Delicious hot chocolate and coffee. Very friendly staff and a fantastic location. We didn't eat, but we stopped for a break from cross-country skiing in the afternoon.

The location struck me as very charming, nestled among the mountains with a relaxing view of the valley. As soon as I sat down, I noticed the very friendly and helpful service: the waiters were attentive and patient. The menu offers typical dishes from the Aosta Valley: I ordered a well-prepared polenta concia and their exquisite homemade gelato (photo), both well-executed and with distinct flavors. I also appreciated the platters of local cheeses and cured meats. The atmosphere is rustic and welcoming, with an outdoor lawn where you can relax after your meal. The restaurant can get crowded outside, but it still offers a sincere and informal welcome. I recommend booking at least the day before. In short: if you're looking for a quiet lunch with local dishes and attentive service in a natural setting, Chalet MontDolent is a very good choice.

Strong points: Hospitality, quality of food, atmosphere, speed, spartan environment but with excellent food, we had truly top-notch Valdostana polenta, crepes and a sweet Bacio del Lavachey ♡

Aosta Valley cuisine, simple and delicious. Welcoming, attentive, and cheerful service. Surrounded by beauty. We had a wonderful time.

Stunning location in the Ferret Valley. A great place to stop for an aperitif and ice cream.

Day 4 of the TMB. I was so exhausted, I stopped by this place in the morning and enjoyed a homemade cake to recharge. The raspberry cake was so good, I ordered another. The combination of not-too-sweet chocolate and sweet pear was perfect.

The Valpellinense soup was excellent, and was served outside of regular hours without any problems. They kindly took care of charging my e-cigarette. All this after a walk in the rain was priceless. Thank you.
