14/08/2024: We came because my husband has celiac disease and is a pizza lover and it was a wonderful discovery to find this place which offers delicious pizzas (both gluten-free and normal) with quality ingredients! Top gluten-free ice cream! We also really liked the place with its vintage flavor. Excellent distances between tables, also considering that we had a stroller with us. Super friendly staff. We'll come back to try first and second courses ❤️

14/08/2024: Although a small and inconspicuous restaurant by the side of the road. It had the best Carbonara and Pizza we have ever tasted. Very pleasant service and overall comforting atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting or even making a detour for.

05/08/2024: On Friday 21 June 2024 we organized the Perugian meeting "Hands off the Apennines" in the Philosophers' Gastronomy between the United Territorial Committees, the Perugia representative of the Verdi, Ambiente, Società association (Claudio Capitini) and the lawyer Valeria Passeri, expert of environmental issues. On this occasion of meeting and conviviality between the inhabitants of the internal areas and the citizens of the Umbrian capital, together with the good food of the Gastronomia Filosofi, we shared the need to protect the countryside, hills and mountains from uniform and forced industrialization projects ( wind farms on the ridges and photovoltaics in the green areas), incompatible with the different vocations and aspirations of the territories and its inhabitants.

19/07/2024: There are places like this in every city, town and village in the world! This is not just a delicatessen. This is a project that focuses on the human being, agriculture, healthy eating, and equality. Claudio the owner is a special being. The place is close to the historic center of Perugia and can be reached in a few minutes with escalators and then a short walk along Via dei Filosofi. If you go there you can't help but taste the delicious and healthy ice cream like the food that Claudio prepares...

03/08/2024: Locale conosciuto da anni, dove al passaggio ci siamo sempre fermati con piacere, pizzeria e cucina veramente buoni e personale cordiale.....almeno fino a ieri. La cordialita' della titolare e' venuta meno quando ha visto il nostro cane, un pastore tedesco. In modo molto sgarbato ci ha detto che non potevamo mangiare all'interno del locale, solo ai tavoli fuori, dove faceva caldissimo considerate le temperature del periodo. Va bene tutto, ma non scortesia e poco rispetto del cliente da parte di un ristoratore, ci saremmo comunque seduti fuori, "rispettiamo sempre le regole".

27/07/2024: Se passate da qui fermatevi a mangiare! Merita veramente!! Ambiente semplice e personale molto cordiale e accogliente, cucina casalinga! Di ritorno dalla Val D’Orcia abbiamo trovato posto di Domenica a pranzo ed abbiamo mangiato veramente bene. Buono e abbondante il tagliere misto, ma il top sono stati i Pici a l’oca piatto fuori menu strepitoso un ricordo dei piatti di mia nonna che era della zona!! Insomma se siete in zona fermatevi!!

01/09/2024: Extremely exaggerated prices and an unjustifiably pretentious menu. The prices of the pizzas also reach €16 and are not worth it. We ate in batches, when the last pizza arrived everyone else had already finished eating for a while. I do not recommend

25/05/2024: Terrible experience! Two €20 pizzas made with (:) dog, one bacchus and one shrimp which is actually rocket... that's all I'll say, you could have directly written Margherita with rocket and Margherita with lidel burratina and 4 pieces of salmon. What a catch...

11/04/2024: Error in the bill (€20 more on a total of €46). I noticed on my own even if, at the checkout, the manager had "typed" the receipt stating the dishes. Shortly afterwards I was given the difference back, €17, minus the €3 for the excellent slice of tart, which was mistakenly counted as €20. Well... they lost a customer. In my opinion, being a customer, the gesture was appropriate. Nothing to say about the excellent quality offered by the delightful venue.

21/08/2024: Despite the beauty of the town and the hospitality of its inhabitants, this restaurant is totally not recommended: after waiting a long time we received literally burnt and inedible pizzas. To be avoided

14/08/2024: It is a place that I frequent occasionally, more than ever in the summer as a refuge from the city heat. Compared to last year it seems to me that the pizza dough has gotten worse. Courteous staff who work hard but every now and then you notice that they are beginners. The prices have remained the same but the portions have become a little smaller. However, it remains an excellent alternative to the summer heat

15/08/2024: I had an unforgettable stay at Palazzo Barbini in Castiglione del Lago! The historic charm of the property, combined with modern comforts, made for a perfect experience. The spacious and beautifully decorated rooms offered stunning views of the lake and surrounding countryside. Brando, our host, was exceptional—warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with local tips and recommendations. His attention to detail truly made our stay special. The location is ideal, with easy access to the town’s attractions and lovely restaurants. I can't recommend Palazzo Barbini and Brando enough for a relaxing and authentic Italian getaway!

21/07/2024: Great experience!!! Top marks for this ancient residence, visible efforts to keep the furnishings as original as possible. Congratulations for the welcome, the boy of particular education and courtesy. We were welcomed with all the attention, fresh water upon arrival and a delicious coffee upon check out. Top marks to the cook, and all the staff (of the pasta elementary school). I would return to Castiglione just to taste its dishes again (all superb). The spacious rooms, excellent cleanliness, hydromassage tub. Plus coffee, tea, air conditioning. Our little girl slept great on a top-brand sofa bed. The double room of the imperial suite sent us back in time. It gave me the thrill, especially when waking up with the sound of bells. Very original!!!

13/07/2024: Per carità, mi ricordavo di un posto carino alla mano ed accogliente. Ma non c era nulla di tutto ciò, il ragazzo che prende l ordine brancola nel buio, non finisce nemmeno di far scegliere le pietanze o le bevande che se ne va; la pizza non è buona, pesante e gommosa. Arriviamo al caffè, che ordino e mi chiedono se lo volevo zuccherato o meno…! Ovviamente arriva senza bustina di zucchero xke lo prendo amaro. Il conto, vado a pagare non hanno il pos, rotto dice, ma io non avevo un euro, sono dovuta andare a ritirare e riportare i soldi. Nemmeno 1€ di sconto per la correttezza. Sconsigliato, non tornerò più.
