13/10/2025: If you're a fan of sophisticated table settings, this isn't your place: paper placemats, glasses reminiscent of old-fashioned taverns. However, if you want to eat well and in quantity, go to this place. The seafood dishes are truly tasty. The staff is a bit rustic, but they quickly loosen up and become friendly. Fair prices. It's a place you'll want to return to. I recommend making a reservation; it's a restaurant loved by many.

Everything was simply perfect: delicious food, carefully prepared, high-quality dishes, a truly beautiful venue, and a welcoming atmosphere.
A special thank you goes to all the staff for their hospitality, professionalism, and unwavering customer service. The wait staff was always present, attentive, and qualified, making us feel cared for from start to finish.
We also greatly appreciated the helpfulness we received even before the party: they were always ready to listen to our every need with kindness and patience.

18/08/2025: Very nice pub in a characteristic alley in the historic center. The food is good but the price is better. The sandwiches are good and tasty. It's a shame about the completely industrial meat, but it's well-composed with sauces and ingredients. The bread is excellent. It's a shame not to be able to choose between two types of different quality meat at different prices. It would be perfect because, with that meat, they were already good. I imagine what it would be with a Chianina burger cooked rare. Otherwise, excellent beer, very kind and very quick staff, and very low prices but normal for the quality of the meat.

We were on vacation with the family in Puglia (Avetrana) and tried almost every restaurant – from pizza, fries, puccia to meatballs. But the absolute best restaurant for us was Pizzeria Gyon Py!
The pizzas were simply amazing – crispy, freshly topped, and full of flavor.
The meatballs – so, so delicious! 😍
The chicken/poultry was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.
And the large puccia – really big, nice and crispy, and incredibly delicious! 🤩
You can tell that the food here is cooked with love and passion. The service is friendly, the atmosphere warm – you immediately feel welcome.
For us, this is clearly the best pizzeria in all of Avetrana – highly recommended! 🍕🔥🇮🇹
14/10/2025: It was a good pizza, and the chicken wings were also delicious. Overall, the price was fair for a family of four. I would recommend it.

25/04/2026: Arriving in Salento, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant. It's a very informal place, a great place to relax after an eight-hour journey, and the welcome was warm. I suggest calling to check availability, as it's a small place. The menu is pizza or restaurant, and we opted for the latter. The appetizers included a mix of grilled vegetables and delicious fried foods (we're in Puglia, so they fry things here). I was intrigued by the large salad in a bread basket, with a variety of ingredients to choose from. It was as rich and satisfying as the famous meat bombette—you can't come to this land without trying them. A special mention for the friendliness of the owner, a nice touch I'd like to highlight: when we got the bill, he gave us a complimentary bottle of water, realizing we'd just arrived and wouldn't have it until the next day. Prices are average, a place to return to.

26/04/2026: First of all, I've known the place and the owners for years, but just a courtesy: if someone doesn't know that on Saturdays or holidays there's karaoke, dance halls, group dancing, discos, and so on, please let me know when someone books well in advance. You never know if someone wants to go for a meal, chat, and a relaxing evening with friends, or if they want to go wild dancing. You never know. Next time, let future customers who aren't aware of these things know in advance. You may get negative reviews like mine. Unfortunately, to my dismay, no one paid for my dinner or evening, so you also need to be clear when someone books.
13/12/2025: I wouldn't even advise my worst enemy to go to that restaurant, dirty cutlery, dirty plate, everything dirty, it makes me want to vomit.

11/10/2023: Cenato in questo posto molto accogliente, arredamento tipico di un luogo di mare, quasi ellenico... non scordiamo che la Puglia faceva parte della Magna Grecia. Ordinato una serie di piatti, buona la quantità ed ottima la qualità, buono anche l'impiattamento senza avere le pretese di un piatto gourmet, come non deve essere. Cucina tipica pugliese con vero km 0... basta guardare pochi metri più avanti l'orto da cui provengono le materie prime. Complimenti.

13/06/2024: Siamo andati a cena su indicazioni di gente del posto per mangiare le pucce salentine. Locale piccolo ma accogliente, si trova a due passi dal centro di Avetrana. Possibile mangiare la pizza oppure qualche primo o secondo piatto. Sul listino viene indicato un solo tipo di puccia ed è bella farcita (puccia della casa con tonno, giardiniera, funghetti, formaggio, cotto e salame). Possibile cmq ordinare il ripieno a proprio piacimento. Assaggiati puccia della casa, puccia semplice con cotto e panzerotto al forno. Tutto molto buono. Prezzi contenuti. L’unica cosa che non abbiamo gradito è che il conto viene fatto su una calcolatrice a parte, senza vedere il dettaglio, e sul registratore di cassa viene battuto solo il totale. Non per mancanza di fiducia ma sarebbe corretto digitare sullo scontrino tutto quello che si è mangiato per evitare sorprese o incappare in malintesi. Tre stelle più che sufficienti.
