18/03/2024: I had been missing from this hotel for some time but I must say that I found it to be extremely improved, actually once I asked for information I learned that new management had taken over. I highly recommend it for a number of reasons, first and foremost the quality/price which is undoubtedly the best in the area. What I liked most, in addition to the location surrounded by greenery but a few km from the sea, is how the rooms are kept, despite being a 3 star it offers 4 star services. Excellent cleanliness, spacious rooms, highly efficient heating, a well-stocked mini bar. Perfect swimming pool with a robot active even in the month of March (therefore in the low season) and it is a pleasure to look at it (our room on the 1st floor overlooked the swimming pool, very romantic! The care of the host was also pleasant, we arrived for breakfast late but they looked after us very well, my partner asked for scrambled eggs which were served instantly. Furthermore, we promised ourselves to try the restaurant which has a tempting menu! Last pleasant note is the fact that the owners (Ricci family) has a farm of the same name in Fonteblanda and in addition to wine they also produce very good oil which we did not miss out on. We will be back very soon.

16/04/2024: Talamone out of season I should talk about the excellent lunches at reasonable prices at TRATTORIA LUNA MORENA in Fonteblanda. In September we had the opportunity to spend 4 days in Tuscany. I should have described the pleasant stay in the Talamone area (Grosseto) precisely in Fonteblanda. Instead I find myself telling you the story of a tourist who was passing along the S.S.1 Aurelia at Km 174.665 and was caught by a speed camera which, for convenience, had been placed in front of the Pizzeria Bar Ristorante Renieri, I presume beyond the fence and the guardrail, with the complicity of Street View it was easy to identify the exact point. An absolutely legal infringement, we were going at 90km/h on a stretch of road where you go from 90 to 70km/h for around 500m. Fine which was duly paid the day following the notification (€136.10), a declaration from the driver at the time of the infringement was also required for the reduction of license points. Naturally I followed the procedure and due to a probable portal error I did not receive notifications. After a month I received another report accusing me of the driver's failure to communicate, I immediately contacted the office in charge with emails and phone calls, bringing clear evidence of my actions and my correctness, highlighting my good faith. But despite the many emails and phone calls, the response was a classic: It's not up to us, we're sorry but it's the system's fault. In essence, I advise you against the Grosseto area, if you can avoid an administration that is obviously in need of money.
