28/09/2025: We visited the Bodneralm today, and it was a pleasure again. Great food, friendly staff, and prompt service—a true family business. The dishes are all homemade and better than you'd find in a 4-star hotel. We'll definitely be back! Thank you for everything!

13/03/2026: We had lunch at the Lodenwirt Restaurant and felt very comfortable there from the moment we arrived. Although the restaurant was quite busy at that time, we were served surprisingly quickly. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and professional. You can immediately tell that hospitality is a top priority here.
We were particularly impressed with the pizza. The dough was baked to perfection – beautifully crispy yet pleasantly light. The toppings were also of very high quality and perfectly balanced in flavor. Overall, a truly excellent pizza that we would order again in a heartbeat.
We were also very impressed by the wide selection of dishes. In addition to pizza, there are many other options, including regional South Tyrolean specialties as well as various Mediterranean and Italian dishes. This means there's something for everyone on the menu.
The ambiance also contributes to the positive overall impression. The restaurant feels cozy, well-maintained, and typically South Tyrolean, making you feel right at home and happy to linger a little longer.
All in all, it was a very pleasant visit with excellent food and superb service. We highly recommend the Lodenwirt and will definitely be back.
09/02/2026: We booked an overnight stay at the Lodenwirt on our way to Kronplatz. The booking process and all arrangements for our group of seven were absolutely seamless and straightforward.
The rooms were excellent – clean, comfortable, and very well-maintained. In the evening, we enjoyed some delicious pizza. Overall, everyone in our group was very satisfied.
We would gladly return and can definitely recommend the Lodenwirt!

08/01/2026: A conveniently located cheese shop with a wide variety of gourmet foods. It's worth stopping by to pick up a few things for your friends back home. You can even get delicious burgers here. The prices are reasonable.

31/07/2025: Monday is a day off, and unfortunately, you can't order the best Kaiserschmarrn for miles around or the insider tip, Carbonara. We also enjoy one of the pasta dishes, like the Makaroni Chef, as well as the salad. Small portions are available. The interior is rustic. The service and the chef are like good old friends. The food is reasonably priced. Drinks are average. There's plenty of parking and a good selection of play areas for children. It's only a few minutes' drive from Maranza or you can take the road there, but there's also a beautiful trail through the forest up to the Kiener Alm.
From the Gitschberg middle station, the alpine pasture is a 30-minute walk away, or from the Nesselbahn station or the lovely playground at the top, it's a steep 30-40-minute descent along the ski slope – but there are also easier options here.
The guest rooms are expected to be available again soon; you can inquire on site or by phone.
26/07/2025: The other reviewers are right: the Kaiserschmarrn is really delicious, not dry and with plenty of egg - highly recommended!

04/04/2025: Frequentiamo questo locale da anni quando siamo in val Pusteria e non ci ha mai deluso: piatti raffinati , a volte con accostamenti arditi, ricchi di prodotti stagionali e caratteristici, in qualche caso raccolti direttamente dallo chef e da sua moglie che serve in sala, ma è l'autrice anche di alcune preparazioni (es.: salse per il piatto di foie gras).
Bel locale caratteristico ed accogliente. Menù accattivante, scelta dei vini con molte soluzioni di prezzo medio e di ottima qualità.
Servizio sempre cortese e premuroso.

27/06/2025: …wir sind am selben Tag mit dem Rad angereist und wollten vorwiegend was Kühles trinken und eventuell dazu, noch einen kleinen Snak zu uns nehmen. Hat genau so funktioniert. Wir hatten zwei tolle Karaffen schön kühles Wasser (wie bestellt, mit und ohne Blubber), ein schönes kaltes „SPEZI“, einmal Caprese mit Burrata (sehr zu empfehlen) und dazu lecker frisches „coberto Brot“ in verschiedenen Sorten und eine Pizza für zwei die uns ohne weitere Nachfrage wie selbstverständlich auf zwei Tellern serviert wurde. Danke, für den perfekten Service. Speisen durch die Bank lecker, Getränke gut gekühlt und ansprechend serviert. Wenn wir mal wieder in die Gegend kommen, kehren wir im Restaurant Lodenwirt sicher wieder ein.
21/06/2025: Prima esperienza negativa qualche anno fa. Speravo nella seconda un po' meglio. Ore 11 al bar quasi tutto esaurito. 2 Brioche rimaste 2,60 ciascuna. Caffe' 1,90. Ho dovuto chiedere lo scontrino. Mai più. Meglio fermarsi più avanti.
