30/07/2025: I ate a seafood fantasy, half-moons stuffed with sea bass, on a cream of shrimp and a crispy fried and above all gluten-free, something very rare in all restaurants, everything impeccable.

21/08/2025: Long wait from ordering to the dishes arriving.
The raw fish dish was very disappointing; the oyster and scampi were flavorless, and the scampi were not peeled.
€35 for a very meager dish.
Good pizza.
Courteous staff.
The hand dryer in the bathroom doesn't work, and there was no paper towel.
High final bill.
Awful asking for a tip at the cashier while paying.
**Update after 3 days**
They invited me to respond on Facebook to find out what went wrong. I left a polite and constructive response. They decided, being clearly mistaken on many fronts, to first delete my comment, then block me to prevent the review I left on social media from being seen.
They only leave positive ones to attract those who haven't been there before. I hope this review on Google will help future customers make a wise choice about where to go.

Good morning, I'm not being mean in any way.
I expressed a polite, respectful, and constructive opinion on Facebook after visiting your restaurant.
You're incapable of accepting a less-than-positive review, but that's your problem, not mine.
I definitely wasn't just talking about the price; I specifically said that the quality wasn't bad, while the presentation of the food was, unfortunately, poorly done.
I also spoke well of the dining room staff,
for they were kind, unlike you, who writes insults and puts words in my mouth that I've never said, since I haven't called anyone a scammer or a thief.
You're talking about pockets, mine in this case... but I'll tell you, without offense, that I chose your restaurant to take my child to a less formal place, therefore a bit "lowbrow," as they say.
She shot herself in the foot by thinking she was being clever by deleting a comment—I repeat, polite and constructive—without offending anyone, as she did.
I also honestly think her attitude is truly detrimental to her team.

We enjoyed a menu featuring fresh seafood, impeccably cooked and with truly refined pairings. Each course was meticulously crafted, from the flavors to the presentation. The staff was exceptionally kind and attentive, always available without ever being intrusive. Highly recommended for those seeking quality, courtesy, and a unique atmosphere. 🔝

Open from morning, it offers excellent breakfasts to be enjoyed leisurely while admiring the sea view. At lunchtime, it offers fresh, light dishes, ideal for a seaside break, while in the evening it becomes the perfect place for a truly excellent seafood dinner: the freshest ingredients, carefully prepared recipes, and authentic flavors that recall the traditions of Elba Island.
There's also a pizzeria, with well-made dough and tasty toppings, an excellent alternative or complement to the seafood menu. Prices are fair and commensurate with the quality and location.
A welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and a view that alone is worth the visit: a place to experience from breakfast to aperitif, all the way to a romantic sunset dinner. 🌅🍕🐟

05/09/2025: Visited in August, excellent dinner and excellent wine too, I take away a star for a lapse in style on the dessert because since almost all the desserts were finished (even though they had been listed by the excellent waiter), I was offered an affogato ice cream (2 scoops 2) which however I was charged for as they did (8 euros!!!).
16/08/2025: We decided to go to this restaurant because it was the only one in the area with vegetarian/vegan dishes (my review is based solely on these).
We had two vegetarian appetizers and two main courses. The appetizers (€16 each) were good and plentiful. I can't say the same for the main courses. Unfortunately, the seitan with peppers (€16) was a real disappointment; it tasted like the packaged kind from the supermarket, and the grilled tofu with vegetables (€16) wasn't any better either.
A real shame.

Ristorante Hotel Cernia Isola Botanica

12/07/2025: A beautiful hotel in a unique botanical garden, just steps from the sea in Sant'Andrea on the island of Elba. The breakfast is truly excellent, the rooms are very comfortable, and the service is warm and friendly. On Wednesday mornings, there's a delightful yoga class offered, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.
22/06/2025: Excellent location to visit the other villages and it is 200 meters from the sea, excellent breakfast, well-kept and cared for place, we were welcomed by the owner even if it was late at night, if you like tranquility and greenery the Cernia hotel is the right place. Thanks to all the staff, see you soon. You can also bring your 4-legged friends. Covered parking

06/07/2025: Questo posto è ideale per una cena di coppia, la location è molto particolare nella piazzetta di Poggio... Tavolini un po' stretti ma il cibo ottimo e la simpatia del padrone di casa compensano!
Il menù offre buone scelte e ho trovato un tipo di cucina sana e leggera con ricette dei tempi passati.

Last night we were literally attacked by a customer who was a friend of the waitress and certainly a member of the restaurant. The "Gentleman," a half-hippy alcoholic with a pitbull, started insulting and cursing us. We had just ordered, beers and the girl's juice had just been served, and the bruschetta was still in the kitchen...
We had to run away because the tone was so loud and I was afraid he would set his dog on ours...
The waitress defended him, asking us to pay and not come back...
I should have called the police, but I was too panicked, so I paid.

23/08/2025: We sought shelter from a storm while we were on the beach, and were rudely told we couldn't sit down because we were only having ice cream/coffee, and we were even accused of obscuring the ice cream display case.
I didn't know it was a crime.
Long live hospitality.
22/08/2025: The location, overlooking the sea, is enchanting. The service is simple and family-friendly. The dishes we enjoyed were truly exquisite, including the sesame-crusted tuna of exquisite flavor. It's a shame that my dinner was disturbed by a family of foreigners who had arrived before us, and many others who weren't served their food.
I took the liberty of mentioning my inconvenience to the waitress, who replied that I shouldn't have been doing their job.
Granted, you never respond to a customer like that, I found this attitude highly unprofessional. (If there had been a delay in the kitchen, which is understandable given the time of year, they could have shortened the wait with a few pizza or focaccia specials, which has happened to me several times.)
We paid the right amount, and despite what happened, I recommend it.

20/08/2025: OGLIERA RESTAURANT 😊 We didn't stay at the hotel, so this review is limited to the restaurant, where we dined twice as external guests. ATMOSPHERE: In summer, you dine on a lovely, airy terrace, cool thanks to the breeze that channels between Monte Capanne and the sea—definitely the coolest location we've found in the area. The view is partly of the sea and partly of the beautiful mountains beyond. The overall atmosphere is relaxing and pleasant. SERVICE: We have no complaints and haven't encountered any of the poor service or inconveniences mentioned in other reviews. The staff we interacted with were friendly, punctual, and professional. A special mention goes to the wine; the markup is the most honest we've found in the area, which is nice; we always order the same bottles from Elba, and the difference between one place and another is sometimes notable. In some cases, the markup is unjustifiable and doesn't look good. They're definitely honest here. CUISINE: Traditional Elban dishes, delicious, each with its own distinct character, and satisfying portions. Among the dishes we sampled, we highlight the signature dish, "Spaghetti all'Ogliera" (Spaghetti with Ogliera Sauce), tasty and flavorful, it has a well-deserved reputation and is a must-try if you like full-bodied flavors; "Spaghetti with Sea Urchin Eggs" (Spaghetti with Sea Urchin Eggs), all the flavor of the sea but well-balanced; "Gnocchi alla Margherita" (Gnocchi with Spider Crab and vegetables), a delicate dish that perhaps needs a little more character. The "Calamari ripieni all'Elbana" (Stuffed Calamari Elba Style) is excellent and highly recommended; I won't deny that we came here specifically to eat them! 😁 The fresh house desserts are the usual tiramisu, crema catalana, panna cotta, etc., offered in basic versions and, given the slightly more refined overall appearance, seem like a somewhat neglected part of the menu. Prices are fair for the local cuisine on offer, in terms of quality and quantity. Reservations are recommended and if you want to eat stuffed calamari, make sure there are some available in advance.
16/08/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant recommended by a friend. The location was very pretty and beautifully lit.
We ordered both fish and meat dishes.
The service was very slow, and the fish dishes weren't fresh or tasty... in fact, we just tasted them and left them; the wait staff didn't even ask why.
We won't be back, and I don't recommend it. I'm sorry. 😣

01/07/2025: Dinner. Really nice location. Excellent quality dish, abundant and generous. Adequate service with sympathy. Highly recommended but not too much otherwise we won't find a place anymore :-)
