17/03/2024: We stopped here by accident - in a restaurant that was open at the beginning of the season. The food turned out to be great - fresh fish and seafood, perfectly prepared, served quickly. The service was very nice and helpful. Apparently from here there is a perfect view of the sun setting over the sea - we arrived when it was already dark, but still - a great experience!

30/10/2023: Excellent venue. Previous reviews may not have taken the menu into consideration. Here I put the photos, to get an idea of ​​how much you will spend. We arrived at 2pm, and they welcomed us anyway, even though it was close to closing time, and they found us a space. The chef was honest, telling us about what he had at home and what he didn't have. But the one who cooked it in a truly excellent way. Balanced menu, portions not exaggerated and tasty. In the end, bitter and zibibbo offered by the house. Of course, we paid €40 each, and perhaps some will say that it is too much, but the photos of the menu speak for themselves, and one can decide how much to spend. Selfie of our gang together with the cook Nino, the one at the back, standing, who came to greet us and was running away to get some rest before starting the evening shift at 6.00 pm.

01/04/2024: A little cafe in Erice offering delicious large orange juice, a range of sweet pastries and great hot chocolate. All the staff were so nice and joyful!

13/03/2024: The only restaurant in Erice that offers some gluten free options! Two sweets and traditional Arancini either with mozzarella and spinach or meat. All of it was great and a forthcoming and very friendly staff!

23/12/2023: Exceptional attention in a magnificent environment that transports you to Ericino's past. We had dinner with an explosion of Sicilian flavours. Couscous among the best in the province, not to mention the Grouper Ravioli, highly recommended! Thanks Maurizio!

18/10/2023: Io posso capire proporre qualità discutibile o prezzi "turistici" ma la combinazione delle due cose è davvero spiacevole. Il locale si pubblicizza come ristorante "bistrot" e propone un menù decisamente caro in un contesto carino all'ingresso di Erice. Siamo disposti a spendere un po' di più in vacanza quindi decidiamo di andare. Arrivati sul posto però ci accorgiamo presto di essere nella mensa della struttura che lo ospita ovvero l'hotel Il Carmine. Il resto del servizio è una triste farsa: polpo fritto surgelato (arrivato letteralmente 2 minuti dopo l'ordinazione) su purea di patate fredda, caponata che sa solo di olive e ospita una certa quantità di noccioli sminuzzati all'interno (occhio ai denti). La pasta la assaggiamo e rimane tutta li perché di pesce surgelato e olive di scatola ne abbiamo assaggiate abbastanza. Meriterebbero menzione a parte il servizio di piatti sbeccato e la generale atmosfera fredda e tesa del locale. Paghiamo i 75 euro comprensivi di vino (18 euro per un buon bianco di Erice unica cosa decente) e ce ne andiamo amareggiati e affamati per non disturbare gli altri due tavoli rimasti. Più su in paese ci sono degli ottimi take away che ci risolvono la serata con delle fantastiche arancine. Evitate il nostro errore e andate direttamente in cerca di quelle.
