11/01/2024: Particular place where I have eaten several times and have always enjoyed it (fish). Fun karaoke evening. Lots of free parking. I'm sorry it closed... I don't know...!!! Nice Valentine's evening. ..I remember with pleasure. Let's hope it can reopen!!!
04/01/2024: Sunday evening. Precisely yesterday. We were out and about, many restaurants were closed. I open The Fork, I book at the Tuscans. The name should "be" a guarantee, it should..... We arrive at 8.05pm. There was no mention of Karaoke on The Fork, we went in, loud music. And when you want to have dinner in peace... It's not the best. And that's fine.. It's the same.. The waiter makes us sit at the table, the one at the top of the stairs, the furthest from the actual room. The singers finish their rehearsals, and the music is turned down, thank goodness we said to ourselves. We order 2 Tuscan platters, and one of cheese and honey. Followed by 2 first courses, and I ask for a Florentine steak with fillet. The waiter goes to the kitchen, comes back and tells us they only have ribeye. Okay. We're hungry, that's fine anyway. We ask for a side dish, he suggests battered vegetables: flowers.. Artichokes.. Chips and sage. We gladly accept. I ask for the wine list: a Bolgheri, 2 types of Morellino, and very few other reds. Only I drink red wine, I ask for a morellino with a predominance of San Giovese. The bottle arrives, I taste it: I let it go well, without infamy and without praise. The appetizers arrive: The two Tuscan platters... 2 slices of very fine, 2 of finocchiona, two half slices of raw ham, 3 crostini: have you ever seen the crostini with Tuscan liver pâté made with tomato? Not me.. But they were red, there was tomato. Meh.......... A small cocotte with what was supposed to be tomato soup: it was tomato sauce, where was the bread with the soup? I don't know. Not even basil. Tomato sauce or Tuscan jelly?!?! Can be... The cheese platter: 5 thin slices of the same unmatured pecorino and 2 of semi-aged pecorino. All with half a finger of wildflower honey (little finger), insufficient. Does honey cost that much?! I go down to go out and smoke a cigarette outside: one of the owners, who hadn't greeted us, hadn't served us... Having also gone out to smoke, he makes a joke about smoking that I don't remember. I replied that I was on my second cigarette, given that the service was significantly late (37 minutes had already passed since the end of the starter). They didn't even take back our starter plates, which remained empty and dirty on the table. His ironic response: we're sorry, we didn't know you were in a hurry! I calmly replied that we were in no hurry, but that waiting 40 minutes between the starter and the second courses wasn't nice. He doesn't even answer me. He goes away. Okay.. What do we do now? Eh.. Now we wait, and hope.... Result: exactly 52 minutes after the end of the starters, the 2 first courses arrive, the rib-eye and what should have been 3 side dishes of battered vegetables. The half sleeves, the Gnocchetti... I had asked for a 1kg rib eye. I received a 1.2kg rib, the bone weighed almost more than the meat. I was hungry.. I start to eat. The fat in the meat was not cooked. And there is nothing worse. Is fried courgette flowers artichokes and chips? I don't know. 2 pieces of vegetables and all fried sage leaves: 3 portions of fried sage 13.50 euros. Dear my sage!!!!! They tell me that the first ones were tasteless... I can't know, I didn't want to try them. You order dessert, I wanted to leave.. But the others wanted dessert.. And well.. I ask if the cheese cake had a sauce. They reply that they only have toppings and no sauces. I choose a cake with a soft chocolate centre. It comes with 2 splashes of whipped non-dairy cream, which came apart in 20 seconds. I dig my fork into the cake and taste it: foam. I left him. At the checkout the owner himself didn't even ask me how it was going. He gave me the bill and that was it. 127.00 euros for 3 starters, a 500g rib bone. 2 first courses and 3 fried sage. 127 euros, already considering the 30% discount the fork of 38.25 euros. I only say one thing to these people: stop opening restaurants. I wouldn't go back even if they paid me to do it. Only the waiter is saved. The rest is OUT.

But in this place everything changes .... the flavors are excellent , the pizza is light and goes down so well that you would even eat two in a row... You can smell the fragrance of the truly perfectly leavened and cooked dough..... behind it there is certainly the passion and knowledge of those who love their product in all aspects, there is the transport of those who want to offer you a sensation and Giovanni really does it. The environment reflects these aspects, welcoming, clean and varied... many vintage objects make up the furnishings, quality objects and refined in taste and arrangement....the value given to time.....During the Christmas period we also had the opportunity to taste Giovanni's panettone...absolute masterpieces...fragrant and delicate, the various flavors melted on the palate like caresses. I'm happy to be able to say that even in Pisa there are those who make you taste great quality pizzas. The craft beers are also excellent. Well done Giovanni!!!!!! P.S. .....Absolutely worth trying is the "Farina del mio sack" pizza....with larded prawns and crispy bacon...mmmhhhhhh.

12/09/2023: We ordered a pizza at 10.30pm. The pizza we ate was raw, acidic, with a slight fishy aftertaste (which shouldn't have been there). Worse than the pineapple kebab pizza in Lisbon. Not even my dog ​​wanted it.
11/09/2023: We got two pizzas, but we had to eat more! Raw, without salt, acidic sauce and with a fishy aftertaste (even though there was no fish)

26/02/2024: It recently opened under new management, the bar has a counter worthy of a pastry shop, beautiful sweets and savories for every taste. The lunch menu is extensive, with quality raw materials, truly excellent express cuisine and VERY LOW PRICES, highly recommended! (Today I had steamed squid with Catalan salad of vegetables and water... total €7 😱)

29/12/2023: Indubbiamente devo ammettere che la grigliata mista di carne non è male, anche la tagliata si mangia. La torta della nonna è buona. Per il resto (locale, esposizione prezzi, aspetti igienici, bagni e similari) non si devono avere proprio pretese di nessun tipo e mi fermo qui.
14/11/2023: Mi è stato regalato in occasione dei miei 50 anni di matrimonio una cena in questo locale…. Tutto veramente da dimenticare. Considerando che siamo andati fra settimana c’era un caos tanto che non si riusciva a parlare!!! Il cibo scadente ( la frittura di pesce piena di olio da non poter mangiare anche la carne di pessima qualità… e il dolce lo abbiamo lasciato) inutile spendere poco per non mangiare È CHIARO CHE NON CI TORNEREMO

11/11/2023: Ho soggiornato in questo grazioso hotel dove il tempo si è fermato, Una camera graziosa senza rumori ho dormito come un sasso! Camera pulita, composta da mobili antichi molto caratteristici e pratici, Ho poi cenato le due sere che son rimasto a dormire, Ottime cene; Ottima la vellutata densa di patate e di secondo per continuare ho scelto il polpettone di patate e verdure su fagioli al fiasco dico solo fantastico! Servita da Giulia, La sera dopo ho cominciato con uno sformato di zucca su fonduta di pecorino x finire uno spezzatino di chianina alla birra con contorno fi porcini trifolati Slurp! E questa sera ero servito da Susy la chef! Yuri alla consol è il No.1 anche perché poi mi ha lasciato allenarmi x tutte e due le sere In palestra visto che ero in trasferta x un aggiornamento di pasticceria alla Tessieri di Ponsacco nn lontano da Villa Maya e ora ci sono delle graziose lampade a muro che illuminano l'esterno di sera molto gradito! La receptionista gentile ed efficace, Brava pure la dignora ai piani, Ottima la colazione ti viene chiesto appena arrivi a che ora vuoi la colazione e cosa vuoi è fantastico: Ho trovato al tavolo appena seduto del pane fatto in casa, Lo yogurt che preferivo e la banana già a fette! Colazione un sorriso e via!

26/07/2023: Posto tipico sardo in terra toscana, dove si respira L’ amore per le proprie origini. Cibo ottimo e abbondante, accoglienza cortese e sorridente. Un po’ di attesa tra una portata e L’ altra ma ne valeva la pena. Ci torneremo senz’altro … da assaggiare anche il mirto “ bianco”.
