03/09/2025: Excellent cuisine... the fish was really well cooked and delicious, as were the side dishes. Excellent service from the restaurant owner, who was truly skilled at entertaining guests. And what can I say about the dessert, "Pantelleria seen from above"? Aside from the deliciousness of the dish, the plating was beautiful. It was a significant expense, but it was worth it.

It's an experience you must try. The best restaurant on the island with an unexpected quality-price ratio, in a positive sense.

23/09/2025: My one star isn't based on my experience at the restaurant, but rather on a question about the opening hours rather than a review. I read on the website that it's open until 10:00 PM. I arrived with my wife at 7:50 PM, and the girl kindly told me the kitchen was open until 9:00 PM (??). I apologized, went out, and looking at the clock, I saw it was 10 minutes to 8:00 PM. I didn't go back to avoid a clarification in the presence of customers. I'm leaving it here just so you can understand why. Thanks.

The idea of ​​offering tastings as an aperitif is interesting, and the idea of ​​offering a tour to see where the various agricultural products are grown is also a great one. Professional staff. Not accessible to everyone due to steps, etc. Their products can be shipped throughout Italy at affordable prices, and they have a small shop where you can purchase them on-site.

19/09/2025: It's probably the cheapest restaurant on the island. The quality of the food is in line with the price, I'd say. Make a reservation because it's always busy, but don't expect anything special.

12/09/2025: Excellent quality food and more than reasonable prices for Pantelleria. The pasta with red shrimp was very filling and addictive, and I say this as a Sicilian who eats it regularly. My advice is to make a reservation to secure a seat. The staff and service were excellent, and the wait times were short. If you're going on holiday, even for a few days, it's a must-see.

27/09/2025: The restaurant looks good inside, and the terrace (reservations required) probably had a better view. As for the dishes, we were disappointed with the couscous; it tasted only of vegetables, and my baked fish, unfortunately, lacked flavor. The staff was very kind and attentive.

23/09/2025: We let the owner convince us and immediately ordered two fish couscous (the vegetables cooked separately were good, and the fish, chopped into very small pieces, was actually quite small). The chili pepper sauce was delicious. Followed by Pantelleria-style swordfish rolls, baked breaded swordfish. A bit bland... For dessert, a cannolo and a Pantelleria-style bacio. Finished beautifully with an excellent Ben Ryé passito. With a good local Zibibbo, €112 for two. The local wine list is small but decent. Unfortunately, many of the fish dishes were frozen, as is often the case here on the island...

31/08/2025: The restaurant, adjacent to the stunning Lake Venus in Pantelleria, is very charming. Service is fast and helpful. The sandwiches, created in the style of traditional local cuisine, are very good. Recommended.

28/08/2025: A disastrous experience from start to finish. Arriving at the restaurant full of anticipation, we found ourselves enduring an interminable hour and a half wait, completely ignored by the staff. The funny thing is, while we were standing there looking at the tables, customers who arrived much later were served immediately: a total disrespect. The staff, besides being arrogant and rude, seemed completely disinterested in the customers. No smiles, no attention, no apologies: just haughty attitudes and annoyed looks, as if we were the ones causing the inconvenience. The restaurant itself is a makeshift shack, furnished in a haphazard manner, with a zero level of hygiene: rickety chairs, sticky tables, and a general air of neglect. The menu offerings are ridiculous: a few sandwiches and salads, nothing more. Even the Pantesca salad, which should be a simple but tasty dish, was served incomplete, missing basic ingredients like onion. It all gives the impression of a place run without any professionalism, where the customer is completely ignored and where complete superficiality reigns. A restaurant that seems to survive solely thanks to the unsuspecting tourists who stumble upon it. If you're looking for a pleasant experience, quality food, or even a modicum of attention, stay away: this place is the perfect example of how NOT to run a restaurant. A true disappointment in every way.

07/08/2025: We stayed at Gabbiano Azzurro and had a truly wonderful time. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, making us feel right at home. We started with the house appetizer, rich and tasty, followed by the busiate pasta with grouper, which was spectacular. For our main course, we had sea bream, incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. To top it off, we had the "bacio pantesco": one of the best desserts we've had on the island, made just right. Fast service, excellent food, and more than fair prices for such a seafood dinner. If we return to Pantelleria, a stop here will be a must.

19/07/2025: Best restaurant I've tried on the island, far superior to the more famous ones. Simple atmosphere, no frills, just friendly service and good food at Sicilian prices: truly unique on Pantelleria!
