We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated immediately with a friendly reminder of the remaining time for our meal.
The staff were so friendly and attentive – wonderful! And the food was perfect!
Thank you for a wonderful evening in this beautiful garden!
Of course, I also took a look inside the inn – so quaint, cozy, and inviting, absolutely wonderful!

07/07/2025: Excellent restaurant. Excellent food, good service, good prices. The composition of local specialties is guaranteed to lift your mood. The only downside was that I had to wait at the cash register for about a quarter of an hour to pay by card, because there is only one boss and the other staff were probably incompetent...

15/07/2025: Our intuition led us here, and we haven't regretted it. Very attentive staff, delicious food. If we can make it during our vacation, we'd be happy to come back.
The only downside, if any, is the location on the busy road. But that's definitely something we can overlook.
02/06/2025: I had roast beef with onions. The meat, however, wasn't roast beef. It was sliced far too thinly, only about 7-8 mm thick. Therefore, it wasn't possible to cook it medium-rare. The meat was buried under a mountain of fried onions. The fried onions were deep-fried and therefore very sticky. To compensate for the poor roast beef, the restaurant offered a grappa from the barrel. A nice gesture, but it didn't make the roast beef any better.

03/06/2025: The best Buschenschank ever. Run by a lovely family, and the dumplings are fantastic. And then an apple strudel afterward, and happiness is complete.
31/05/2025: A lovely place to stop for a break during the Waal hike above Marling/Lana. The garden is lovely to sit in... very friendly service and good value for money. We'll definitely stop by again on our next hike. Thank you.

17/06/2025: We ate there today on our bike tour. You can sit inside or on one of the two terraces. The food was delicious; I had the trout-filled ravioli and my wife had the Schlutzkrapfen.
There's a trout pond at the restaurant where you can fish.
11/06/2025: Definitely highly recommended, very tasty food, friendly service, we would be happy to come back.

06/05/2025: Sind bei der Heimreise durch Lana gefahren und wollten uns für die Brotzeit noch ein bisschen Speck mitnehmen. Die Qualität ist/war eine Unverschämtheit. Blasser Speck, der zur Hälfte aus Fett bestand. Leider wurde der Speck gleich aus der Vitrine genommen. Zurechtgeschnitten. Hätte ich mir nur das Stück zeigen lassen, ich hätte es nie gekauft. Alles weggeschmissen, weil definitiv ungenießbar.

27/06/2025: The food alone deserves 5 stars. Unfortunately, neither the service nor the ambiance are up to scratch. Dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant, except in an uncomfortable side area. The value for money is disastrous.
We won't be dining there again. It's a shame for the chef.
12/06/2025: Discovered by chance and spontaneously. A must for gourmets in Lana, as the cuisine is worthy of a Michelin star. A competent service team works in an attractive ambiance, and the creative cuisine will delight everyone. Highly recommended!
