03/09/2025: Historic pizzeria....I practically grew up with them....first Gisa's father, whom I never met, then Gisa and her husband, whom I met, then Angela and Giusy, Gisa's daughters....who today maintain the family tradition....in every way....both the positive aspects (the goodness of the products) and the negative ones (seize the moment or you'll never find anything left to eat)....
30/08/2025: We came to Gisa's because we were curious to try Carloforte's famous farinata.
Gisa's is one of the most famous and popular pizzerias in Carloforte, so we absolutely had to try it.
We arrived around 7:00 PM and there was already a pretty long line.
At this place, you can order pizza by the slice: margherita, red pizza without mozzarella, and farinata.
The lady who cuts the pizza and farinata and prepares the trays is very kind and prepared us a portion of pizza with margherita, a red pizza without mozzarella, and two portions of farinata, one to take away and one to eat right away, fresh from the oven.
Needless to say, it was really good, and in its simplicity, it's truly worth a try.
If you find yourself in Carloforte, I recommend stopping by, standing in line, and trying the farinata—you won't regret it!

13/09/2025: We got these small wrap style pizza take-aways - a small pizza rolled and served in a piece of paper. never had anything like this before. it was delicious. also the lady at the counter was really nice and helpful. only 6,50€ for two of these!

13/10/2025: Everything was very good; we came to this restaurant/pizzeria twice during our vacation. It's very basic, nothing fancy, but the food is perfect: excellent pizza, excellent fish, and very friendly service.
24/09/2025: Sounds like a family owned pizza restaurant. The pizza and house wine were both perfect for the price paid. Much better than pricey tourist restaurant we dined last night in downtown.

26/09/2025: In my opinion, the restaurant deserves more stars than the list here indicates. We got a table for lunch without a reservation, an hour before closing time. We ordered a mixed salad, spaghetti vongole, and pasticcio alla Carlofortina. We accompanied it with a light white wine, as recommended by the owner. The dishes were freshly prepared, and the aroma alone promised a great meal. The portions were truly plentiful. The value for money was good. However, I would like to point out that a low price shouldn't be the basis for a good meal. Much more important is the lasting taste experience. And for that, I say thank you very much.

06/03/2025: A volte le esperienze negative sono utili. Da una cena da EOS ho imparato che in futuro dovrò’ stare alla larga da ristoranti come questo. Ambiente freddo e sciatto, con pareti ricoperte di compensato. Le cozze che sapevano di stagno e non di mare ed una pasta alle vongole che tutto aveva, tranne il gusto di fresco. In compenso, il servizio e’ disponibile e la proprietaria ha accolto molto educatamene le osservazioni sulla ‘qualità’ dei piatti. A saperlo avrei preso una pizza perche’ molti avventori sembravano gradirla, i prezzi sono modici.
Non ci tornerò mai piu’.
