22/05/2025: Terrible experience without words! My wife and I went convinced by the reviews that I now believe were paid because they do not reflect the terrible quality of both the dishes and the service.
I usually do not leave negative reviews but it was impossible not to leave one this time.
From the series do not open that door ... go further and save yourself both the cost and the stomach ache.
26/04/2025: Casalino is one of those places where you go with high expectations and still leave amazed by the quality of the dishes.
The raw material is excellent, the combination between local cuisine and Roman traditions is interesting. Among the appetizers, the parmigiana and the Roman tripe deserve a special mention, really excellent!
First and second courses are also delicious, in particular the tagliatelle with white ragù, the green lasagna and the braised cheek.
The service was kind, punctual and welcoming, starting from the owner who, with all his kindness, was able to guide us and advise us in the best possible way.
We recommend it and we will definitely be back!

26/03/2025: Very nice spot with local food. The atmosphere was great with a local community event happening.
16/03/2025: We have eaten at this place many times. Often the pizza is spectacular... but on this particular Sunday for us we wanted to try the Sunday fish menu. We start with a very tasty and well-plated appetizer, continuing with a first course of shrimp and pistachio trofie. The second course was very good with abundant and well-presented grilled fish. Side salad, wine, water, bitters and coffee.
I forgot they also offered us dessert and their lovely welcome and friendliness. We had a really good time! We will definitely come back to visit them.... I highly recommend it to everyone!

14/04/2025: It's a wonderfully misleading restaurant. On the outside it looks like there's not much. But it has an enormous second floor. Amazing atmosphere. Great service. Fantastic food.

Cameriere gentile e preparato, magari tutti i ristoranti fossero così!
01/10/2024: Una domenica tranquilla trasformata in un'esperienza culinaria strepitosa, quindi non cercate oltre se siete nei dintorni. Il menu è un capolavoro gastronomico semplice ma nel contempo vario che offre un'incredibile selezione di antipasti che soddisfano gusti e preferenze diverse. I primi e i secondi vi delizieranno il palato. L'atmosfera è familiare e invitante, il personale cordiale, discreto e attento alle vostre richieste rendendo il pasto un vero piacere. Ho pranzato al "Vecchio Carro" per la prima volta e non sono rimasto deluso tanto da consigliarlo davvero come una meta imperdibile per tutti gli amanti della cucina. Un ringraziamento alla proprietaria sig.ra Eliana che con grande simpatia si approccia ai tavoli per rendersi conto di persona che tutto sia stato di gradimento. Arrivederci alla prossima.
