08/12/2025: I had a very positive experience at AquaNegra Paravineria. Located in the heart of Grecia Salentina, in Castrignano dei Greci, it presents itself as a place that goes beyond a simple wine shop or restaurant. The name says it all: "AquaNegra" is a clear reference to Negroamaro, a typical grape variety of Puglia, and particularly of Salento... "Paravineria," on the other hand, is a term that, through a play on words, refers to everything that revolves around good wine, good food, and everything healthy.
As soon as you walk through the front door, you immediately notice a very welcoming space, built in Lecce stone, despite its size. Opposite is the corner for the pork butcher's shop and delicatessen with hanging hams and the corner for the pizzeria with a wood-fired oven.
Browsing the menu, you immediately understand the restaurant's signature style, with a vast selection of cured meats and cheeses, including excellent meats, as well as a selection of pasta dishes and pizzas. The gastronomic offering is vast and varied, as is the extensive selection on the wine list, featuring regional, national, and even international labels.
For the occasion, we sampled the truly excellent cured meats and cheeses platter, a pizza with bresaola, almonds, and buffalo mozzarella, which was also delicious. This was also a very well-cooked Angus steak, succulent and delicious.
The service was courteous and competent.
The price wasn't at all high considering the quality of the ingredients used... €32 per person, a glass of Negroamaro, water, limoncello, and cover charge included.
AquaNegra... a well-rounded gastronomic experience you absolutely must try...!!!
17/10/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant, and everything was excellent. They gave us good recommendations: from the off-menu items (very fresh porcini mushrooms, truffles), to the excellent meat, pizza, and good wine list. Recommended. Great background music.

18/08/2025: It was 6:00 on a Sunday afternoon. I wanted an aperitif. Maybe it was too early or too late, but the fact is that there were no appetizers.
They brought us a small plate with six meatballs and a rustica sliced into quarters... too little for a proper aperitif, so I insisted on something else. But what if there was nothing in the display case?
So a tall rustico and a roll were all this bar had to offer. On the other hand, the rustici were good.

We found the typical Salento dishes authentic and incredibly flavorful, taking us on a journey of taste. But the real surprise was the meat: top-quality, tender, and cooked to perfection!
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the family-style service is impeccable and warm. Special praise to the owners for their hospitality and the passion they convey.
Highly recommended for those seeking the authentic flavors of Salento and excellent meat. We'll be back very soon! ❤️

22/08/2024: Ottimo cibo locale, unico appunto la velocità del servizio, che è stata comunque ampiamente bilanciata dalla simpatia del titolare. Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Dall’ottimo cibo salentino alla calda accoglienza di Johnatan e della sua famiglia, tutto ti fà sentire come a casa.
Piatti molto abbondanti e prezzi veramente contenuti. Qualità eccellente delle materie prime, dalla carne al pesce fino alla pizza! Senza dimenticarsi del vino rosato!
Ci hanno rapito il cuore…loro, il loro cibo e la loro ospitalità tutta salentina!

Maleducato e scorbutico, ma come si fa ad avere un’attività ed essere così scortesi?
Mentre mi parlava mangiava rumorosamente una zeppola, chiedo info per un’organizzazione di un compleanno e ad ogni mio dubbio mi rispondeva ‘E ALLORA NU FARE NIENTI’ poi ad un’altra mia domanda,la ciliegina sulla torta, si alza e inizia a dire NUI NU FATICAMU CUSI, NU ME INTERESSA!
Mai più! Ma chi si crede di essere, l’ombelico del mondo?

07/05/2025: Ce restaurant est sublime, on s'y sent comme à la maison. Le patron est d'une gentillesse inouïe, j'avais l'impression de manger chez un membre de ma famille. La nourriture était vraiment très bonne. Nous y sommes d'ailleurs allés plusieurs fois sur notre séjour. Ps: le risotto fruits de mer est exceptionnel
