07/06/2026: I'm surprised by the positive reviews I read. The atmosphere is certainly welcoming, and eating outside is even better. We'll leave it at that, though. The food was decidedly inadequate: we had an appetizer of fried artichokes and zucchini flowers, 90% battered, which were decidedly difficult to eat and digest. I had tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and the tagliatelle were stuck together, and the only thing I could eat were the porcini mushrooms, which were not very fresh. I don't think we'll ever return; it's a shame, because it was worth it.

08/06/2026: Yesterday, we had a flawless lunch at the Valserena restaurant. My wife, a friend, and I were blown away by the incredibly tender, flavorful, and truly special meat. The pici with Cinta Senese pork and the tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms were also excellent. Despite it being a communion, the service was incredibly fast. Kudos also to Ira, the owner's wife, for her care and attention. We absolutely recommend this place.
04/06/2026: Please put up a sign when the restaurant is closed. We drove a long way only to arrive at a closed door. It's very disappointing and frustrating.

05/05/2026: We're in Piazza di Provenzano. The place is spacious but rather dark. The pizza is good, although the pasta could be improved with a wider selection.
02/05/2026: In a very central location (not "near the center" as some have written, but in Piazza Provenzano, within the walls of the historic center, a 200-meter walk from Piazza del Campo!) yet still quiet, with a lovely outdoor terrace overlooking the square, it makes excellent wood-fired pizzas with a light, easily digestible dough, plus ciaccini and more, all made with quality ingredients.
Friendly and friendly staff.
Fair prices.

Rooms aren't overly spacious but offer every comfort. A good bed for resting and rejuvenating. The bathroom is a decent size, but the shower is a bit small.
Decent WiFi; the ground-floor rooms have limited reception, but it's perfect in all common areas.
The restaurant is in a stunning location; truly delicious food, carefully prepared and beautifully presented.
The panoramic terrace is perfect for reading, enjoying a nice aperitif, and enjoying the view in complete tranquility.
I recommend staying a few days.

11/05/2026: Room are small. The restaurant looked ok but the secondo piati that we had order ed was forgotten. We had to ask about it after others around us who had arrived at the same time were onto coffee. There want even an apology. Very poor service.

15/06/2026: We celebrated my niece's first communion here. It's a charming place, the service is impeccable and attentive, and we had a truly delicious meal. Congratulations!! And the view of the Sienese hills is beautiful.

09/05/2026: A steal! Be careful! ⚠️
I went for breakfast and chose two plain schiacciatine from the display case despite there being no prices visible. Only when I got to the point of paying, hearing the incredible price, did I ask how much the savory items cost, and the answer shocked me: €4.50 each.
28/04/2026: A truly well-stocked café, with a section for basic and non-basic food products. They care deeply about the local area and offer local products.
If you stop by, ask for Marco, who will be more than happy to offer you a coffee. He's truly an incredible person.
But overall, everyone is friendly and helpful.

18/06/2025: Pizza da asporto, aperta a casa completamente bruciata. Ho mostrato la pizza ai proprietari chiedendo di poter avere una pizza commestibile. Ho ricevuto insulti relativi alla mia incompetenza, perché per loro la pizza non era bruciata. Peccato non sia riuscita a fare foto. Non andrò mai più in quel ristorante.

18/01/2025: Bel locale con parcheggio, in inverno molto accogliente con il bracere acceso, cibo ottimo cucinato all'espresso. Il menù è vario, spazia dalla carne al pesce , c'è davvero una grande scelta. Il fritto di carciofi e fiori per me è impareggiabile. Il personale è gentile e professionale. Il titolare molto cordiale. Rapporto qualità/ prezzo più che buono.
03/01/2025: Posto carino, cibo ottimo. Consigliatissimo per chi vuole gustare pasta fatta in casa e carne di primissima qualità. Ottimo servizio.

19/08/2024: Ieri con mia moglie siamo andati a fare un giro in Vespa e ci siamo fermati a fare un aperitivo. Abbiamo preso due aperitivi e un tagliere con affettati e formaggi + 1/2 litro di acqua spendendo in tutto 24 euro. Le bevande erano buone e anche i formaggi, da rivedere invece gli affettati soprattutto il prosciutto e il capocollo che non avevano un buon sapore, non freschi o mal conservati.

22/09/2024: Qualità del cibo buona, sì riconoscono i sapori tipici toscani. Tagliere di salumi e formaggi molto buono, vino della casa molto buono, buoni anche i pigi. Soddisfatti 👌🏻
08/09/2024: Nach drei Jahren Pause hatten wir uns auf das Essen in der Osteria gefreut und wurden sehr enttäuscht! Leider hat der Pächter gewechselt und das Essen war unter aller Kanone. Die Rezensionen und Fotos vor 2023 betreffen den alten Pächter und stimmen mit der heutigen, schlechten Qualität absolut nicht überein. Viel zu teuer! Lieber woanders essen!
