16/10/2025: I don't know if the chef was missing, if the sea was rough, if they were having a bad day, or if this is just their way of doing things, but I had a terrible experience! The fish was bad, poorly presented, and not fresh. The awful appetizer (see photo) was the same as the soup they call "scomposta" (scomposta), which consists of the same fish as the appetizer, over which they pour a hot broth that seems to be made with stock cubes (nothing like the taste and preparation of a real fish soup, good and flavorful, inviting you to mop up the sauce)! The "catch" of the day (passed off by the waiter as a grouper fillet) was actually a flavorless cube of cod: nothing even close to a grouper! The exorbitant price added to the ruined evening. NEVER AGAIN I'm adding these brief notes after the restaurant's response, a response that is not only routine, but—and this is worse—doesn't dispute the facts I've stated, first and foremost, the fact that they passed off a cube of cod (frozen) as the freshly caught grouper fillet described to me by the waiter and paid for as such! This is a very serious matter and in itself describes how customers are treated in this restaurant. Not to mention the soup... which is the appetizer with broth added. NEVER AGAIN

23/09/2025: My one star isn't based on my experience at the restaurant, but rather on a question about the opening hours rather than a review. I read on the website that it's open until 10:00 PM. I arrived with my wife at 7:50 PM, and the girl kindly told me the kitchen was open until 9:00 PM (??). I apologized, went out, and looking at the clock, I saw it was 10 minutes to 8:00 PM. I didn't go back to avoid a clarification in the presence of customers. I'm leaving it here just so you can understand why. Thanks.

26/09/2025: A casual restaurant open all hours of the day. Quiet atmosphere, very friendly staff, excellent for both breakfast and lunch/dinner. Highly recommended. Excellent burgers. The Pantesca beer is delicious.

04/10/2025: Recommended by friends, I found myself having lunch at this quaint little restaurant in Khamma, Pantelleria... I tasted typical local dishes, which I found delicious, and what can I say about the hospitality I received from the owners... fantastic... a must try. Oh, I forgot... my celiac friend found a wide selection of dishes that she said were delicious... TRY IT AND SEE IT!

The idea of ​​offering tastings as an aperitif is interesting, and the idea of ​​offering a tour to see where the various agricultural products are grown is also a great one. Professional staff. Not accessible to everyone due to steps, etc. Their products can be shipped throughout Italy at affordable prices, and they have a small shop where you can purchase them on-site.

22/10/2025: We dined at this restaurant several times during our stay in Pantelleria. The food is truly excellent, well-cooked, and the portions are generous. The prices are certainly competitive for the quality of the products served. The service could be improved, but overall, it's highly recommended.

18/10/2025: Good and affordable sandwich shop and takeout. Service is perhaps a little slow, but that's due to the high attendance. The little place near the waterfront is very small, with just a few tables and stools for quick meals. Blackboards list the various types of delicious sandwiches and their daily preparations. The freshly fried arancini are delicious. I enjoyed the Pantelleria-style fish couscous with fried vegetables (takeout upon order), which was well-seasoned and flavorful. The Pantelleria-style calamari filling, however, could be improved. I wrote this ☝️ before, now: This Strit fud was a novelty on the island right from the start, a popular spot for those in a hurry who wanted to grab something traditional on the spot. Today, with the restaurant attached, it has become a go-to place for locals and tourists, offering good products and affordable dishes. If you're looking to sit down for a meal in addition to the takeaway sandwiches, piadinas, and arancini, reservations are recommended because, "luckily for them," it's always packed. The spaghetti with ink or calamari ragù is excellent. Well done, and kudos to the staff. Updated AUG 2024 - On more than one occasion, I've noticed that the chef is heavy-handed with the salt, especially in the main courses. If you point this out to Loredana (the owner), SHE is always right, not the customer, and she'll say, "Oh, no, it's a bit tasty." And, despite leaving the plates full, you still pay and don't smile. I prefer the "tasty" first courses.

05/10/2025: A charming place... informal and welcoming... the owner shows us the dish of the day not on the menu... baked aubergines accompanied by Ragusano cheese... delicious!... tranquility... good background music... friendly, polite and helpful staff... a truly pleasant lunch break... I recommend everyone to try this beautiful farm 🥰

07/08/2025: We stayed at Gabbiano Azzurro and had a truly wonderful time. The staff was incredibly welcoming and kind, making us feel right at home. We started with the house appetizer, rich and tasty, followed by the busiate pasta with grouper, which was spectacular. For our main course, we had sea bream, incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. To top it off, we had the "bacio pantesco": one of the best desserts we've had on the island, made just right. Fast service, excellent food, and more than fair prices for such a seafood dinner. If we return to Pantelleria, a stop here will be a must.
