05/11/2025: We've been living in Schenna for four years now, but only just managed to visit the new owners. It was well worth it! As befits a visit to such a centuries-old inn, we chose a table in the original, preserved 15th-century smokehouse, where, unfortunately, there's no longer an open fire. The food—venison medallions and sliced ​​veal with grilled porcini mushrooms—was absolutely exquisite, as was the selection of drinks. Despite being full with several groups, we received excellent and friendly service throughout and were even treated to a complimentary limoncello at the end! We wish Thomas Schönweger and his team all the very best and will be back soon!

31/10/2025: A first-class, cozy, and stylishly furnished inn dating back to the 15th century. We dined there twice during our vacation and felt very comfortable. The service is excellent and attentive. Reservations are recommended. This inn offers fine dining, which should be taken into account. If you're looking for a special evening, this is the place to go. We highly recommend it.

12/11/2025: What a view! And what a Kaiserschmarrn! For me, the best in the world. A true culinary delight. The host family is incredibly friendly, and Mrs. Zmailer has received numerous awards for her creations, especially those using local herbs, such as her nettle soup and dumplings. It sounds unusual, but it tastes unusually good too! 👍 👍 👍 And if, for whatever reason, you don't want to eat here, you should at least try one of the excellent spritzers made with local berries—they're fantastic! Sitting at Zmailer's, enjoying the view, gazing into the distance at the surrounding mountain peaks of the Merano Basin, the Val Venosta, and the Val Passiria, and simply letting things be... that's all you need to be completely happy! 😀😃🙂

06/01/2026: An authentic, family-run refuge with a stunning view of the valley. Delicious food, a warm stube, and artisanal liqueurs to finish. Excellent, definitely worth a visit and a lunch break.

10/03/2026: WHAT BOUTIQUE HOTEL?! FORM ≠ SUBSTANCE We, two people, were staying in early November 2025, thinking (in good faith) that a 4-star superior hotel would have services adapted to autumn temperatures. We were probably fools (sic.). Unfortunately, during our stay, we encountered serious service issues compared to what was advertised and promised at the time of booking and the information provided to us by the staff. Some examples: - Poor cleaning (see photo); - The indoor and outdoor pools were cold and inadequately heated, contrary to what was stated in the description of the services, making a comfortable bath and a stay in them impossible; the same aufguss attendant personally told me about the problems with the outdoor pool, stating the lack of a cover for the night and the fact that the motors to heat it are insufficient; The indoor pool's flooring is severely damaged, without any kind of signage, and I even suffered a cut. The aufguss attendant was unprofessional, as after leading the 2:30 PM ceremony, he went into the sauna for 10 minutes to relax, while I was still working there, and at the next hour's ceremony, he asked us if he could use the same music as the hour before. In the sauna relaxation area, the number of loungers is not proportionate to the number of guests in the spa, forcing us to use those in the pool where the aqua aerobics was held, making any kind of rest impossible given the loud music. The reception staff provided us with incomplete paperwork, which did not include any timetable for dinner and breakfast. So, at the welcome drink, we asked the bartender for the dinner time. We were given a 10:30 PM finish time, which turned out to be incorrect. In fact, at 8:30 PM, we were called to our room, claiming we hadn't shown up. When we arrived at 8:45 PM, the manager greeted us rudely, instructing us that we could only have a second course. After our numerous requests, she brought us a plate of dumplings, saying that they could no longer prepare the other first course, in front of the other diners. All this prevented us from enjoying the full meal, since we couldn't order an appetizer, nor could we choose a first course. Furthermore, it created a stressful and uncomfortable atmosphere that was not in keeping with the relaxation of a four-star superior hotel and a pleasant stay. The best part comes when we formally report the entire series of issues we've encountered, and the only offer we're given is a voucher that would mean having to stay at their property again and a telephone conversation that never happened. The result? Legal action. Be wary of such high-profile reviews; form must also match substance, and you certainly won't find that here.

19/11/2025: Having been loyal customers of the Solea Dolomiti for a few years, we decided to make a change and try the new opening. The facility is very impressive and well-designed, and the room was very nice, clean, and had a wonderful view. The spa was beautiful but in need of modernization, especially the Turkish bath. The only downside was the water temperature in the two pools, which was incredibly cold. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were practically unusable and, for this very reason, perpetually empty; a real disappointment for a hotel of this caliber. Despite having frequented many spas, we've never encountered temperatures this low. The food was good but could be improved, especially the breakfast and lunch buffets. (The plain rice was also a no-no.) We were probably unlucky, having arrived on the last weekend before the seasonal closure, which wasn't communicated when booking, and we couldn't even use the facility on the day of check-out. The staff is friendly and helpful. The potential is high, but there's still some way to go to achieve excellence.

11/01/2026: Highly recommended! We ate there four times during our vacation. The pizza and meat dishes were delicious! Children are very welcome, and they easily accommodate special requests.

09/12/2025: We were lucky. It's not easy to get a table here without a reservation. The ambiance is very stylish, and you immediately feel at home. You can tell right away that the two waiters love their jobs, just like the chef who conjures up an explosion of flavor on the plates. We haven't been served such delicious food in a long time. This restaurant is a true temple of culinary delights 😋

22/10/2025: We always love eating at Christoph's trattoria. You just have to know the two waiters, and you'll get absolutely everything you need; you're always welcome to ask. They can be a bit brusque at times, but I smile past it because I know they don't mean it. The food is truly magnificent, no matter what you order. Christoph's sister and her kitchen team are outstanding. Reservations are essential; ask nicely; they always try to accommodate. We'll be back. Lovingly decorated dining room.

16/11/2025: We went there on a recommendation during our autumn holiday and didn't enjoy it very much. We had to wait a while because it was very crowded – if you haven't made a reservation like we did, that's fine, but we didn't feel welcome and nobody paid any attention to us. Once we were seated, the service was okay. Junior was happy with his shepherd's macaroni, which was more like Bolognese pasta, but we adults found the food rather average. In short: You can eat better in Schenna.

31/10/2025: Besides the increasing number of 5-star glitz and glamour establishments in Schenna, you can still find a solid pizza here at a decent price.
