05/06/2025: A pearl on the Corso di Gallipoli: “Stella Marina”
Lunch was a journey through the scents and flavors of Salento. As a first course we tasted tagliolini al limone with purple shrimp and burrata: a very successful combination of the citrus freshness of the pasta, the sweetness and delicacy of the purple shrimp, and the creaminess of the burrata that enveloped everything in a symphony of flavor. A refined but perfectly balanced dish.
To follow, a sliced tuna served on a bed of rocket with fresh cherry tomatoes and a delicate balsamic glaze. The tuna, perfectly seared and tender when cut, released all the flavor of the sea. Careful presentation, genuine flavors.
To accompany everything, an excellent glass of local white wine, fresh and fragrant, perfect for enhancing the dishes.
Friendly service, a relaxed atmosphere and a central location make “Stella Marina” a must-visit for those looking for authentic and well-executed seafood cuisine in the heart of Gallipoli.
Highly recommended!

22/08/2025: A good restaurant in a semi-central area, at the entrance to the Varazze "Budelo" (street). Unfortunately, the location is a bit disappointing, being below street level and protected by a green wall of laurel and other plants that impede ventilation. Decent dishes, good service. Prices are moderately high for the location. The complimentary digestif at the end of the meal is appreciated.

Happened for lunch (by mistake). Choice between two first courses and two cold second courses...
Pasta carbonara with courgettes, where there was not even one ingredient of carbonara, tasteless and made like that, just for the sake of it...
I order a plate of pasta, a beer and a slice of tart for €16, against the osterias or trattorias where you have more choice, the food is good and you have a first course, a second course with side dish plus water for €12/13...
Conclusion:
Next door there is a nice place that does kebab, it is definitely worth stopping there.
ANSWER:
If you are a bar, be a bar then!!!
If instead, you put up a sign for a hot food restaurant (at these prices not justified by the quality or the flavour), in my opinion you are a trap for unsuspecting passers-by.
It is true that taste is subjective, but a dish thrown there, just for the sake of it, remains the same wherever you go.
05/05/2025: Très bonne expérience , pizza bonne, rapide et pas chère, accueil chaleureux. J’ai fait une erreur de commande car le menu n’est pas traduit et je me suis retrouvée avec une pizza saucisses frites mais finalement, j’ai bien aimé!

23/07/2025: Le pire restaurant de ma vie nous y sommes allé un jour où le restaurant ouvrait à 11h. Nous sommes arrivé à 11h45, quand nous arrivions devant le restaurant le serveur qui nous voit nous ferme la porte au nez 😤🤬🤯
Quand ouvre la porte il se tourne est nous froidement que il n’ouvre pas que dans 35 minutes et il nous propose rien. HORRIBLE LE PIRE RESTO ❌❌❌
09/07/2025: Una stella perche’ meno non si puo’! 50 euro per due antipasti fantasia che si chiama o cosi perche’ ce ne vuole tanta… 28 euro un piatto misero di paccheri coi gamberi “viola”, antipasto di terra con formaggio da pizza e prosciutto cotto nel piatto!!!!!!

25/08/2025: TERRIBLE, STAY AWAY. Let me start by saying that the positive reviews were probably written by friends/relatives, because otherwise I can't explain it. My partner and I were in Gallipoli and decided to dine there because it's conveniently located, but unfortunately, we didn't read the reviews first. Luckily, we only ordered two pizzas (avoiding possible food poisoning). After 10 minutes, the "pizzas" arrived, and we were shocked: two marble-like piadinas with watery sauce on top. Comparing them to the frozen ones from the supermarket is a great compliment. Having closed the food topic, I have to mention the promoter stationed outside trying to attract customers: he's intrusive to say the least, and above all, fake, as he stands in the middle of the street approaching passersby and selling them his "fantastic" cuisine. The only positive note is the young people serving tables, who are very kind; as soon as we arrived with our dog, they immediately brought us a bowl of water without even asking. To conclude this outrage, we paid the bill at a pseudo-cash register with a hostile and, to say the least, uninterested owner, adding insult to injury.
23/08/2025: Terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

26/07/2025: Come recensire un disastro del genere? In tutta la mia vita non ho mai provato una roba simile. Il servizio è stato frettoloso e impersonale, con l’unico obiettivo di liberare il tavolo al più presto. Il tutto a prezzi ingiustificati, considerando la qualità (bassissima) dei piatti.
Un vero peccato: la cucina pugliese merita rispetto, e questo ristorante la banalizza in modo imbarazzante. Non lo consiglierei a nessuno in cerca di un’esperienza autentica.
