11/10/2024: Very great location! Der Garten ist sehr schön, da werden wir sechs Sterne geben, falls es gäbe! Great service, super friendly, the rooms are clean and well maintained, super friendly. Large wine list to choose from. Es gibt ein Tennisplatz sowie ein Tischtennis Tisch. The beach is close, small and fine. We were here in early October.
30/09/2024: Beautiful complex with a botanical garden and many beautiful corners to linger, sunbathe and relax. Great breakfast and indoor and outdoor seating with a fantastic view. Very committed and friendly employees. A place to feel good and come back.

Hotel in a splendid location, rich breakfast, but above all the sea view from above. Equipped beach 800 meters away with shuttle service on request. Thanks to the staff for our stay

30/11/2024: If you are on holiday on the island of Elba, you absolutely must come here to eat for lunch/dinner because it offers a beautiful view of both the sea in the distance and Monte Capanne. The food is of great quality and is very good. The staff is friendly and you can easily chat with us. I absolutely recommend!

06/09/2024: Super nice, if somewhat hidden, evening bar. There is a small but really fine selection of Italian specialties (both cold starters and warm main courses). The vegetarian starter platter was really brilliant and beautifully presented. There are also burgers, which we also gave a chance - they were good, but not outstanding. You have to ask yourself whether you really have to order burgers in Italy.
Prices are very fair and due to the remote location at the top of a small village you can usually get a place even without a reservation.

28/08/2024: Premise: we ate exclusively pizza. The place is very characteristic, with predominant wood and a pirate theme, including the staff, who are friendly and knowledgeable. The pizzas are really excellent, not particularly large but well seasoned and above all made with high quality dough. I drank a very good fruity craft beer. It is not a cheap place, but the price is appropriate for the location and the quality of the food offered. Absolutely recommended.
27/08/2024: Trained and kind staff with particular emphasis on Cassandra.
Dishes prepared with care and with a clear choice of the best quality components.
We will definitely return next time.

30/10/2024: Nice place by the sea, we chose to have dinner here on the evening of August 2024.
The dishes were quite good, small portions (apart from the fried fish) and nothing special taking into account the price of the dishes.
We had booked in advance by reading the menu looking at the prices of the dishes, on the day of August at the table while browsing the menu we noticed that the prices of the dishes were higher than those we had seen in advance... it was not a nice surprise.
There was saffron on my plate (very good to my taste) but it wasn't listed on the menu and it dominated everything else a bit.
One thing in particular that I appreciated was the kindness of the waitress with short hair, super dynamic and easygoing... otherwise I wouldn't go back.
13/10/2024: The Google and Tripadvisor ratings leave me perplexed but they are probably either written by tourists who know little about food, by people who eat badly or that evening the restaurant was truly mediocre hoping to have to keep a low level of cuisine to make fun of the foreigners with whom the island is teeming in October. (Pretty bad behavior anyway)
Nice place, friendly staff, terrible food. Tasteless octopus salad, overcooked cuttlefish ink taglioni, all broken, and I mean all, immersed in a base of water on the plate (a broken and overcooked tagliolini in water broth), scialatielli with clams full of butter used for binding without salt in the cooking water (spaghetti are respected to make them creamy, you don't add butter which then forms a film around it and melts away immediately) Good wine, well recommended. Average price on the island and now in Italy. Those who complain about prices perhaps don't shop or leave home.
It remains that you should never make fun of anyone, especially those who give you a living just because in their culture they probably don't know some flavours,
When I take holidays out of season, especially in October, I would wait to find certain things. In any case, given the countless positive reviews, I continue to hope for a bad evening which can happen to anyone.

Die Pizzen sind frisch und extrem lecker! Alle! Die Karte ist klein aber fein. Die Ceccina war frisch und köstlich. Ebenso ist das Personal sehr jung und sehr freundlich.
Wir kommen gerne wieder.

06/08/2024: They warned me that the quality had dropped lately, but I wanted to get an idea for myself: I don't know what it was like before, but now it's really poor. 4 dishes across the menu, an anchovy starter that any rotisserie has better, a small, questionable and expensive slice of amberjack, a frozen wild boar stew that doesn't taste like wild boar in the slightest and certainly not cheap either . Friendly waiters, but that's not enough: avoid it!
05/08/2024: 3rd time I eat here in 3 years, it is still the best place I have ever eaten in Elba. A personal 10/10, except I haven't tried the desserts, as I don't eat sugar.

03/09/2024: Natürlich hat es uns nach Poggio verschlagen und natürlich mussten wir das Restaurant das dort abgebildet war besuchen. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Eine traumhafte Aussicht und sehr freundliches Personal. Die Trattoria war sehr gut besucht und wir haben den Eindruck gehabt, dass Touristen aber auch viele verschiedene Insulaner die Location gerne besuchen.
Ein Highlight war zu Beginn, dass unserer. Vegetariern die für sie geeigneten Gerichte erklärt wurden. Ebenfalls ist die Karte sehr ansprechend und nicht abgehoben.
Viele verschiedene ligurische/ traditionelle Gerichte.
Und alles frisch zubereitet. Sehr lecker war die Pasta aber auch das Pesto oder das Wildschwein. Und der Eintopf grandios gewürzt.
Klare Empfehlung! Und danke für ein schönes Mittagessen.
P.S. Die Toilette ist sehr nostalgisch und sauber.

27/08/2024: Excellent restaurant... very welcoming, stratospheric sea view. Excellent food, I recommend the chocolate cake, the gnocchi with black octopus ragout and the mussels Marinara... all very good.

27/08/2024: Pessima esperienza in questo ristorante. Arriviamo alle 20:45 ci fanno accomodare, prendiamo un’acqua e mezzo litro di vino bianco frizzante di bassa qualità della casa (costo elevato 10 euro 1/2 litro) e chiediamo un antipasto misto (un assaggio di ogni antipasto presente nel menù) che ci arriva dopo una mezz’ora e due secondi piatti . Sembrava quasi che mettessero le mani avanti dicendoci che erano in pochi quella sera e che i tempi sarebbero stati lunghi. Comunque arriva l’antipasto ed è composto da una decina di cozze in bianco , 3 pezzetti di salmone marinato, una tartare di tonno condita con un olio di bassa qualità , e 4 alici fritte (non posso indicare il prezzo di questo piatto perché il menù non prevede un antipasto misto). Ci arriva la seconda portata alle 22:00, dopo 50 minuti circa dall’antipasto. Fritto misto e un ‘polpo croccante’ che si è rivelato anche quest’ultimo fritto (non era indicato). Il fritto troppo cotto in un olio tra l’altro non buono. Arriva il momento del conto, ci dirigiamo alla cassa per pagare e ci viene chiesto se è andato tutto bene..gli facciamo presente che non è andata bene: l’attesa delle portate e soprattutto l’olio con cui era condita la tartare. Avremmo anche continuato ma la signora alla cassa si è posta in modo molto aggressivo e di conseguenza anche lo chef che è intervenuto sulla questione olio dicendo “non spariamo ca**ate questo è olio italiano ecc..” (come se l’olio italiano fosse indissolubilmente indice di qualità).
Alla fine siamo stati allontanati brutalmente senza possibilità di un compromesso e senza farci pagare nonostante avessimo il bancomat in mano e urlandoci dietro cose disprezzanti del tipo “ma da dove venite” mentre stavamo uscendo. Il conto si sarebbe aggirato intorno ai 90 euro per tre portate un’acqua e mezzo litro di vino senza contare il tavolo apparecchiato con una tovaglia in carta. In conclusione servizio, cibo e preparazioni scadenti, prezzi assurdi.

30/07/2024: Dopo un anno abbiano trovato purtroppo prezzi aumentati e porzioni diminuite......sempre buono ma un passo e mezzo indietro, un primo nn può costare 18€ dai.... allora un ristorante fatto a forma di ristorante quanto ti dovrebbe chiedere. Mi dispiace tanto tanto. Purtroppo è la mentalità italiana di guadagnare lo stesso a scapito della fidelizzazione.... peccato
