28/02/2026: The food is delicious, and the portions aren't "budget." We were there for lunch, so take what they give you (either this dish or that).
The service isn't lacking, but the waitress is incredibly tactless (when I said we'd come back, she said it was better not to). She speaks quietly and, when asked to repeat, replies that I've already said it. I don't demand special attention, and sometimes people don't hear me, which can be stressful. This attitude wasn't just toward us, but toward absolutely all customers. But I go to a restaurant not to chat with the staff, but to eat well, and that was fulfilled. The atmosphere and service were ruined by one person. The chef gets all 5 stars.
23/02/2026: A restaurant near the Castagneto Carducci-Donoratico train station... simple but well-decorated, with excellent pizzas.

Pizza tastes like nothing. 4 Formaggio tastes like nothing! A big lump of cheese, nothing more.
Absolutely not recommended. Worst pizza in Italy so far!!!!

26/07/2025: Da 15 anni più volte ogni stagione estiva. Il posto è grande e si riesce sempre a prenotare, la cucina è varia, il cibo è buono ed adatto a tutte le età. Il servizio è ottimo e veloce, il personale disponibile e sorridente. Mara, la nostra preferita, ci consiglia sempre alla perfezione! Per me, la mia famiglia, i nostri amici, anno dopo anno il Cavallino è un must, e ci sentiamo a casa!

01/05/2025: Purtroppo, anche se il personale sia stato gentile, non si sono comportati in modo professionale, molti clienti che sono arrivati dopo di noi hanno ordinato prima di noi.
Solo dopo mezz’ora da quando siamo arrivati abbiamo potuto ordinare. Eravamo in familia con due bambini piccoli molto affamati, ma dopo 1 ora e 45 mint. che non abbiamo avuto neanche un antipasto, abbiamo deciso di andare via. Purtroppo avevo già pagato prima, dovevamo andarcene molto prima. Spero solo in un rimborso.

19/04/2025: Un locale sicuramente molto raffinato negli arredi ed estremamente accogliente e ospitale. Detto questo, e con un pizzico di dispiacere per la gentilezza della proprietaria e del personale, devo dire che a mio avviso si tratta di un ristorante (e non di un’osteria) estremamente sopravvalutato, il quale sia per la qualita’ che per la ricercatezza delle pietanze (piuttosto banali nella sostanza e nella particolarita’ delle ricette), non giustifica i prezzi da ristorante stellato.
30/03/2025: Locale carinissimo stile retrò. Cibo squisito. Abbiamo preso spaghetti alle arselle,acciughe marinate, baccalà con cipolle rosse. La signora gentilissima e molto competente. Ci ha convinto a mangiare come dolce un formaggio con cioccolato e amarene semplicemente delizioso e molto particolare. Da provare assolutamente.
