10/06/2025: DO NOT MISS HER SPECTACULAR SEAFOOD. We stumbled upon this restaurant completely by accident after spending a few hours at Valdichiana village outlet mall. It is a very small casual restaurant with only two employees, the server and front end person and the fantastic cook in the back. I am the first person to admit to having a little less patience than I should and when we arrived four other groups had come in before us. I did not really understand why the front end person was ignoring us and slowly dealing with the other groups that preceded us. It seemed that he could have taken our order on multiple occasions but took his time and cleaned other tables and did other things while we waited for any semblance of service. However I was completely unaware that there were just two of them, and had he taken our order sooner it would have just sat in the back while the fantastic female chef cooked other people's meals one at a time. I will say that getting drinks to us sooner would have created a better impression and I think it could have been accommodated. There were no menus only a poster on the wall showing the dozen or so items at very modest prices. My wife and I both had the baked fish and we ordered one side of fried vegetables. One of the interesting things on the menu that we unfortunately skipped was an octopus sandwich. A young man sitting adjacent to us ordered it and later told us it was tender and spectacular. We will not miss it on our next visit which will be soon. The final ironic twist for my review is that my wife and I were eating at a Michelin restaurant two days later and started up a conversation with the elegant woman beside us. The conversation turned to the best places to eat in the area and we were in Sarteano about a half an hour away. I asked her if she ever went to Valdichiana Village and she dismissed me which I assume meant that she did not typically buy her clothes at an outlet mall. But just moments later she said "there is the best seafood restaurant near there", describing this place in great detail.

15/06/2025: Came at 9pm on a Sunday and they were very accommodating and welcomed us in. Wine amazing and the pasta was delicious - heavy on the salt which was needed after the 36oC heat! Staff were lovely, clearly a family run business with great linguistic coverage for English, French and obviously Italian.

14/06/2025: Unfortunately the menu is also written for those who have poor vision like me...so I had an appetizer, first course and second course!!!! A SHOW

16/05/2025: Great stop on our drive to Siena, easy and quick lunch, especially when we couldn’t find many options that were open! Octopus was cooked perfectly and pasta was tasty. Parking lot available in front of restaurant

06/06/2025: I always eat at La Piadineria di Val di Chiana at the outlet and I have to say that this time, on June 6, 2025 at 3:20 pm, we stopped again and after having taken a Solare and a Tonno, we were really satisfied with the quality, kindness and speed of the staff. A truly excellent piadina to the point of returning and complimenting it. I lived in Romagna for 10 years and to say that this was on par is almost there. I live in Siena and some time ago it also opened here on Strada Massetana but strangely it was not as good as this one in Val di Chiana. The girl/lady who served us was courteous and very nice and compliments to the new boy who prepared the piadinas. Thank you

06/06/2025: 🇭🇺Yesterday (2025.06.05.) I was there with the red truck to unload. They are very kind, they unloaded the goods quickly. The space is a bit tight, but they help with everything! Listen to me. Fellow drivers! They really do take a break from 13-15, arrive so that you don't have to wait on the street for hours!

10/05/2025: Great little cheese shop, with a wide variety of pecorinos! The shop owner let us try a few options before selecting, the sage pecorino was very tasty. They also have honey, jams and wine for sale too, all at reasonable prices!
