06/10/2025: Since we had skipped the Talschlusshütte, we spontaneously stopped at the Pichlerhof. A fantastic view from the terrace and excellent Tyrolean cuisine were a wonderful experience. And the prices are very reasonable, too. Traditional South Tyrolean hospitality is still there. Highly recommended as a vacation accommodation.
24/09/2025: We stopped for lunch after cycling the Gola Pass. We ate deliciously on the outdoor terrace with a stunning view of the Collalto.
The lady who served us was very kind, and the prices were excellent.

23/12/2025: We stayed at this hotel for 3 days in December, and what can I say? The staff were incredibly kind, the hotel was new. Our room had a stunning view and was wonderfully quiet. The bathroom deserved top marks. The breakfast was plentiful and made with local produce. Dinner offered dishes that truly reminded you of Trentino Alto Adige. The Christmas atmosphere was magical. Thank you, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back.

20/04/2026: I'm giving one star not for the quality of the food, which is good, nor for the location, which is splendid, but for behavior that I consider unacceptable in 2026.
When I received the bill, I was informed that payment by card was not possible, only cash. There was no notice on the menu, no sign at the entrance, and no verbal communication when ordering. When I said I'd have to count the amount if I had enough cash, I was offered an instant bank transfer: this proves that the internet connection is present and that the POS's refusal was not due to technical issues, but a specific management decision.
I find this behavior extremely serious for two reasons:
1. It's an inconvenience to the customer: If I hadn't had enough change with me, how would I have managed? In a remote area, it's not easy to find an ATM. It's an embarrassing situation that a customer shouldn't have to experience. 2. Lack of civic duty: As a VAT-registered taxpayer, I know what it means to pay taxes and fees. The mandatory POS law has been in place for years precisely to ensure tax equity. Seeing this situation repeat itself over time (as confirmed by other reviews) suggests a systematic attempt to circumvent the rules to the detriment of those who pay taxes every day.
The law is the same for everyone, even at high altitudes. I hope the management finally decides to comply with the current regulations out of respect for customers and the community.

01/07/2026: On a sweltering summer day, this is a truly charming place to relax and unwind. Located a bit off the beaten path, we only discovered it through a recommendation from our landlady – hence, it wasn't crowded.
The name "Icebar" is somewhat misleading, as the selection of ice cream and sundaes is quite limited. There were only two sundaes and five flavors of ice cream – but at least they had proper whipped cream.
However, they offer a wide variety of drinks for every occasion.
The staff was quick, friendly, and helpful – perfect.
We were a little disappointed that, with temperatures over 30°C, they didn't consider opening the parasols over the lovely seating areas by the water – understandably, no one sat there then.
The concept of using wooden plaques with QR codes to download the menu to your phone might be trendy, but it should be reconsidered. Due to the worn printed code, it took several attempts to open the menu at all—a real menu is a real menu.
Otherwise, it's a nice place to take a break with a good drink or a scoop of ice cream with whipped cream.
19/06/2026: Nice setting and good drinks. Unfortunately, the gentleman wasn't very welcoming, unlike the young people who were very kind. We asked the gentleman what drinks they served because we didn't want the usual spritz; the question was asked because there were no menus at the table. The gentleman arrogantly placed the menu on our table and, turning around as he went back inside, shouted, "But how can I list the drinks? We're a bar, you know how many drinks we serve!" I wonder: was it difficult to give us the menu without unnecessary comments? Or at least leave the menus on each table.

28/06/2026: I had lunch at this restaurant recommended to me, and the food was excellent. With some hesitation, I ordered a Margherita pizza (obviously, I asked for the oregano to be omitted, as they assume the base for any pizza is tomato and oregano) and was pleasantly surprised by its lightness, crispness, and flavor. My companion also ordered a 4-cheese pizza (with some modifications, namely omitting the tomato and oregano and dicing the cheeses into small pieces, not creamed). It was truly a wonderful discovery, essential for Italians who want something similar to our pizza.
28/06/2026: Poor service. The server walked right past us the third time we asked if we wanted anything, and when we said yes, nothing happened. Then they asked us again, but unfortunately, nothing happened. We can't comment on the food; we left after our drinks.

27/02/2025: Siamo stati in vacanza insieme ad un gruppo di amici e quello che abbiamo visto è stato al di sopra delle più rosee aspettative! Un panorama mozzafiato ha fatto da cornice al pranzo di qualità eccellente. Verena ci ha accolto con grande gentilezza e cordialità.

*Kellner/Servicepersonal/Bedienmädchen freundlicher oder zuvorkommender Empfang von potenziellen Gästen/Kunden leider leider Fehlanzeige. Kein nettes Lächeln, sondern nur mürrisches Gesicht und eher Ablehnung gegenüber Gästen. Also nicht besonders einladender Empfang.
* Speisen sind grundsätzlich ok, regional & frisch. Preise sind noch im Rahmen, aber schon eher gehoben. Leider waren meine Speisen teilweise zu bemängeln. Gruß aus der Küche kam erst kurz nach der Vorspeise (Vitello Tonnato) dazu. Während ich noch mit dem letzten Drittel meiner Vorspeise beschäftigt war, wurde schon versucht das Hauptgericht an den Tisch zu bringen. Da ich aber noch mit der Vorspeise beschäftigt war, wurde das Hauptgericht wieder mitgenommen. Eine ganze Weile später war ich mit der Vorspeise fertig, dann wurde das Hauptgericht wieder an den Tisch gebracht. Weißer Spargel mit gekochtem Schinken, Kartoffeln & Bozenersosse >> hatte schon damit gerechnet, dass alles kalt an den Tisch kommt, aber der Spargel (war noch etwas hart) & die Kartoffeln wurden vermutlich in der Mikrowelle noch mal sehr stark erhitzt, daher habe ich mir fast den Mund/Lippe/Zunge verbrannt. 🙄 Aber immerhin besser als kalt. Dessert Erdbeer Panna Cotta >> kenne ich eher in festem Zustand, geschmacklich war es ganz ok, Konsistenz war eher eine Panna-Cotta-Creme.
* Meine Empfehlung an den Inhaber, BITTE explizit auf eine professionelle gastronomische Schulung des Personals Wert legen. Zeitlicher Ablauf in einem Gastronomiebetrieb, Umgangsformen gegen über Gästen/Kunden, so wie Freundlichkeit und aktiv auf potenzielle Kunden zugehen und eventuell Wünsche eingehen, oder nachfragen, ob der Gast zufrieden ist.
>> Daher mein Fazit >> nur drei PunkteBefriedigend meine Bewertung!

20/02/2025: Man kommt nach Hause. Diese urige Berghütte mit dem besten Kaiserschmarren ist besuchenswert. Das Personal empfängt einen freunlich und auch die Auswahl an Heißgetränken aus Omas Berggarten ist sehens- und trinkenswert!
05/02/2025: locale accogliente e super organizzato nonostante il grande numero di sciatori in transito. Personale veramente gentile e disponibile. Caldo e tipico chalet di montagna con piatti tipici della zona.

Rifugio Roma - Kasselerhütte

02/03/2025: Trekking superlativo con ramponi e ciaspole per raggiungere il rifugio Roma. Camminando non si può non ammirare il panorama tutt'attorno. Arrivati al rifugio ci accoglie una signora molto simpatica che ci rifocilla con speck e strudel squisiti.

20/08/2024: A ridosso della terza cascata di Riva sorge questo hotel ristorante dove ci siamo fermati per uno spuntino ed abbiamo ordinato una minestra d’orzo (buona), un antipasto “spuntino” composto da uovo sodo, cetriolino, due assaggi di formaggi , salsiccia affumicata e speck, direi nell’insieme ampiamente sufficiente per gusto e quantità accompagnato da un cestino di pane bianco (nella media) e nero (buono).
Ad accompagnare il pasto della birra media alla spina, acqua ed un caffè per un totale di € 25,50 in due, direi congruo per quando gustato e la location.
Il menù propone prettamente piatti tirolesi caldi e freddi ed offre servizio bar anche nell’ampio dehor antistante la struttura.
Il personale è stato solerte e gentile, il cibo e la cucina sono da 6,5-7 ed i prezzi non sono esagerati.
Un’esperienza positiva nel nostro caso e lo consiglio per una sosta ristoratrice.
02/08/2024: Il personale e scortese, e arrivato a tavola un piatto che non era mio l’ho detto e al posto di cambiarlo mi hanno portato del piccante perché il piatto che avevo ordinato era piccante.
