07/08/2025: After two weeks in Taormina, we discovered this hidden gem on our last day and what a wonderful surprise! The warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the kind family who runs the place made us feel right at home.
The food was exactly what we needed: comforting and full of flavor. The vegetable soup was absolutely delicious, the lamb cotoletta was tender and perfectly cooked, and the tagliatelle and swordfish rolls were just fantastic.
On top of all that, the prices were the best we found in Taormina — great quality without the tourist mark-up. I only wish we had found this place sooner! Highly recommended.

31/03/2026: We had a really great experience at Antico Caffe San Giorgio while staying in Castelmola for the winter. The place has such a relaxed vibe, especially sitting on the terrace enjoying the spectacular views.
What really stood out was the people. The staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being over the top. You feel comfortable right away, like you’re a regular even if it’s your first visit.
The food is fresh and well-prepared, and everything just feels easy and enjoyable. In summer, this place gets very busy—and it’s easy to see why.
We heard that the terrace fills up quickly, and there’s a lively atmosphere with lots of happy people enjoying food and drinks.
So yes, expect a bit of a wait during peak times, but it’s definitely worth it.
Thank you Sabrina, Lisa, Goli, Aziz, Sala, Monia, Manuel and all the other staff for always being so kind and helpful to me and Randy this winter.
31/03/2026: The place is very pretty and charming, but it took them over an hour to serve our food, even though there were very few people there. I think they forgot our order.
The lasagna, according to my son, "is to die for." The penne with pistachio pesto and prawns wasn't good. It tasted like a supermarket ready-made meal. In short, the experience was disappointing.

06/04/2026: The atmosphere is very dated and poorly maintained, the service is terrible, the staff is disorganized and unprofessional. The dishes don't match what's on the menu. I ordered a bruschetta that was supposed to have tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, eggplant, and olives, but what I got was a bruschetta with tomatoes and onions drizzled with sunflower oil. The wait was also long for what I ordered. The price is too high for what you get. The only positive aspect is the view.
28/03/2026: Unfortunately, my experience at this Italian restaurant was very disappointing. The food was truly subpar – the pizza tasted like a cheap, store-bought version, completely lacking in character and freshness.
The vegetable soup was tragically salty, with overcooked broccoli and canned chickpeas swimming in it. Honestly, it was one of the worst Italian dinners I've ever had.
The only positive is the atmosphere – it might appeal to those who appreciate vintage '90s style. Unfortunately, that's the only positive. The rest leaves much to be desired. The dishes and cutlery were dirty, and the overall cleanliness of the place was very poor. It was a bit messy, making it unpleasant to sit and eat there.
I definitely don't recommend this place.

11/04/2025: Fermati a cena dopo una visita del posto per una pizza! La vista è fantastica,merita una tappa! Pizza buona! Servizio un po lento...migliorabile, ma ricordo che quella sera c'era un evento per cui probabilmente il motivo è riconducibile a quello.
