L'atmosfera conviviale, la passione , la ricerca degli ottimi ingredienti locali fanno di questo ristorante uno degli ultimi avamposti di cultura del cibo . La location è inoltre degna di nota poiché Il piano inferiore del locale è una grotta . Prezzo adeguato alla qualità.

26/05/2024: A hidden gem on a narrow one-way street in Lentini, A Maidda serves up a wonderful dining experience that I'm fortunate to have stumbled upon. Beyond the front section and its tables are tunnels which Executive Chef Salvatore says was used by Greeks of antiquity to escape enemies when the city was under attack. Today, they keep wine safe from Sicily's summer heat; a no less important task. I went with a few friends and left the evening's selection to the Salvatore. He presented a four course meal that began with an antipasto of seasonal vegetables: Pepperoni, caponata, zucchini, and artichoke hearts amongst others. A trio of pasta dishes followed as the primi: fusilli flavored with pesto, pistachio, and eggplant with mint. Sausages of wild pork drizzled with balsamic came out next as the secondi. Traditional Sicilian cannoli were dessert with a digestif homebrewed by the chef from a native plant that struck me as a cross between wild sage and mint. It was sweet, but strong. Imbibe responsibly. And naturally, espresso was served last because drinking coffee at 11pm is what Italians do. When in Rome I guess. It was a lovely meal and I intend to return soon to try the chef's speciality, linguine with blood orange and tuna.

30/05/2024: Perfect score, was recommended by the B&B owner and he was right. Best food I've had in Sicily, family owned and great quality.

29/05/2024: Great experience! Very helpful staff with excellent service. But above all I want to point out an exquisite fried fish paired with a Tarantina mussel soup. Everything very fresh. I will return often.

21/07/2024: Location overlooking the beautiful and renowned Piazza Umberto I in Lentini, has external plastic tables and chairs covered by an external structure. The service of the youthful staff is fast and courteous. Waiting times are "insignificant". The paper menu presents various fish and meat dishes as well as numerous pizzas and calzones (they use an electric oven), we ordered two fish-based first courses and 2 glasses of still white wine and a chocolate dessert!! Average quality/price ratio. I recommend this pizza restaurant for families and group events.

11/08/2024: My favourite meal from my trip to Tuscany. Atmosphere was amazing as was the food. I just wish I could have tried more dishes. Tried the saffron pasta and the steak. Both were top drawer. They also catered very well for my girlfriend that has gluten intolerance. Her meal was great too.
