07/09/2025: Excellent bar/pasta shop Excellent strudel The interior is a bit chaotic, and at least the morning we were there... A few too many annoying flies.

05/09/2025: We were there with our motorhome. Thanks to the municipality for the parking. The Happacher bakery was a discovery for us, and we were particularly pleased with it. Friendly service, fair prices, and excellent pastries and bread.

07/09/2025: A secluded spot, accessible by car and with ample parking, delicious food, and a lovely view of the valley. The staff is also very friendly, though it's a shame there were flies fluttering all over our plates while we were eating.

13/10/2025: Our favorite place to eat and stay, we love it here! A fantastic kitchen team with South Tyrolean cuisine and delicious desserts. Simply divine! The rooms are lovingly furnished and exactly what you need... Actually, you're not allowed to advertise. 🤣

11/10/2025: Unfortunately, we had a somewhat unpleasant experience. We were in the Sexten Mountains during the fall break. We had fond memories of the Kinigerhof restaurant from a previous vacation. We quickly reserved a table for 12 people. Everything was excellent, friendly service, and the food was really good. The bill was in the mid-three-figure range, which was okay for the number of people. Three days later, we tried again and reserved a table for 12 people for 7:00 p.m. Unfortunately, my parents were late and didn't arrive until 8:00 p.m. The rest of the group was there on time. They were rudely insulted at the entrance, saying it was a disgrace and that they would no longer be served. They were denied entry to the restaurant. When I approached the supposed boss about this, after my parents informed me by phone from outside, I was told that they would no longer be served after 8:00 p.m. Furthermore, the host's tone was very inappropriate. We paid for our starters and canceled the main courses. Hospitality looks different!

07/10/2025: Easy to get to, easy to park, the atmosphere is simple but youthful, well-kept, and clean. The food is good quality and the pizza is excellent. Wait times are short, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, making you feel at ease. The atmosphere is young and family-friendly. I highly recommend it. The price for pizza and a small beer is under €17. Well done!

06/08/2025: We had the Kaiserschmarrn and the three dumpling variations. Both were delicious, and I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

07/10/2025: Sexten is a beautiful town, and this warm, family-run hotel is welcoming and courteous. I recommend booking a half-board so you can try the local specialties and have a wonderful meal. The room was very clean. We visited in the early autumn, and the area is a ski resort in the winter. The bathroom floor was warm and had excellent water pressure. It was a wonderful touch to shower and cool off after hiking. 🥹 Driving yourself is certainly not a problem; the hotel is near a bus stop (flat roads, no slopes). During peak season, buses run for hiking and to nearby towns. If you're physically fit and experienced in hiking, consider hiking up the Rifugio Locatelli in Val Fiscalina, or take the 444 bus. Finally, congratulations on the hotel's 50th anniversary!

28/09/2025: From the very first moment of booking, you immediately realize that the person on the other end is kind, helpful, and professional. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted as if we were the most important people in the hotel. It's a shame we can't give more than 5 stars. Everything was clean and tidy, the food was good, and the rooms were very nice. We had a great time. Thank you for your hospitality.

10/09/2025: Simply a wonderful hut after a beautiful hike, with excellent food and friendly staff. Even off-season, it's a popular destination and not as crowded, and 10 stars 🌟 for the staff.

08/09/2025: We stopped for a coffee and a dessert, a wonderful place but I don't need to say it, the whole landscape around speaks for itself, both the coffee and the desserts were excellent, in fact I think I ate the best strudel ever 😋

12/09/2025: The hut is wonderfully rustic—exactly what you want after a hike in the mountains. The food? Simply delicious. Homemade specialties that taste of tradition and love. Especially recommended: the dumplings and the Kaiserschmarrn—a poem!

18/10/2025: WOW 🤩! What a fantastic hut. EVERYTHING is just right here – the food, the ambiance, the view, and the hosts are incredibly friendly. The "Wiener Schnitzel" (not "Viennese style" 😉) tastes excellent. The hostess even took the time to chat with us briefly. And even though my debit card didn't work at first, she remained friendly. We'd love to come back – we felt very welcome ☺️!

15/10/2025: Anyone wanting a coffee and a slice of cake will only get a seat in the second row. The tables with a better view are reserved for customers who are more willing to pay for a "real meal." We arrived around 2:00 p.m. and were shown to a vacant table. There were deck chairs nearby. Here, too, we were emphatically informed that no service was available. The better choice was the Helm Restaurant at the mountain station. Here, everything was as we've come to expect in this region: particularly hospitable.

30/09/2025: This hotel is great on many levels. The location is perfect if you want to visit the Dolomites coming from Austria. You have good access to the parcs. We found out this location is optimal if you want to plan some hikes. It’s walking distance from the small town center of Sexten if you want to do some groceries. Ample parking space right next to the hotel. The rooms themselves are spacious, cosy Alpine wood style, comfortable, excellent beds, super tidy, good sound insulation, just perfect. The service we had was outstanding from both reception and bar service people. I guess this family business treats her staff very well because they were all super friendly and helpful. We got to meet the lady owner at the reception and she helped us greatly and knows the mountains well. The breakfast was delicious with many fresh local pies and cakes, varied buffet and perfect coffee. The prices are good too. Thank you!

15/09/2025: An excellent experience, from the extremely friendly and helpful receptionist to the quality of the rooms, the attention to detail, and the overall facility. The breakfast was also excellent. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.

20/09/2025: One of the most beautiful refuges I've ever visited! The view is breathtaking, and the peace you breathe is truly rejuvenating. The food is delicious and meticulously prepared, as is the interior. The atmosphere is warm and spotlessly clean (including the bathrooms, which is never a given). The service is excellent; it feels like being at home among family. It's easily accessible by car, but I honestly recommend leaving your car in the lower parking lot, about 1 km away, and enjoying the easy walk to the refuge.
