15/03/2025: Madeline the Manager (prefers to be called Mad for short ) and the rest of his team are a real credit to a beautiful mountain restaurant. The food is truly amazing but what makes this place so special is the most amazing genuine welcome you will find anywhere. I've tried all the other Restaurants in Pila but if you want to find a real Gem of a place don't go any further. Thank you so much Mad. Already booked my holiday for next year . 07/02/2025: Food average, luke warm and lacked seasoning. Service awful. Rude staff, started clearing our table before we finished. Felt like cattle being herded

01/05/2025: The pasta was good but nothing above the average. The view on the other hand was really great if you get a seat by the window.

26/03/2025: There is a nice ristorante/bar placed in the top part of the blue slope no. 5, high enough not to meet crowds, but becoming more and more popular, so be aware of the peak hours during the lunch time. La Chatelaine Pila looks modest, but usually such places have the best Italian food. 😊 This bar has even much more: unique atmosphere and the enormously friendly staff! Amazing people, you feel like most welcomed guest, like family member. Open to talking and meeting new people, culture, language. Cheers to Sabine and Catherine (Kasia) – sorry, if I spelled your names incorrectly! And to others, so nice and smiling! There are panoramic windows inside so you can watch the beauty of the Valle d’Aosta enjoying your food when it’s too cold outside. Fantastic smell of wood fired oven makes it so cozy… Delicious food, local cuisine, desserts and cakes (tiramisu included!) looking so tasty… but to be honest – I’ve used to order mostly bombardino, hot wine and beer, just not to become fat while skiing. 😊 You can find here a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, tap and bottled ones, hot and cold. There are lot of places available on the fresh air when it’s sunny weather with mountains view all around. There is also a bonus, ‘secret’ not meant for outsiders – the kind of top-terrace with sunchairs, where you can relax holding a beer in hand and enjoying the sunshine. Not everyone knows it. Just climb these few steep steps…the view is stunning! You must visit this place, La Chatelaine Pila, to enjoy your special moments and nice break when skiing. 22/08/2023: Un endroit incontournable à Cogne. Un véritable bonheur gustatif et olfactive. Merci beaucoup aux cuisiniers, aux conseils avisés du sommelier et aux serveuses. Nous avons déguster des spécialités locales et des vins du val d'Aoste. Merci beaucoup pour ce moment !!!

08/07/2024: Posto eccezionale, panorama da paura. Abbiamo mangiato bene, ma quello che non dimenticheremo mai é il servizio (totale) di VERONICA. Buonissima la patata.

20/02/2024: Worst place I’ve ever been for service. No one to serve and totally ignored for 40 minutes. Might have been different if we were Italian. Avoid like a plague and then they might sort out their service and smiles.

02/03/2025: Va bene guadagnare sui turisti ma come fate a servire un tagliere di salumi da 11€ con tre fette (contate) di salame, crudo e cotto (???), su un piatto fondo di ceramica, completamente distese per fare sostanza e di scarsa qualità dato che erano prodotti imbustati da supermercato, VERAMENTE UNA TRISTEZZA E UNA OFFESA PER I PRODOTTI DI PILA E DELLA VAL D'AOSTA! Sorvolando sulla scortesia della cameriera dallo spiccato accento laziale, sorvolando sul fatto che ci avete fatto cambiare tavolo per lasciare i 5 posti rimasti VUOTI tutto il tempo che siamo rimasti e il retro del bar dove avete i tavoli è veramente trasandato, Tornando ai prodotti, ma vi rendete conto del danno che fate al territorio? I clienti, soprattutto gli stranieri, torneranno a casa con una visione distorta del cibo italiano.

02/01/2025: Bel locale dispone anche di alcuni tavolini esterni, prezzi molto convenienti servizio gentile, consigliato per una pausa sci veloce o un aperitivo a fine discese
