19/05/2025: The structure is unique and well-kept, with clean and tidy rooms.
Breakfast, however, leaves much to be desired: the sweets (donuts, cakes, pangoccioli, pan brioche...) were dry and did not seem fresh, I would say almost inedible. The offer of drinks was very limited: only pear juices, only classic and green tea.
Positive note: honey, yogurt, cold cuts and scrambled eggs prepared by Lacrima, a very kind and really nice person, who does everything possible to welcome everyone with courtesy. Unfortunately, being alone in managing the dining room, cafeteria and kitchen, the service suffers a bit in terms of timing, but certainly not for a lack of commitment on her part.
Furthermore, three gin and tonics for 60 euros, prepared with Hendrick's (a commercial gin), seem really excessive to me - at that price you would expect a more refined gin.
An unprofessional episode: while we were resting in the room after a long trip with two small children, the chef knocked saying he had to come in to fix the Wi-Fi. When we asked, he explained that the fault had been caused by a storm that had occurred days before — so an intervention that could have easily been scheduled for another time, without disturbing the guests in the room. Really unfair.
Finally, a piece of advice to the owner: a little more attention to quality, organization and respect for the guests' times would really make a difference.

Buona qualità dei cibi scelti però tempi un po’ lunghi e prezzi medio alti complessivamente.

Cinque Terre is a 30-minute drive away.
12/05/2025: I am referring to the restaurant which I found very expensive in relation to the quality and quantity of the dishes, the offer and preparation of the dishes rather banal. Rude and unavailable service certainly doesn't help to digest the bill. 4 people 2 starters 2 first courses 4 second courses and 1 dessert with a (terrible) bottle of local wine over 200 euros.

14/04/2025: The museum is located in an unlikely place, you pass by and you don't notice it, there is no parking (you leave your car along the road) and barely a sign announcing it and you wonder if it really exists. When you decide to park and walk up a small, slippery path, you start to wonder if it was worth it to get there. Then, they welcome you with a kindness you don't expect, as if you were visiting old friends, they offer you coffee, you have a chat before immersing yourself in the stories of those who lived through the war. The museum reminds you of who we were, what we felt and unfortunately many similarities with what the inhabitants of Gaza experience today. The visit lasts about an hour and given the late hour, to our great surprise, you could even eat in the museum. Simple food, like at an old aunt's house, among children taking their first steps between the tables, testaroli with pesto and the feeling of being in a place where it is nice to remember what was, but above all what is. Ticket cost €3, lunch €15.

02/06/2025: We had lunch today, in the company of Friends.
Beautiful location, totally immersed in the greenery, among their vineyards.
Knowledgeable and kind staff, Andrea took the time to tell us about their wine, they made us feel like family. The food was excellent, nothing to say and their wine... too.
We will definitely be back.

È sempre un piacere tornare da Emili, un nome una garanzia!
18/05/2025: La cena da Emili è stata una di quelle esperienze che rimangono impresse, non solo per la bontà dei piatti, ma per l’atmosfera unica e la sostanza autentica che si respira in ogni dettaglio.
Il vero protagonista? Gli Sgabei: semplicemente insuperabili. Croccanti fuori, morbidi dentro, fragranti e saporiti come raramente capita di assaggiare. Un piatto che da solo vale il viaggio.
Il ristorante si trova in una posizione incantevole, nel cuore di Giucano, un borgo che sembra sospeso nel tempo. Il locale è intimo e raccolto, con una veranda che si apre sul verde circostante, regalando un senso di pace e autenticità raro. In estate, si può cenare direttamente nella suggestiva piazzetta del paese, un’esperienza davvero magica.
Il servizio è stato impeccabile: accogliente, premuroso, mai invadente.
Emili non è solo un ristorante: è un invito a rallentare, a godersi il territorio e la cucina genuina in un contesto unico.
Assolutamente consigliato.

27/05/2025: The location is wonderful....a little uncomfortable......for heavy vehicles.....in any case with my group and the bus in tow we overcame the gap due to the skill of the drivers......the rooms are comfortable......among other things I stayed in a huge and well-kept apartment.....special compliments for the room service but above all for the availability and kindness of Mr. Stefano
13/05/2025: I stayed in this hotel from Sunday to Wednesday, I was with my wife, we are retired and wanted to get to know a part of Lunigiana unknown to us. Based on my experience I believe the overall rating to be 4 stars (google) which I justify as follows:
Room, first floor with large balcony and remarkable panoramic view, large dimensions also in the room and bathroom, minimalist but functional furniture. Presence of some smudges, the fridge did not work and the relationship with the shower mixer was not always understandable, for me they did not have a big annoyance. some problems with the large and comfortable bed, but, for my build and age, a little low.
Service: not annoying, always available, daily replacement of bathroom equipment, a little scarce the toiletries. breakfast not extraordinary and abundant in choices, but overall satisfactory. I had dinner for two nights, with mixed opinions on Sunday night the food on the menu was good and I complimented the waiter, on Monday night the food was abundant, substantially good, but a canteen variety. I assume that in the second case there was less staff in the kitchen. The cost of the meals was in my opinion reasonable with, on average, a good quality-price ratio
Location: it is a hotel in a beautiful panoramic position and not far from towns and tourist places, but to reach it you have to travel on a road with curves and hairpin bends so travel times are longer

15 persone da servire,la cameriera si è vista 2 volte in un ora e mezzo...
26/12/2024: La peggior pizza e focaccia del globo , conto salatissimo. Peccato perché la location merita proprio tanto e anche la musica per ballare e' piacevole .Ma il cibo e' tutto immangiabile .

21/11/2024: Visita per il sessantesimo compleanno di un amico di famiglia. Tavolo unico a quadrato che da sul centro di un ampio salone, struttura e arredi curata, elegante, un po' fredda (in effetti a marzo abbiamo avuto un po' freddino). Antipastini misti con sgabeini e poi pizza con diversi gusti. Vino e spumante, dolce del compleanno. L'antipasto era molto buono, la pizza onesta. Non posso giudicare il rapporto qualità-prezzo perché non abbiamo pagato.
