,una ladrata vera e propria
20/11/2024: Partendo dal presupposto che il tavolo non era ben pulito, io e la mia amica abbiamo deciso di prenderci un momento di relax e goderci un caffè.
Inutile dire che al pagamento ci hanno fatto pagare 4 euro due caffè normale 8
pensavamo che il cameriere stesse scherzando, inoltre non ci ha considerate nemmeno, ha fatto le cose con estrema fretta. 2€ un caffè normale assurdo, dove finiremo? Solo qua sti prezzi disumani. Ladri. Manco fosse un caffè d'oro. Mai più. Potessi mettete O
stelle, lo farei.
