20/08/2024: We were in Machenmacher's Rosengarten with a group (ski school) of about 40 people, all families with children. Unfortunately for us it was a horror vacation. This hotel is run by an older couple and their son Roman. Right from the start, the older hosts in particular made an extremely unfriendly impression on us. The older lady didn't greet us, the gentleman walked around and looked askance at the children in particular. However, we thought maybe it's just an impression and everything will be fine. We were wrong. It all started with a ban on indoor swimming pools for children from 4.30 p.m. We found out about this “rule” on the first day, but unfortunately it is nowhere to be seen on the website. Since the lifts are open until 4:30 p.m. and most children only returned from the ski course at around 4:00 p.m., it was simply not technically possible to comply with this rule. One of the reasons we chose the hotel was because it had an indoor swimming pool. So from day one we asked for the ban to be postponed at least by an hour. Unfortunately it didn't work. So we simply stayed in the indoor pool longer. On the second day, when I was lying on the lounger in the indoor pool, at 4:40 p.m. the older lady suddenly ran towards me with her finger stretched out (I was closest to the entrance) and screamed and told me that I should immediately leave the indoor pool with children , otherwise we can all leave. I answered her calmly - then we'll leave - and she ran away again. When we all (40 people) came to dinner, there was a note on every table with a message: “This ends your vacation, with the date of January 30th, 2017 (next day) in the Machenmachers Rosengarten due to non-compliance with the hotel rules”. The older gentleman walked around the dining room and said he was going to kick us out and he was calling the police. Those who didn’t have children also received these pieces of paper. After dinner we had a meeting with our tour operators to discuss the situation. We were informed that all people must sign compliance with the hotel rules. Anyone who doesn't sign will have to leave the hotel tomorrow. We didn't find out what the rules were, apart from the swimming pool ban. I tried to talk to Roman afterward because I didn't want to believe that such a situation would cause such stress. Roman was standing behind the counter, I came to him, introduced myself and asked what the problem was. He replied that I had insulted his mother and that I had to leave the hotel at 10:00 the next day. When I wanted to clarify the situation with his mother, the older gentleman suddenly ran towards me, became violent and pushed me out of the counter. This was too much, I wanted to call the police, but my friends talked me out of it. I then told Roman that he couldn't expect a positive review of the hotel from me. He then freaked out and said I was threatening him. The next day at 9:50 (we couldn't believe it) the cleaning lady knocked on our door and asked when we were leaving the room. Afterwards we were happy to be away from this hotel and these terrible hosts. We have never experienced a story like this before and I hope you won't have to experience it either.

20/08/2024: Very nice, excellent location, very good and plentiful breakfast and dinner buffets. Friendly staff, only one small negative note, excessive price for 1 old room and without bidet. Very uncomfortable.

19/08/2024: We waited 1 hour for the food and the pizza was like cardboard, it couldn't even be eaten and I had stomach cramps after the pizza magherita, my brother threw up and my friend had a stomach ache, the pizza was so disgusting that we didn't even finish it PS: NO RECOMMENDATION

03/08/2024: Ich hatte das Vergnügen, die Frommeralm in Welschnofen zu besuchen und kann sie nur wärmstens empfehlen! Die Lage ist einfach atemberaubend, eingebettet in eine traumhafte Berglandschaft, die jeden Naturfreund ins Schwärmen bringt. Das Essen war absolut hervorragend. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Vielfalt und Qualität der Speisen – einfach ein Gaumenschmaus! Besonders beeindruckt war ich davon, wie die Küche auf meine glutenfreien Sonderwünsche eingegangen ist. Alles wurde perfekt umgesetzt und ich konnte meine Mahlzeiten ohne Bedenken genießen. Das Personal war außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und gut aufgehoben. Jeder Wunsch wurde umgehend und mit einem Lächeln erfüllt. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch in der Frommeralm und kann diesen Ort jedem nur ans Herz legen!

09/07/2024: All'arrivo della funivia Laurin1, molti tavoli all'aperto. Propone molti piatti, non solo locali. Servizio rapido, ma una cameriera parla solo in tedesco (!).

20/02/2024: Premetto che sono quasi vent'anni che frequentiamo il ristorante, che è sempre stato tappa fissa nelle nostre vacanze invernali. (anche più giorni di seguito). In tutti questi anni ci siamo fatti un'idea che il personale non è incline all'accoglienza, è molto freddo con i clienti (soprattutto quelli che parlano italiano), insomma sempre sul filo della scortese solerzia. Questa volta però abbiamo passato abbondantemente il segno. Abbiamo cenato nel locale domenica sera ed è andato tutto bene. Martedì sera chiamo per prenotare a pranzo il mercoledì. Mi risponde il titolare che mi dice "abbiamo disponibilità a mezzogiorno". Perfetto. Il mercoledì ci presentiamo al cancello (sì perché è stato installato un cancello tra il bar e la sala, forse per mettere bene le cose in chiaro con i clienti) alle ore 12.05, dodici e zerocinque. Chiedo la prenotazione e il proprietario mi dice, con evidente soddisfazione nella voce: "il vostro tavolo è già stato occupato". Alla mia incredulità egli rincara, sempre più tronfio, indicandomi l'orologio: "sono le 12 e 07, ormai il treno è partito, il vostro tavolo è occupato. Arrivederci" E si gira e fa le mosse di andare via. Mi sono sentito come Fantozzi arrivato ad Ortisei. Surreale. Ovviamente l'ho ripreso, ovviamente mi sono scontrato verbalmente con lui, gli ho chiaramente detto di vergognarsi, di fronte a tutta la sala, e ce ne siamo andati, ma l'amarezza rimane. Rimane perché non ci è stata offerta nessuna parola di scusa, nessuna ammissione di colpa, nessuna remora, anzi con un gusto tangibile, a sbatterci fuori, dopo tutti gli anni che siamo stati suoi ospiti, probabilmente senza che nemmeno si fosse preso la briga di conoscerci, perché evidentemente non ci ha riconosciuto, e se l'ha fatto, è ancora peggio. Questa persona che per 5 minuti di orologio ha annullato una prenotazione e ha letteralmente sbattuto in strada 3 persone, suoi clienti fedeli e di vecchia data. Ecco, questa persona, che dirige un luogo che dovrebbe essere il tempio dell'accoglienza altoatesina, oltre che la sua, rovina la la reputazione di un intera regione. A te, maleducato e villano, lo dico di nuovo: vergognati.

14/02/2024: Scortesia indegna, vergognosa non solo per la categoria dei ristoratori. Un comportamento che oltrepassa i limiti accettabili della più basilare educazione. Prenotato per le 12.00 arrivati alle 12.05. Il tavolo era già stato assegnato ad altri clienti. Nel comunicarcelo non “un mi spiace…”, un “vediamo se riesco a sistemarvi comunque…”, un “se volete aspettare qualche minuto…” Ma dal titolare in persona ci sono state dette frasi come: “dovevate arrivare in orario”, “il treno ormai è passato”. Contemporaneamente sottraendosi al confronto e offendendoci con arroganza compiaciuta. Tutto ciò aggravato dal fatto che sono almeno 15 anni che siamo clienti di questo locale. Non c’è qualità di cucina che compensi una tale mancanza di ospitalità.

19/08/2024: I don't understand how 3 stars can be assigned to a hotel that doesn't have a lift or even a bidet in the bathroom (it's never happened that I didn't find a bidet in an Italian hotel). Not to mention the terrible service and really rude staff. Very bad experience.

08/08/2024: Hotel very well located, clean and comfortable. A personalized and warm welcome. Dinner and breakfast very good. Absolutely recommended
