06/04/2025: Ristorante tradizionale, con un buon menu sia di carne che di pesce, cosa non affatto scontata. Ottima la tartare di gambero, come pure il pescato del giorno. Servizio cortese e attento, tavoli sia all'interno che all'esterno.

20/05/2025: A seaside evening in Monza, with a Salento heart Is it possible that the sea and good fish can reach Monza? Yes, and that's exactly what happened to us thanks to Angelo and Vanda, who helped us discover TIPORTO: a restaurant where you can imagine the sea, but you can really feel it - in the taste, in the aromas, in the atmosphere. They had already told us in the car that a surprise awaited us. As soon as we entered the restaurant, Angelo turns to the maître and asks: "Is Danilo there?" We thus discover that Danilo, the owner, is originally from Sannicola like us, to be precise from Chiesanuova, where the Giaffredas are a well-known presence. Danilo arrives, we shake hands like true Salento people and immediately begins a story made of shared memories, families, experiences. From his days as a restless boy to his studies as a surveyor, to the many jobs carried out with dedication: from personal care to catering, always with his father's teachings in his heart - work above all else, independence and the desire to succeed. And so it was: different companies, meat and fish restaurants, with a single common thread - quality, passion and sacrifice. Today, Danilo leads a team of over 100 people. A true success story that moved us. We had to interrupt the story to dedicate ourselves - with great pleasure - to tasting a fish menu worthy of the best restaurants in Gallipoli: magnificently presented dishes, authentic flavours, impeccable service. The only regret? Not being able to participate in the fish auction that TIPORTO organizes from Friday to Sunday evening: a unique event that, as Danilo told us, makes this place even more special. TIPORTO in Monza is a restaurant where the sea takes shape between the dishes and the people. Highly recommended! Thank you Angelo and Vanda for this extraordinary experience. 06/05/2025: 15 years ago I worked in here. It was another management. We were young and we liked to drink. That was a real little club... this has become a nice place instead. I frequent it especially during lunch breaks. The cuisine is excellent (although recently I see the risottos and the various citrusy fish which were a real gem of the place have disappeared a bit; has the chef changed?) and the prices are in line with the area. The owner, a wonderful and elegant dark-haired lady of rare class and kindness, looks after the house like a true innkeeper from times gone by. Quick at the checkout, practical with my tickets, kind in never missing a smile. If necessary, come by and make coffee like a real barista. A couple of times he even gave me credit because I left my cell phone at home. The rest of the staff is capable and kind. Of course during lunch breaks they have to be a little hasty. The curly-haired lady, the colleague with the perfectly groomed white beard, and the bald bartender. I know almost all of them by sight and I always like to have a chat with them all. The place is always frequented by local people and after you have been going for a while you will always hear a greeting and they will remember your name. I would pay a little more attention to the menu for a place like this, a color Inkjet costs a few tens of euros and a nice freshly made menu is better than the photocopied junk they dish out. A sour note indeed. In short, unlike the old club, I would gladly take a beautiful girl on a first date hoping to win her over. Keep it up!

06/05/2025: Pizza by the slice practically fried underneath, therefore heavy to digest, if eaten in the evening, take a nice walk afterwards. Nice place but tables outside are better if the weather is good. PS: you also pay for table service, it is not included in the drinks.
