22/06/2025: Terrace practically on the sea. The fish cooked sublimely. We ate a cacciucco (upon reservation) excellent. The only thing we didn't try was the pizza...but it looks great.
22/06/2025: Very good food, I took the fried Elba style and I was satisfied. I would have appreciated it if it had been a little less greasy because that made it heavier.
Absolutely to be taken in at least 2 because the portion is large.
For the rest everything fantastic!

13/06/2025: A beautiful bistro run with love and passion by a young team. We stopped here for lunch during our bike tour. Delicious food and a great location right by the harbor. Highly recommended. 👍💯
06/06/2025: One evening in Rio Marina, totally by chance. We decide to eat. In the meantime we have an aperitif and decide what to order for dinner.
Wonderful. We order: a cuoppo, a seafood taco and an appolpami.
The quality of the fish is excellent. Better than the big restaurants on the island.
P.S. special attention to Sofia's courtesy, kindness and availability.

26/05/2025: Als je op vakantie bent op Elba , dan kun je niet wachten dat je een pizza gaat eten bij Claudio en Mirjam van pizzeria Mistral in Cavo .
De pizza's zijn heerlijk.

24/05/2025: Era da un po' di tempo che non tornavo al Mistral Cafè, e ho deciso con mio figlio di andare al Cavo in barca, da Piombino. Se aprile è 'il mese più crudele' (cit.) , maggio è il mese più dolce e colorato per godersi l'isola d'Elba. Appena seduti ai coloratissimi tavoli del Mistral Cafè, accarezzati da un dolce maestrale che pareva spirare da un celebre quadro di Botticelli, eravamo già in vacanza. Seduti a pochi passi dall' acqua, con la barca a vista e la veduta del canale di Piombino, la Manica 'de noantri' 😁. Siamo stati accolti da una ragazza garbata e dal portamento elegante, che ci ha offerto una piccola e gustosa bruschetta di benvenuto. Dopo una breve attesa sono arrivate le straordinarie pizze di Claudio, una Juorno buono per me , mentre per mio figlio una Nicola's dal sapore squisito e dal nome che ricorda il sorriso gentile di una persona speciale . C'è poco da dire, le pizze del Mistral sono davvero speciali; ogni volta mi chiedo quanto influisca nel giudizio il clima generale di questi minuscolo locale di questa frazione remota dell'Elba. Ma non trovo la risposta. Può darsi che la stessa pizza sia ugualmente buona altrove, oppure che, come si dice, certi vini perdono il loro sapore se gustati fuori del loro 'terroir'. Certo che la magia di Maggio non la troverete in Agosto, ma a Cavo gran baldoria non c'è mai. Da terra si arriva a Cavo dopo una strada spettacolare, soprattutto per i biker (e Claudio lo è...) Quanto costa? Le pizze non sono economiche (per quanto cara possa essere una pizza!) ; grosso modo quanto Sorbillo Gourmet a Milano Duomo. C'è gara tra i due nell' esperienza complessiva? Si va ai rigori e, per me, Mistral Cafè vince 😉

15/06/2025: Informal location surrounded by greenery. What distinguishes this "restaurant" is the friendliness and conviviality of the owners and staff upon our arrival and the high quality of the food offered expertly prepared and presented.
The quality of the dishes can be seen by the touch of the palate, from the aperitif with bruschetta with herbs and locally produced oil combined with a flavored white wine.
A heavenly seafood appetizer, two shared first courses, one from land and one from sea, and a second course from sea.
Delicate flavors combined with an Elban Vermentino.
The Elban dessert "torta briaca" expertly prepared, combined with an Elban Aleatico sealed the end of the meal. The dinner was enlivened by a quality and delicate Jazz duo that accompanied the degustibus. An experience to try if you are a guest on Elba.
And .... the icing on the cake, a fabulous location for the sunset over the sea....

27/04/2025: Truly delicious pizza despite the electric oven, every time we come to Rio Marina this pizzeria is a fixed stop for us.
Furthermore, from this year, the pizza is served on a cutting board, in addition to this they have also added some really comfortable tables outside the restaurant.
The only idea I would suggest to the owner would be to provide disposable cutlery to her customers, in order to enjoy this delicious pizza even better☺️

01/06/2025: A real gem! A restaurant with an absolutely non-trivial menu, characterized by a refined and high-quality raw material. Antonio and Antonella work as a team to create dishes that are always renewed and accurate, in perfect balance between the flavors of the Rio tradition and a modern reinterpretation far from the feared tourist menus. After years of hitting and running from Rio Marina, their spaghetti with shrimp colatura remain my dish that should never be missed! Also gems from the wine list, with an equally refined selection and aimed at enhancing small businesses.
The courtesy and kindness of Veronica's service are no less. In short... an essential stop for those passing through the island!

21/06/2025: We have been coming to Elba for many years on holiday and we often go out for dinner we went to Sassi Rossi the only one to try in Cavo the impact was positive good mussels very good house appetizer and here ends the positive experience remaining 45 minutes waiting for the fried food and scialatielli which turned out to be normal unfortunately also in the almost total indifference of the staff who did not say a word to justify the wait except for one person in the hope that the quality would justify the delay I paid the bill directly at the cashier and certainly I will not return

Really quiet climate and a relaxing atmosphere in addition to a really good fish lunch.
