05/12/2024: I never write reviews but theirs is well deserved. We took land and sea tasting menus which cost 30 and 35 euros respectively, prices which nowadays are almost impossible to find for what we ate. Dishes of very good quality and above all very well balanced in terms of quantity. I underline the boy who served us who was really very kind, attentive, precise and cheerful with us throughout the dinner. 5 stars in my opinion more than deserved!

12/12/2024: Excellent food, generous portions, courtesy and top cleanliness. We felt right at home. Very good price. €40 for starter, 2 first courses (plus another first course for a lactose intolerant person), 2 second courses, dessert, cantucci and liqueurs of your choice.

17/11/2024: “What there is” was precisely the phrase that led me to choose, for our dinner, this splendid and picturesque little place of wonders. After a warm welcome with the scent of family you are pampered by their amazing and, dare I say, abundant home cooking. All surrounded by a unique environment full of ancient objects of great memorial value. After this pleasant discovery, the stop there will be fixed at every opportunity. And do you know what we will eat?…. What there is.❤️

10/12/2024: Siamo stati a cena con amici dopo aver visto le foto del ristorante sui social. Alcuni di noi c'erano già stati più volte, per noi (mio marito, la bambina ed io) era la prima volta. Non ci ha deluso affatto! tutto delizioso! avevamo ordinato in precedenza il crudo di pesce ed è stato davvero superiore alle aspettative: gustoso, abbondante, freschissimo! Abbiamo poi proseguito con un primo ciascuno, anche quelli davvero prelibati. Infine, ma non da meno, il dolce.. la torretta di mille foglie con la crema e i frutti rossi era qualcosa di strepitoso!! rapporto qualità prezzo corretto in base alla materia prime che ci hanno servito! Ottimo, siamo andati via soddisfatti e torneremo sicuramente!

19/12/2024: Very nice environment, ample parking. I was there for a birthday, very attentive and impeccable service, we enjoyed an excellent fish dinner (excellent raw material and cooked very well). I don't know how much we spent because the dinner was paid for by the birthday girl. I will definitely go back.

12/11/2024: Cercavo un bel posto per festeggiare il mio 50imo a pranzo di domenica ed ho organizzato presso l’Osteria, dove avevo già cenato in un paio di occasioni, trovando le loro proposte culinarie e l’ambiente molto interessanti. Chiaramente avevo delle grosse aspettative e ci tenevo che parenti ed amici (25 in tutto) si trovassero bene. La scelta è stata quanto mai azzeccata, tutti quanti abbiamo passato una bella giornata! Il proprietario è stato disponibile fin da subito nel cercare di organizzare al meglio, dalle proposte dei menu alla scelta dei vini, dalla disposizione dei tavoli nel dehors (in una parte a noi dedicata) fino al soddisfare qualche eccezione per motivi di intolleranza sugli ingredienti. Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, ottimi i primi ed il fritto, particolarissimi gli anticipasti di mare, porzioni più che adeguate, ottimo vino e servizio. Grazie!

28/07/2024: A rustic, typical Tuscan place! Welcoming and familiar, food suitable for everyone, vegetarian and vegan omnivores. A complete menu to satisfy all palates Worthy of mention are the appetizers and the excellent Florentine steak that I had the pleasure of tasting! Honest prices and good service, a recommended place for dinners in company given the size of the place and the numerous seats! We will definitely be back for another tasting.

10/11/2024: Good place to eat both pizza and typical local cuisine. The pizza is quite good. The main problem, however, is the slow service. We arrived to a half-empty place and in any case after placing the order we waited 50 minutes. Takeaway is probably given priority and this is not good. Nice place furnished in 70s/80s style. All in all we had a good time but the speed of service needs to be improved

There are several errors in this pizza... the taste isn't bad, but it wasn't cooked well (bottom) above (oven temp.), too watery tomato which wetted the dough, plenty of mozzarella (you can see it in the photo) which weighed everything down and didn't let it "breathe". the pizza. the dough is semi-wholemeal according to the lady who serves it, and the flavor denotes it, which you may like or not. You have to ask for the receipt...

05/08/2024: There is incredibly good pizza here! Due to its location right on the street, the restaurant doesn't seem very inviting. Don't let this fool you! The pizza will make you forget everything! :)

06/08/2024: Wir waren hier öfter fussläufig essen. Es ist sehr freundlich und lecker. Einmal hatten wir nicht reserviert und die Bedienung hat uns noch die letzten freien 2 + 2 = 4er Tisch zusammengestellt. Super: Die Idee mit den Karaffen Bier - klasse bei an die 30 Grad abends. Die Lage ist "schnuckelig"

06/08/2024: There are two questions at the beginning of a possible visit: Do you want to sit comfortably in a pleasant atmosphere, or do you want to eat a fantastic pizza for little money? If the answer to question one is absolutely positive, you have no business with Scacco Matto. You sit more or less in a backyard on beer benches at long wooden tables. But if that doesn't matter, you will be rewarded with a really delicious pizza from the wood-fired oven. I would almost go so far that you don't have to try any other pizzeria in Viareggio. Since the visit took place at the beginning of our vacation, I may adjust this statement later. I can hardly imagine it though. I didn't pay attention to the individual prices of the pizzas, but with three pizzas (Salciccia, 4 Formagi, Gorgonzola) with water for €32.50, I no longer have any questions. A clear, definitive recommendation.

06/08/2024: Sehr einfach gehalten - im Hinterhof zu viert Pizza gegessen mit Bier aus der Flasche aber meine Pizza Cavallo (siehe Bild) war der Hammer. Nehmt eine Pizza Speciale (rechte Menüspalte)

09/07/2024: Very nice and welcoming pub, the owners are very kind, friendly and helpful. There are many varieties of beer (very often there are new ones) and in addition to the food you can find delicious desserts prepared by the owner. There is seating both inside and out and there is plenty of (free) parking My friends and I go there very often, sometimes we bring our board games or play with one of the guys from the club. If you have never been there I recommend you try it!

15/06/2024: I have been frequenting this Pub since it opened, over the years the young owners have grown both professionally and in their knowledge of the products and raw materials. This personal growth is also reflected in the restaurant which has completely changed its appearance over the years. Every time I go back I always find something new, both in the decor and in the large selection of beers on tap (now we're at 10!!) and in the menu (both savory and sweet!). St. Patrick's Day and Beer Festivals are epic!

17/08/2024: Finalmente un locale in cui il menu è scritto a chiare lettere sulla carta e non occorre fotografare quel grottesco e volgare quadratino fatto di quadratini. Ambiente piacevole. Cena semplice ed eccellente a base di pesce. Servizio gentile ed efficiente. Conto onesto.

14/07/2024: Ristorante rilassante , si mangia all’aperto in estate e c’è un piccolo parco giochi molto utile se si hanno bambini . Cucina varia con un tocco di fantasia e molto ben eseguita . Ottime materie prime .. buonissimo rapporto qualità prezzo .. così buono che in un mese ci siamo stati già tre volte ..
