27/12/2024: Traveling in splendid eastern Sicily we discover Scivu. Excellent welcome from Alessandra who made us feel like important guests. We have lunch on the veranda and listen to his precious advice on the dishes he then served us. An excellent bruschetta with cherry tomatoes with basil pesto and salted ricotta prepared our stomachs for some pappardelle with gorgonzola sausage and fennel with mouth-watering homemade pasta. Followed by overcooked cheek and tongue on puree with green flavored sauce, all washed down with an excellent local wine. A harmony of flavors. Bill without surprises, 25 euros each and coffee on the house. What can I say, there are places like this in my area......These guys are really good... to a great extent!!!!

24/12/2024: I chose our "sala nuova Zagara'" in Sicily for an important private event, I must say that the tasting itinerary was the top, from the good food, to the wine tasting, to finish the service between waiter and sommelier, all top for over 5 stars, also to finish I gave a surprise to my wife, but the chef surprised us with the explanation of the mysterious dish which in the end was my gift for her... Everything was magnificent, I recommend it.

23/07/2024: We went for a family dinner and were amazed by how tasty the pizza was. It was so much better than the ones that we have in our country. The place is cute and the staff goes out of their way to serve you well. It was a wonderful evening.

Hemos comido una margarita y una calzone de mortadela y pesto de pistacho espectacular.
Enormes para el precio y realmente sabrosas. El personal muy atento y amable.
Lo único que no nos gustó es que en la cuenta no está especificado que es que y hay 2 cargos de 2€ que no sabemos que fue. Tampoco preguntamos porque fue tan barato que no miramos el ticket al principio.

And be careful, when an expert like me, with years of experience and a refined palate, says this, it is not a statement made lightly. It is the result of years of study, dedication, travel far and wide in search of the perfect pizza. The pizza from Pizzeria Le Palme impressed me, and it's not easy to impress someone like me, who has tasted pizzas from the four corners of the world.
The dough, as a leavening expert that I am, I can say it bluntly: it is excellent. I can immediately recognize a well-worked dough from a mediocre one. And that of Pizzeria Le Palme was treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. The leavening is taken care of at levels that only those, like me, who have spent years studying this process can appreciate. And believe me, I know it well. As an expert.

07/09/2024: abbiamo affittato un bungalow per 2 notti nello specifico 16 e 17 agosto di cui il 17 avremmo fatto una cena con pizza invitando degli amici per il compleanno della mia ragazza. eravamo 17/18 persone.
e poi il giorno 18 agosto prima della partenza avremmo avuto la passeggiata a cavallo (sempre in coppia)
già tutto pagato (almeno le cose di coppia) con larghissimo anticipo.
allora il soggiorno é andato perfettamente , l’attenzione e la premura nei nostri confronti da parte dei proprietari dell’ agriturismo é stata fantastica. la pulizia della stanza ok , le colazioni buonissime pure.
la cena buona, personale di sala un po’ superficiale, non so se perché magari fossimo ragazzi o perché eravamo una tavolata grande , ma ci siamo sentiti un po’ tutti ( quindi scrivo anche in base al feedback degli altri commensali) non attenzionati a dovere.
la torta gelato l’hanno uscita e l’hanno messa in un angolo dove li nei pressi c’era un odore spiacevole forse qualche animale aveva lasciato lì vicino un ricordino. , i camerieri facevano su e giù li chiamavamo e non notavano che noi volevamo spostare la torta così l’abbiamo spostata noi e al momento del taglio che già si stava sciogliendo poi sono venuti per tagliarla e a quel punto abbiamo deciso di tagliarla noi.
alla fine tutto ok la torta anche sé mezza sciolta era buonissima, peccato perché comunque fino alle pizze era tutto apposto.
quel pomeriggio abbiamo anche avuto l’accesso alla piscina sia noi che tutti i commensali é stata una festa che assolutamente consiglio.
quella sera stessa mi é stato comunicato che non era più possibile fare la passeggiata a cavallo e mi si é venuti incontro tornandomi la caparra e invitandoci a ritornare un altro giorno per fare la passeggiata a cavallo.
che dire 4 stelle non é male , spero di tornare e di aggiungere quella stellina mancante !
ps. avrei voluto aggiungere qualche foto ma purtroppo trip advisor mi da errore!

13/10/2024: A fresh meal in a real agri setup. Must visit. The lunch consisted of a number of servings which all were good. However you cannot order your selection but have to stand to the menu being offered.
12/10/2024: We saw other guests have nice food servings. We chose the menu degustation - many courses and surprisingly cheap. But quality of the courses was not as good as expected - not delicious.
We will eat there again - but choose a la carte menu.
The Sicilian wine was fine.
