30/06/2026: On our first evening in Pantelleria, we went to dinner at Ristorante Dammuso and were so delighted with their cuisine that we returned the next day. I highly recommend trying the roasted octopus, stuffed squid, and swordfish rolls. The fried fish is a little less special, but all the dishes are delicious, using fresh fish. The restaurant is small and not particularly inviting. I recommend booking and asking for a table on the terrace, which offers views of the sea and Pantelleria's port.

Pino and his wife Marianna, along with all the dedicated and professional staff, welcomed us to their restaurant, a bright and tastefully decorated space. The terrace overlooking the view is stunning. Delicious appetizers, flavorful traditional Pantellerian first courses, and the stuffed calamari are also excellent. In the evening, you can also enjoy Pino's long-leavened pizza: a true experience, incredibly digestible and delicious!

On both occasions, I was enchanted by the island's typical dishes, cooked with skill and passion. I should mention that we paired our meals with an interesting, unfiltered, organic Pantellerian wine with an intriguing orange hue.

The food is excellent and the prices are incredibly affordable, an absolute rarity these days. Special mention goes to the staff, who were incredibly kind and super quick to serve us. But the best thing is that you can see their main goal is to make their guests feel good: here, you can stay as long as you want to enjoy the atmosphere, without the worry of being kicked out to free up a table and make more numbers. They don't exploit people in the slightest. If you're looking for a place where you can eat great, spend a fair amount, and experience total peace on the shores of Lake Specchio di Venere, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended!
