29/01/2026: An enchanting place in the Elba mountains. At the entrance, you'll find a blackboard with the prices for each course. There's no real menu, but depending on the evening, there will be an appetizer/first course/second course option, whether meat or fish. The staff is very friendly and courteous, and they even recommended splitting the appetizer to get the most out of it. The four of us ordered: 2 seafood appetizers to share (1/2 each) 2 seafood first courses 1 meat second course 1 seafood second course (but there was very little seafood here, and it was only spinach) 1 bottle of wine 2 desserts Total less than €40 per person Highly recommended if you like beautiful, authentic locations and first courses.

07/10/2025: A superb experience! The view is impressive, and it feels like you're on the other side of the world. It's magical. The meal is equally delicious, with fresh, daily specials. The waitress was also very kind.

28/01/2026: The restaurant is also open on non-holidays... and that's an added bonus in a town that's purely seasonal... the manager is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The food is good and well-prepared. The atmosphere is small in winter, but... dare I say "homely."

17/07/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ A paradise for focaccia lovers! I was truly impressed by this bakery: the inviting aroma wafting from the street, the warm welcome, and above all...the bread and focaccia are dreamy! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with generous, quality toppings. I tried the one with raisins, which was simply perfect. You can taste the passion and attention to every detail. I'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

03/02/2026: My partner and I booked a table here for one evening during our stay on Elba Island in June 2023. I should start by saying we don't know what the restaurant is like inside, as we dined on the covered veranda overlooking the sea, which was very pretty. The staff was friendly, but not at all professional or knowledgeable. The service was clumsy and bordering on ridiculous. We ordered two plates of seafood linguine; the pasta was overcooked, and the fish was visibly frozen (which I couldn't understand, given that Rio Marina is located by the sea and Elba offers a wide variety of fresh seafood everywhere). Everything was way too salty, wallowing in the watery sauce. The bottle of wine we ordered wasn't available, so we relied on the waitress. The wine was good. The fried fish was extremely salty and overcooked; we had to leave it because it was inedible. We finished with two terrible coffees, but they didn't ruin the dinner we'd just finished. The bill arrived, if possible, more expensive than the dishes listed above. A real disaster. I never write negative reviews, but that dinner ruined the rest of the evening, and we were annoyed that, even though we hadn't eaten anything, no one bothered to ask what the problem was. I don't recommend it.

20/02/2026: We arrived at "La Frana" on the recommendation of our landlady. It was late and out of season, yet the lovely staff were quick to serve us excellent fresh fish, a perfect, dry and delicate fried calamari, and an excellent house tagliolini. The beef and potatoes were also carefully prepared. We had a great time, comfortable, and left satisfied even after seeing and paying the bill. Seeing is believing. 🥂
