06/04/2026: We had a reservation for lunch and had no expectations. This one was probably the loveliest meal we had in Florence during ihr stay. The service was great, the wine was tasty, the tiramisu was the best we had during our trip. I would wholeheartedly recommend trattoria Giovanni!

Since there are unfortunately mostly beach bars and almost no restaurants in Marinella, we chose this restaurant, partly because of its 4.6 rating.
However, we can't understand the rating! The ambiance seemed cold, there was a strange vibe, and the service was very odd.
When we got our pasta, we were initially disappointed by the small quantities. 5 ravioli for €15? That was a joke 😂 The "pasta alla norma" wasn't the original, but just pasta with eggplant (+ potatoes??). The original cheese was missing.
Unfortunately, none of us were satisfied with the taste. Therefore, we don't recommend it...

13/04/2026: Good, but the sushi this time was too salty, it arrived dripping with soy sauce—absurd. Then we ordered cones, and they only arrived once; some dishes didn't arrive at all. It was too crowded, people all crowded together, it was hard to breathe.
10/04/2026: I had dinner here with friends and the food selection was excellent, with a wide variety of Japanese drinks. We'll definitely be back!

Good ambiance, but the pergola is located on a street
We got the last two tables without a reservation
The fresh fish (5 portions) and the cannelli were incredibly fresh and amazing
Limoncello or Amaro to finish

All for €35
More than fair
A dream come true for us

02/03/2026: Sunday lunch at an agriturismo in an exceptional location in the Sicilian countryside, among olive and orange trees, prepared with great taste and attention. The main courses are generous, and the Sicilian appetizers are excellent and varied.

30/03/2026: There's really not much to say: one of the best pizzerias in the area. The pizza is delicious and so inviting that you'll want to try them all. Light and easily digestible, without compromising on flavor.
And it doesn't end there: the desserts are also truly worth it, with a wide and varied selection unlike anything you've seen before. A comprehensive menu that satisfies every palate.
Kudos to the entire staff: the quality is evident in every detail.

29/03/2026: We're truly sorry to write this, especially as regular customers, but after what happened this morning (March 29th), we felt the need to leave at least this review.
We bought three croissants and an apple plait: the pistachio ones were okay, but the cream croissant was a terrible experience. After the first bite, we were forced to abandon it: the cream was inedible, not so much acidic as poorly made, with a bitter and unpleasant flavor. Honestly, we don't understand how this was possible. It's clear that something was wrong. A real shame.

12/09/2025: Exceptional café/pastry shop. Wide selection of desserts, ice cream, hot snacks, sandwiches, schiacciate, etc., all excellent quality. Polite and friendly staff. Impeccable service both at the counter and at your table. Modern and spacious, clean and tidy, with several tables inside and outside. Prices are reasonable.

typical local products.
05/10/2025: A bakery that still makes bread according to the traditional recipe. The owner is what you might call a son of a baker. I remember when, many years ago, I would go to buy bread from his parents, strictly black, hand-kneaded and baked in a preheated wood-fired oven, and he, as a little boy, would play around.
The black bread is excellent, as are the pizza and biscuits of the most classic Castelvetrano tradition.
A taste is highly recommended.

01/10/2025: After Nani, I was lucky enough to eat arancini again... calzones and cake bought there for my dad's birthday a few weeks ago... excellent ingredients also because the taste is quite perceptible... I renew my compliments to this pastry shop and to Rittomil. The staff, as always, were kind... thanks again for making that evening not only fun but also tasty thanks to the products... thanks again

01/04/2026: It's very close to the Selinunte Archaeological Park; you can walk there. The staff is very friendly and polite. They gave us great recommendations, like visiting Mazala del Vallo. Good breakfast and close to the sea. Selinunte is spectacular.

21/02/2026: The rooms were very dirty, especially the damp ceiling. The showers were awful, and the fridge was full of candy wrappers (very dirty on the outside, but I don't know what the inside was like because I didn't open it).

We had a super good tabisca.
Plenty of parking. Super reasonable price.
All without too much of a wait.
Beautiful, good, affordable, fast, and honest. Not like some trattorias that force customers to order a tourist menu for the whole table, like a "solo trattoria" in Marinella does. (A scam.)
