05/09/2025: Based on the reviews I'd read, I expected something better, but the food quality wasn't up to par. The meat was decent, but nothing special, while the baked potatoes tasted like they were frozen. The outdoor seating is on a hairpin bend in the road: in a small town, that's fine, but if a lot of cars pass by, it gets pretty chaotic. Prices, as always, are insane!

05/08/2025: We were a party of 5 adults and 2 children. No reservation, but we got a table.
Thin crust pizza (which i don't particularly enjoy). Topping was good, but not "classical" Italian.

Pur essendo affollato in giorno di festa, ho trovato un buon servizio, una ottima qualità del menù e molta gentilezza.
Lo consiglio anche a persone celiache.

09/09/2025: I dined at this restaurant two nights in a row. These were by far the best two meals that I had while in Italy. You can choose your lobster or whole fish from the display case. They debone your whole fish at the table. Every request to alter a dish or accomodation was fulfilled. One of my friends ordered the 800 gram tbone steak. It was presented on a sizzling platter. Another ordered their seafood linguine with lobster in a tomato sauce. He said it was the best pasta dish he ever had. I ordered the seafood platter in the picture. Seafood is almost always over cooked, especially calamari. All of the items were cooked perfectly so that they were done but not chewy.
My second visit was with a group of 25. I approached the hostess at 7:30 pm during the dinner rush. The place was packed. I requested a reservation in 30 minutes for a party of 25. She gladly gave us the reservation and set up a table in the back room away from the crowds for us. We were all seated immediately. All 25 of the people said the food was amazing. I ordered the filet with peppercorn and walnut sauce. I could have cut the steak with a fork. The sauce was perfect, balanced and not overpowering. If you're in San Mangiano, or even passing by. I highly recommend. The restaurant also sits in the town square with outdoor seating and an attached desserterie owned by the restaurant.
08/09/2025: Stopped by for a quick bite to eat. Food and service did not disappoint. Servers were very nice. Pizza was delicious 😋

06/09/2025: We had dinner last night, ordering a small appetizer while waiting for a saffron risotto, which the menu indicated was a 20-minute wait.
After eating an unpretentious salad, we were served a risotto that tasted more like rice in broth (overcooked, cold, and flavorless).
But given that the cooking time was 20 minutes, which was respected, how come it arrived at the table overcooked, cold, and in broth?
Of course, it's best avoided.
21/08/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in Montecatini Terme and the experience was extremely positive. The quality of the dishes was excellent: fresh ingredients, meticulous preparation, and authentic flavors that showcase the local culinary tradition.
The service deserves special mention: the staff was always helpful, courteous, and attentive to every detail, contributing to the pleasant and relaxing atmosphere.

17/08/2025: As for the pizza, let's leave it at that; it's unsightly and inedible. They should still be starting from the base. It arrived very thin, almost transparent, and burned all around.
As for the meat, I ate it the day before. Excellent, very good, and perfectly cooked.
15/08/2025: I recently visited Pizzeria Trattoria Il Vicolo, and unfortunately, I have to say that the experience was disappointing in many ways.
The portion sizes were rather small.
What made the evening even worse was the attitude of the staff, especially the lady in the dining room, who was anything but friendly and polite. When it came time to pay, she even rudely and surlyly refused to accept two separate card payments, behavior I find unacceptable in 2025.
A place that, in my opinion, doesn't put the customer first and leaves a less than pleasant impression.
I absolutely do not recommend it.

04/06/2025: Il nostro ristorante preferito in assoluto. Il migliore di Montecatini assolutamente. Consiglio il menù pesce e la tagliata alla Robespierre. Sono due anni che siamo clienti fissi e non abbiamo lasciato mai una recensione. Era doveroso.

24/08/2025: The food was fine, but the owner (in sweatpants) could be a bit more customer-friendly. Running a business in such a location must be a real pleasure, right?
23/08/2025: The food was okay. The pizza pazza and carbonara were very good. The place is open even during siesta. The youngest waiter speaks English and Italian and greets customers with a smile. Compared to his colleagues, they are poor; they don't understand a word of what's being said to them. Finally, I'll add that this place is expensive. Aperol 9€, pizza 15€, pasta 14€, and you have to add a 3€ service charge per person.

04/04/2025: Frequento questa felice isola enogastronomico da quando ero una bambina. Per me è il massimo di quello che si può chiedere per un ristorante pizzeria: ottimo cibo, servizio perfetto, ambiente informale e curato al tempo stesso. Tutto buono, dalla pizza alla bistecca, dai dolci all’antipasto toscano, dal pesce al fritto di verdure. Sconvolgente la velocità nonostante i piatti siano davvero tutti espressi.
24/03/2025: Cibo buono, pizze se ti piacciono quelle sottili sei nel posto giusto. Locale informale ma nei weekend c’è veramente tanta gente… troppa.

20/04/2025: Virkelig dårlig mad. Stol ikke på billederne. Vi bestilte Brucheti misti. Den ene lignede tør leverpostej, en var ferske fedt strimler og en tredie var slappe svampe strimler, der ikke smagte af noget. Der spiser vi ikke igen.
