11/11/2025: After returning for the fourth time in the last four years, with about a year between each visit, I can confidently say that Il Pellegrino is now an absolute must-try in Val di Nievole.
Without a doubt, it's the best steak you can eat from Pistoia to Lucca, and in my opinion, it even beats many Florentine steaks. The quality of the meat is top-notch, but what makes the difference is their way of cooking and seasoning it; every four times, it melted in my mouth!
All the other ingredients are also top-notch; mushrooms and truffles with an authentic and intense flavor. The restaurant, after its recent renovation, is elegant and welcoming.
Just as elegant, kind, welcoming, and very competent are all the staff, from the owners Lorenzo and Mirko, to the entire staff!! Put your GPS on and go there; it's a five-minute drive from the center of Montecatini, but you won't regret it! The price is also very fair for the quality of what you eat and drink... Recommended above all!!
08/11/2025: The food wasn't bad, except for the overpriced appetizer portions, which were small for a group of 12 people plus a boy. The steak was decent, but the worst part was the surprise bill... because €80 each for an appetizer and a steak seems like a lot to me. It's true that we drank seven bottles of €20 Chianti, but where's the €1200?! 4 crostini each, a few mixed cold cuts, side dishes with the steaks, dip, and two potatoes. In the end, it seemed logical to ask for a receipt; I would have done things differently.

21/09/2025: We paid 36 euros for 2 pizzas, 1 bottle of wine and 1 tiramisu, and the fact that it was located in the square and tasted extremely delicious was enough for us.
17/09/2025: Its unusual to get great food, drinks and service in the same establishment in Montecatini. Best tasting Pizza ive had for as long as i can remember, lovely beer, and best service from the staff team since we arrived here. I can definitely recommend here.

14/11/2025: Unfortunately, it was a real disappointment.
The place was a complete failure: the food was not good, the ingredients weren't fresh, and the flavors were truly below average. Furthermore, the staff seemed a bit nervous and unprofessional, almost as if bothering customers was normal.
Overall, a bad experience. Of all the good places out there, I definitely wouldn't recommend this one.

04/10/2025: Very tasty, fast service. The place is nice, we got a table in the closed courtyard. We didn't reserve in advance, but it's better to reserve.
It's a popular place, and for good reason.
We weren't hungry, so we stopped in for a drink.
We had an Aperol, but ended up getting pizza and a Milanese schnitzel, which were very tasty.
The hostess was friendly.
We were satisfied.

03/11/2025: Guys, if you're ever in the Montecatini area, I can confirm, as I see many others have already done, that Libertine is truly worth the 5 stars I gave it with great pleasure and duty, because everything was perfect, from the cocktails and long drinks to the desserts, from the burgers to the first and second courses. Fair prices, excellent service, and friendly and empathetic staff, the quality of the products is truly high. Let me just say... the five-grain bread exceeds all expectations, the baked potatoes are exceptional... and if the four of us leave satisfied with what we ate and don't complain, we've reached the top. Well done, guys. Keep it up!
26/09/2025: I've been to this place three times for dinner and twice for aperitivo. The food isn't bad, and the atmosphere is nice, so we've been several times. For a cocktail bar, however, the drinks are expensive and watered down, and the owner was guilty of arrogance. €24 for two watered-down cocktails is excessive, and when I pointed it out, he wouldn't listen to us... too bad, you lost a customer for one drink. Make your cocktails better, and for that price, if a repeat customer isn't happy, you can offer them another, or find a more strategic marketing strategy instead of pretending nothing is happening. If you don't care about your customers, you think I don't care about returning to your place. So, food is fine, but cocktails are a no-no.

20/10/2025: We made the journey from Montecatini Terme to Montecatini Alto twice and ate at this restaurant, which boasts a lovely atmosphere on the lively main square of the small village. Everything we enjoyed during these visits was exceptionally good. Therefore, we definitely recommend this restaurant. A special recommendation is the "Tagliere di affetati," a snack with sausage, cheese, bread, and various sauces for two people – definitely worth trying.
11/10/2025: Extremely Disappointing Experience
Less than 1 star.
We arrived as part of a group of English speakers. At first, the staff told us we could sit which we did. Then, just a few minutes later, the same person returned saying she had been told she was "outstood" and could no longer serve us.
There was no explanation, no apology — nothing. The change in attitude was abrupt and made us feel completely unwelcome. It was rude and confusing, and the whole experience left a really bad impression. Definitely would not recommend.

04/04/2025: Frequento questa felice isola enogastronomico da quando ero una bambina. Per me è il massimo di quello che si può chiedere per un ristorante pizzeria: ottimo cibo, servizio perfetto, ambiente informale e curato al tempo stesso. Tutto buono, dalla pizza alla bistecca, dai dolci all’antipasto toscano, dal pesce al fritto di verdure. Sconvolgente la velocità nonostante i piatti siano davvero tutti espressi.
24/03/2025: Cibo buono, pizze se ti piacciono quelle sottili sei nel posto giusto. Locale informale ma nei weekend c’è veramente tanta gente… troppa.

20/04/2025: Virkelig dårlig mad. Stol ikke på billederne. Vi bestilte Brucheti misti. Den ene lignede tør leverpostej, en var ferske fedt strimler og en tredie var slappe svampe strimler, der ikke smagte af noget. Der spiser vi ikke igen.
