We grabbed a bite to eat here for lunch as we were travelling across from Alghero to Olbia. Worth the detour. After the usual smiles at my appalling Italian and clarifying that we were English not American we asked for four meat pies (panadas), 2 formagelli (mini baked cheesecakes) and 2 barchetta (little boat shaped pastries). The lady behind the counter checked if we eating the pies straight away or keeping them for later. When we said "now" she disappeared into the back and brought out fresh, hot pies. We ate them outside in the sun - they were absolutely delicious - quite different to English pork pies; different spice mix, lighter pastry and no jelly. Although I could have scoffed the second immediately, I was persuaded by my partner that actually one was enough. The other pastries were also very tasty.

The pancakes were delicious. They didn't have any available at the time, but we were able to order and come back half an hour later. Highly recommended!

07/08/2026: Very beautiful place outside. The staff was polite although it was very busy when we arrived. It had a daily pasta dish with king crab which was very tasty. And the pizza that was also very high quality. Closing the homemade tiramisu was the best closing. I would definitely go again to try other dishes from the menu.
26/07/2026: Feeling at home, super pampered, and enjoying refined, top-quality food. I highly recommend it for a dinner on the coast.

L'Oasi da Carmelo

07/08/2026: There are places you go to for the food, and others you return to for the way they make you feel. Da Carmelo is one of them. Here you'll find everything you need for a wonderful day at the beach: relaxation, excellent food, good wine, and a family atmosphere that makes you feel at home from the first moment. Today I enjoyed a simply spectacular tuna: incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and truly unforgettable. Each dish speaks of passion, the quality of the ingredients, and the respect for good cuisine. Generous portions, authentic flavors, and fair prices: a combination that's increasingly difficult to find. A heartfelt thank you to Carmelo and the sweet Anna for their hospitality, kindness, and the care they dedicate to each guest. The passion they put into what they do is evident in every detail. Congratulations, and keep up the good work!
02/08/2026: The food is always fantastic... and every day there are fantastic off-menu options. In my case, today I ate the best seafood fregola since I've been visiting Sardinia... that is, since 1980.
