14/09/2025: Today the lasagna wasn't good, usually I eat well, I'm sorry because I've been going there for a long time and it's strange that they served a pasta so full of oil and cream 😮‍💨

22/08/2025: Fast service, generous portions, reasonable prices (a main course with side dish is €8, arancini for €2), and excellent quality products. This is evidenced by the large number of locals who order takeout. The place is clean and well-organized. There's no table service, but for a deli, it's more than adequate.

25/11/2025: Unfortunately, my experience wasn't a positive one. We had booked through TheFork at "Lavica," but when we arrived, we found it closed, with a chalkboard indicating we should move to another adjacent restaurant. The first detail is already a bit perplexing. The place was dimly lit, which didn't help create a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered draft beers; the red one was slightly vinegary, the lagers a bit flat, but still drinkable. For our appetizer, we ordered a selection of "porchetta di Ariccia," but what arrived was a platter of very cold cured meats straight from the fridge, with a few additions on top. It really didn't take much to make it a more refined dish... Next up were chicken wings and legs: overall flavorless, and a couple had a strange taste that led us to leave them on the plate. On the plus side, I ordered the pizzolo, which was good (nothing exceptional, but pleasant). I also tried my friend's pinsa, which was good. Overall, the experience wasn't convincing. I don't think we'll return, at least not under these circumstances.

09/09/2025: We stopped in on our first night in Catania. I ordered a calzone with mortadella and my partner had a pizza. Both were delicious! The calzone was huge for 11€, I ended up taking the rest home and eating it the next day. Highly recommend!

08/09/2025: A delightful place, with attention to every detail, excellent cuisine but exorbitant prices (e.g., 4 euro cover charge per person) and very little availability or kindness from the chef or owner.

09/10/2025: Great experience, small but pleasant environment, excellent food for those who love Mexican/Argentinean food

04/10/2025: Dirty and frozen. Bathrooms and filthy environment. We've seen cockroaches in the place several times. In the summer it's scorching hot and in the winter it's cold. Apparently the owner just doesn't want to understand that he needs to renovate the place, including the kitchen. It's a shame because the food, even though it's very frozen and eaten with hands and no gloves... (I saw it with my own eyes), isn't bad. Although it's lost a lot in recent years. How the hell do you write that the food is great? Do you always come here? Do you have anything to compare it to? We've been coming here a long time and have seen a total downgrade. But worst of all is the bathroom with cockroaches. Please, Mr. Umami...renovate everything and we'll be back. HYGIENE!

04/10/2025: Don't go there: they cancelled my reservation two hours before!!!

20/09/2025: This place completely disappointed me. After booking on The Fork and driving for half an hour and 20 km, they cancelled my reservation and we had to go back with completely empty stomachs.
