30/01/2026: Simply the best restaurant in the Merano area! A magical place that is both historical and modern with indoor and outdoor dining options that are tastefully decorated. The menu has a good choice of dishes and isn't overwhelming, but the wine and drinks list is extensive and well curated. The dishes themselves are stunning in execution with obvious great care and thought to their balance. The pasta dishes really stand out but you really can't go wrong with any choice. Desert doesn't disappoint either with the creme brulee being one of the very best I've ever tested. Service is prompt and courteous with a special mention for our host Nadine who was both warm and professional. Thanks to whole team at Miil, it truly is a special place.

06/11/2025: A wonderfully rustic dining room with authentic food and great service. The food was absolutely fantastic. Spare ribs with coleslaw and a trio of dumplings: divine. Although the chestnut tiramisu didn't live up to its name and didn't really taste like the aforementioned nut, it still gets 5 out of 5 chestnuts!

The view is simply incredible, and the entire atmosphere is truly special. Brigitte, the owner, provided us with excellent support from the very beginning – always friendly, professional, and highly experienced. The pre-planning process was absolutely seamless, and we always felt we were in good hands. A huge thank you also to her entire team: attentive, warm, and incredibly well-organized. The service on our wedding day was top-notch, and the food was simply amazing – we received nothing but rave reviews from our guests. Overall, a truly perfect location. 15/09/2025: We came here by chance on Sunday, and it was sensational. The cheese dumplings are truly a dream; I've never eaten dumplings this good. We immediately reserved a table for Wednesday. Unfortunately, Mondays and Tuesdays are closed, otherwise we would have only eaten here. A poem...

The atmosphere is simple, at times rustic, yet refined. The waiters are calm and respectful. They were professional, even with my friend who unfortunately has a disability. Thank you for everything.

17/02/2026: Waalrast is always our first stop when we arrive in Lana for our beloved South Tyrol holidays. I've known this restaurant since 2006, and even as a little boy, I was captivated by the stunning view. The food is very traditional and delicious. You can also enjoy Waalrast as a rest stop after admiring the adjacent Brandis Waalweg trail with its beautiful location and breathtaking views. It's simply a must-visit for us on every South Tyrol holiday, and a visit always brings back wonderful memories. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

12/02/2026: Superb place, lovely winter events like the "market" with heated domes for dining, etc. The food is excellent, but classic forest fare, so not the best. The only flaw I'd give the place is a single charging station in an inconveniently steep and narrow parking lot. Please add another.

10/02/2026: Typical Tyrolean beer hall atmosphere with a drunk on duty who "cheers up" the atmosphere, the beer is naturally excellent, prices in line with the area

21/08/2025: Excellent small wine bar to grab a great glass from a wide variety of wines and a small plate to eat. The staff are very knowledgeable on the wines and area. They are very friendly and enjoy the business. Highly recommend visiting this small business while in town.
