16/11/2025: We ate tagliolini with white truffle, bruschetta with pecorino and lard, and an egg with truffle. Everything was exceptional.
19/10/2025: I stumbled upon this little gem while driving through Val d’Orcia and it’s an absolute must visit! At some point I wondered where my GPS was taking me but keep going, I promise it’s with it. The view from the terrace is spectacular and the food was very delicious. I had carbonara with fresh truffles and a panna cotta for desert. The wine was excellent as well. They have a small menu in comparison to other restaurants but there’s something on there for everyone. Additionally, this way they can make sure the produce is always fresh and local. The staff was very friendly as well. They also had an adorable cat that would sit down next to you.
I will definitely come back here if I visit Val d’Orcia again.

15/09/2025: The hospitality and food were truly perfect for a completely relaxing evening! The menu was extensive and had plenty of options for celiacs like me, including desserts. The staff were friendly and helpful; we immediately let them know we had a large dog, and they let us park right in front of the restaurant for convenience. This will definitely be a place we'll return to.
15/09/2025: Great local place with amazing food. Run by mother and daughter, the service was amazing.

20/04/2025: Come da titolo sono capitato qui per caso, ore 14:25 entro in questo bar chiedendo se è possibile mangiare un panini o tramezzino, il ragazzo molto gentile mi indica che sopra c'è la trattoria se vogliamo accomodarci.
Saliamo e veniamo accolti da Gianluca che ci fa accomodare e spiega il menù.....qui non c'è menù scritto ma menù verbale elencato in modo sapiente da Gianluca.
Visto l'orario e un po' di fretta optiamo per i classici Pici, che però qui di classico non hanno nulla....sono tre anni che vengo in Toscana ma Pici così non li ho mai assaggiati...buonissimi, servizio superbo e con nostra sorpresa prezzo nella media, se vi capita provate perchè davvero merita.
06/04/2025: Posto piccolo ma veramente carino, si è mangiato molto bene, con tartare di manzo che era una freschezza assoluta e si è speso veramente bene per la qualità dei prodotti… Poi il proprietario una bellissima persona cordiale e gentile…. Da ritornare assolutamente 👍

04/11/2025: It's always a real pleasure to spend a few days at Locanda del Castello. Massimo is a wonderful and friendly host and a skilled chef. The menu is extensive and excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. A must-visit!
08/10/2025: Massimo and Serena are beautiful people. Food was absolutely delicious. Unique presentation of tiramisu but very tasty.

15/09/2025: Restaurant: The food in this restaurant is undoubtedly very good – you can immediately tell that the chef really knows what he's doing.
Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is completely out of whack. For a small restaurant in a tiny and relatively unknown town like Montisi, the prices are completely exorbitant.
There are only two flat rates for primi piatti and secondi piatti – this means, for example, that you have to pay a whopping €22 for a tiny soup that definitely won't fill you up. Even €12 would be quite high for that, but €22 is truly outrageous.
The bigger problem, however, is the ordering policy: After we had already ordered a drink and actually only wanted one main course, the waiter informed us that we had to order two dishes per person. The information about this is only mentioned in very small print at the bottom of the menu. This means that guests are either forced to eat more (and pay significantly more) than they actually want – or leave the restaurant. That's exactly what happened at the next table: The guests got up and left because they couldn't afford or didn't want to comply with this rule.
We ourselves did order a second course, but it felt very strange to be forced to do so. In my opinion, such a practice is neither hospitable nor economically sensible. Either you allow guests to order according to their hunger and appetite and still make money, or you force them to order two courses and ultimately lose customers.
I've never experienced anything like this in Italy, and frankly, I find it extremely rude.
26/06/2025: La Romita es un pintoresco restaurante dirigido por la familia que sirve comida tradicional toscana casera.
Éramos 4 adultos que compartimos dos aperitivos que eran increíbles y disfrutamos de primer y segundo plato y luego compartimos un postre.
Aunque no son baratos los precios eran comparables a otros restaurantes de calidad en los que hemos estado y la calidad de los platos era excepcional.
Los propietarios hablan un poco de inglés, pero logramos entender lo que se ofrecía con la ayuda de un menú en inglés que explicaba algunos de los platos que se ofrecen.
Una experiencia auténtica que disfrutaríamos felizmente de nuevo.

19/05/2025: Un podere immerso nel verde e nella tranquillità con alcune cose da rivedere, l’appartamento a mio parere è trascurato, manca di aria condizionata e l’acqua della doccia è appena tiepida, l’arredamento tristissimo, la cena sopravaluta per quello che si paga, le quantità sono scarse a prezzi altissimi

16/10/2023: Ristorante all’interno della struttura alberghiera di Villa Armena. Un luogo incantevole immerso nella campagna toscana. Il locale è ristrutturato con gusto ed arredato in maniera elegante. Il menù, dai piatti interessanti, offre una varia scelta tra cui i tipici piatti della tradizione. Nonostante la presenza di poco personale in cucina e al servizio, durante la nostra cena l attesa è stata corretta. I piatti ordinati sono stati tutti di nostro pieno gradimento. Complimenti allo staff.
12/10/2023: It was awesome, the attention a 10 out of 10, the food was amazing, the place and the view was the best thing of all. I really enjoy it and i would recommend 100%!
