16/08/2024: Die Location ist sehr schön. Das sehr freundliche Personal bedient einen sehr schnell und ist auch zuvorkommend. Das wichtigstes und zwar das Essen ist auch vortrefflich. Somit ist ein Besuch in diesem Restaurant nur zu empfehlen.

During my visit, the service was notably inattentive; despite my efforts to place a simple drink order, the staff seemed more engaged with familiar faces than with new guests. This lack of professionalism was disappointing, especially when one expects a warm, welcoming environment. As for the menu, it offers little to distinguish itself from the many other establishments in the area, presenting a rather uninspired selection that lacks any compelling reason to choose this venue over others nearby. Regrettably, based on this experience, Corte San Giovanni does not merit consideration for those seeking a memorable dining experience in Bardolino. Während meines Besuchs war der Service auffallend unaufmerksam; trotz meiner Bemühungen, eine einfache Getränkebestellung aufzugeben, schien das Personal eher mit Stammgästen als mit neuen Gästen beschäftigt zu sein. Diese mangelnde Professionalität war enttäuschend, besonders wenn man eine warme, einladende Atmosphäre erwartet. Was die Speisekarte betrifft, so bietet sie wenig, um sich von den vielen anderen Lokalen in der Gegend abzuheben, mit einer eher uninspirierten Auswahl, die keinen überzeugenden Grund liefert, dieses Lokal anderen in der Nähe vorzuziehen. Bedauerlicherweise verdient Corte San Giovanni aufgrund dieser Erfahrung keine Empfehlung für diejenigen, die ein unvergessliches kulinarisches Erlebnis in Bardolino suchen. Durante la mia visita, il servizio è stato decisamente disattento; nonostante i miei tentativi di ordinare una semplice bevanda, il personale sembrava più interessato a intrattenersi con i clienti abituali che ad accogliere i nuovi ospiti. Questa mancanza di professionalità è stata deludente, soprattutto quando ci si aspetta un ambiente caldo e accogliente. Per quanto riguarda il menu, offre ben poco per distinguersi dagli altri ristoranti della zona, presentando una selezione piuttosto banale che non offre alcun motivo convincente per scegliere questo locale rispetto ad altri nelle vicinanze. Purtroppo, in base a questa esperienza, Corte San Giovanni non merita considerazione per chi cerca un’esperienza culinaria memorabile a Bardolino.

22/07/2024: Tipical Italian tratoria not only with Italian food. For a starter we have minestrone and it was fantastic. After that, a kind of diavolo pizza. Also fantastic!! In a nice part of Venice not so crowded with tourist, near the Venice bienale place. Tratoria for locals and that is the best invitation to come and eat there.

14/07/2024: Amo Castello, ho idea che sia Venezia che cerca di farcela. Che guarda i turisti cercando di non farsi vedere, e nell’incertezza tra farli fuori e pelarli, li tratta meglio che può. Dai Tosi torno spesso, ragazze e ragazze gentili con tutti, famiglie di veneziani che ti domandi dove sono gli asili in quel casino di calli e campielli, qualche americano. Si sta bene dai Tosi, dentro e nei veloci tavoli fuori. Mica da guida Michelin, si intende, ma il conto è davvero normale (anzi), i piatti vanno e stare lì in quel contesto non ha prezzo.

24/07/2024: A cozy and atmospheric place to rest or just stop for a coffee. We had breakfast here from the hotel. Breakfast consisted of cappuccino and croissant. The price is 3 euros. It is always crowded, visitors come, drink coffee and leave. Many locals, you can see that the coffee here is good. I can't know what other cuisine is here, so I recommend only coffee. Croissants are frozen and baked in a convection oven like everywhere else. They were still warm. I am satisfied ☺️

12/05/2024: Menu like hosteria 2.0...good pinsa perhaps a little more stocked before....the sea bream seemed grilled rather than baked Let's hope it helps to improve....I will return....

30/07/2024: Lovely restaurant a little away from the hustle and bustle, great gluten free pasta vongole, it would have been nice to be served with the option of Parmesan cheese, my daughter had the Gnocchi with salmon and cream, my partner had the spaghetti carbonara all of which were very good and would highly recommend. It would be nicer if the young man that served us was a bit more cheery. The deserts were very good too.

25/05/2024: One of many restaurants alongside rio della Sensa canal, selected as it had one table free on the canal side and a reasonable varied menu that didn't seem over priced. Very happy with our choice. We had a mixed fish grill with a salad, that did not disapoint. House white wine was OK and staff friendly.

01/07/2024: I don't like the pizza you make anymore. I used to always get it from you. It was good. It's the second time in a long time that I've had pizza with porchetta. It didn't taste like anything. Gummy dough.

02/06/2024: Very kind staff. I was able to taste the pizza with hemp dough, very good and absolutely digestible.

29/08/2024: First of all didn't like how the shrimps weren't thoroughly cleaned (they left the poop inside). We had 5 aperol spritz and they made us pay 15 euro for each, so we had to pay 75 euros just for 5 cups of spritz that barely had any alchohol in them. When we demanded them to show us the prices in the menu they brought the BAR menu where it cost 12 euros to not show us the real price. So it's evident that we were deceived. A cup of aperol shpritz costs around 5 euros everywhere, including in the city center.

10/08/2024: We have finally found an Italian restaurant that we will continue going back to! Food was delicious. They have a summer special with a limited menu at $40 for two. We both ordered the chicken dish which was superb. Service was outstanding. Thank you Angela for making us feel welcome.

31/07/2024: Ready made “pizza” dough covered with increadibly greasy toppings. The chef put ham on our pizza even though it wasn’t on the menu for the pizza we picked and we specifically asked for a vegetarian pizza. Worst pizza we’ve had in a long time.

20/08/2024: Hotel molto bello e pulitissimo… Un oasi di pace… Zona piscina e giardino curatissimi con chiuso molto fornito e abbastanza economico… Al ristorante si trovano piatti di grande qualità e anche particolari… Due sole note negative: 1- in sauna non si può usare il costume anche se non l’ho trovato scritto nel al momento della prenotazione ne sul sito 2- vietare i tuffi i piscina ai bambini (ne ho uno anche io) visto che non è un parco acquatico Per il resto tutto bellissimo!!! Torneremo presto!!!

05/12/2023: I recently discovered "Umby Pizza", a takeaway pizzeria located under my house. I was immediately struck by the prices, which are very affordable, and the quality of the ingredients, which are always fresh. At the moment I have only tried two pizzas, a margherita and another of my own to test the place. The pasta is soft and fragrant, and the sauce is rich and tasty. [Update] I managed to try the Neapolitan dough, on another visit, and I must say that if you think of a contemporary Neapolitan dough with high and honeycombed edges, this is not the case, it still remains a different dough from classic dough found in other pizzerias in Padua. 28/07/2024: The pizza dough has a very acidic aftertaste and the fries were fried in very old oil making them inedible. It's a shame because the service is good, they were fast and courteous.
