21/09/2025: Very friendly staff and excellent food. A place that makes you feel at home. It's an AIC (Italian Association of Italian Restaurants) restaurant, so they offer a wide range of gluten-free options. Their homemade mandarin liqueur is also delicious. Thank you for giving us a wonderful evening.
19/09/2025: Cold and rude service. When I commented that the pasta was overcooked, the owner/waitress replied, "What do you expect for the price of the dish of the day?" And she turned her back on me and walked away! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Hotel Ristorante Tivet

03/08/2025: Hotel Tivet, located halfway between Aosta and Pila, is ideal for those seeking a secluded retreat (we needed one for our one-month-old daughter) and easy access to nearby towns by car. Its location also offers spectacular views of the mountains opposite. The hotel is surrounded by a garden with chairs, tables, and loungers where you can sunbathe and relax. There's also a jacuzzi/sauna, but we didn't use it. The staff are exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Inside, the hotel is very well-maintained and tidy, both in the rooms and in the common areas. We stayed half-board and were amazed and satisfied with the quality and quantity of what was offered for breakfast and dinner. We hope to return soon!
03/08/2025: We stayed at the Hotel Ristorante Tivet for a week and were very satisfied. The location is perfect, just minutes from Aosta and convenient for reaching Pila and hiking. The family-run hotel is very clean and welcoming, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the food: generous portions, excellent food, and excellent value. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. If you're looking for a place to eat well and feel at home, Hotel Tivet is the place!

01/05/2025: The pizza was good but I would not suggest the Raclette. Other than that the place was fairly nice and would recommend and come again.

The all-wood interior gives a typically mountain feel with a beautiful pizza oven and its open preparation area.
One of the only restaurants in the area offering raclette & tartiflette (too salty)
Unfortunately end of season many dishes unavailable we fall back on what is left
Pleasant and smiling service until our waitress burst into tears after the arrival of what seemed to be the manager, resulting in a bad atmosphere

31/07/2025: Il menù è ambizioso e creativo, ma i risultati sono deludenti come per un capocollo immangiabile per la durezza. Il problema è che ci è stato risposto che forse avevamo denti sciupati…. Il coniglio invece era buono. I prezzi troppo alti
28/07/2025: Per qualità prezzo uno dei migliori locali in Valle d'Aosta. Menù che cambia ogni stagione, dolci fatti in casa e piatto del giorno (che cambia veramente ogni giorno, una rarità ormai) sempre allettante.
Le titolari onestamente poco propense a "sbattimenti" (vedere recensioni meno positive), ma per me è una certezza.

15/07/2025: Delicious pizza with special ingredients. We really enjoyed it! Nice table on the terrace with a view of the mountains. Attentive service. The beer was also delicious! The prices were absolutely reasonable. Definitely worth a recommendation! We'd be happy to come back.
09/07/2025: Excellent restaurant and pizzeria, ideal for families given its proximity to the green area and multi-sports fields for children and adults. Fresh, quality food and excellent pizza.

04/01/2025: A restaurant situated on the slopes. We visited for Lunch, restaurant offers a buffet-style service and staple fast food items like hot dogs, burgers and similar. We opted for a couple of hot dogs, burgers and chips which were good.
The best part of Hermitage is the outdoor seating, right by the slopes, and also in the Sun — not a common occurrence on the Pila/Gressan slopes.

15/03/2025: Madeline the Manager (prefers to be called Mad for short ) and the rest of his team are a real credit to a beautiful mountain restaurant.
The food is truly amazing but what makes this place so special is the most amazing genuine welcome you will find anywhere.
I've tried all the other Restaurants in Pila but if you want to find a real Gem of a place don't go any further.
Thank you so much Mad. Already booked my holiday for next year .

01/05/2025: The pasta was good but nothing above the average. The view on the other hand was really great if you get a seat by the window.
26/03/2025: There is a nice ristorante/bar placed in the top part of the blue slope no. 5, high enough not to meet crowds, but becoming more and more popular, so be aware of the peak hours during the lunch time.
La Chatelaine Pila looks modest, but usually such places have the best Italian food. 😊
This bar has even much more: unique atmosphere and the enormously friendly staff!
Amazing people, you feel like most welcomed guest, like family member.
Open to talking and meeting new people, culture, language.

There are panoramic windows inside so you can watch the beauty of the Valle d’Aosta enjoying your food when it’s too cold outside.
Fantastic smell of wood fired oven makes it so cozy…
Delicious food, local cuisine, desserts and cakes (tiramisu included!) looking so tasty… but to be honest – I’ve used to order mostly bombardino, hot wine and beer, just not to become fat while skiing. 😊
You can find here a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, tap and bottled ones, hot and cold.
There are lot of places available on the fresh air when it’s sunny weather with mountains view all around.
There is also a bonus, ‘secret’ not meant for outsiders – the kind of top-terrace with sunchairs, where you can relax holding a beer in hand and enjoying the sunshine.
Not everyone knows it. Just climb these few steep steps…the view is stunning!
You must visit this place, La Chatelaine Pila, to enjoy your special moments and nice break when skiing.
Can’t wait for the next season and being there!
