24/08/2025: We'd read great reviews, and instead...
The view of the cathedral was beautiful, yes. The granitas were passable, but they only had two flavors, which is unbelievable for a bar like that in August in the province of Messina.
The service was terrible. We were "served" by a listless and uninformed Neapolitan waiter. Then another waiter, also Neapolitan, who was kinder, tried to make up for the previous waiter's mistakes.
Suddenly, instead of feeling like we were on the Peloritani, we felt like we'd been catapulted to Ischia.
We probably won't be back.
18/08/2025: We dined at this restaurant overlooking the cathedral square in Castroreale. The food was tasty, authentic, and delicious, in the best Sicilian tradition. Diego, the owner, was truly attentive and friendly, as were his staff. The location was romantic and evocative, a natural film set. A journey back in time that I highly recommend to everyone!

17/08/2025: A truly beautiful, quaint place, with seafood featuring a wide array of flavors and truly excellent pairings. We'll definitely be returning. I recommend the appetizer menu, which has a truly extensive selection, and the first courses. I highly recommend driving up a mountain to get here. Congratulations!

10/08/2024: This place is huge, cozy, and clean, perfect for a celebration or romantic dinner. From the moment we tasted the appetizers, we knew we were in for a treat. Every bite, from the starters to the main course and even the dessert, was an absolute delight. The prices are reasonable considering the exceptional quality of the food. The service is excellent with attentive and friendly staff making sure your dining experience is perfect. I highly recommend this place, it's a must visit in the area. We'll absolutely be back and return often. ✨️
02/08/2024: Abbiamo cenato in occasione di un compleanno ed abbiamo avuto modo di provare il menù degustazione di carne..Che dire, ottimo!!
Il risotto, soprattutto, era una vera delizia..Personale cortese e gentile..Ottima esperienza.

15/04/2025: Even though it was after 2pm we found this shop open. Well we found a nice variety of biscuits, the lady very kindly let us try something and I took the opportunity to bring something to relatives and friends. Crumbly, fresh and tasty biscuits.
