04/06/2025: Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Das Essen und der Wein waren such sehr gut. Wir konnten draußen unter den grünen Blätterdach sitzen, was auch ein sehr schönes Ambiente war. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

04/05/2025: We arrive on Friday evening. 2 people it was 8.45pm. The place, at least in the part with the outside tables, was semi-empty. We approached the staff asking if we could have a table for two and we received the answer with a dry tone: "no not today, without a reservation it is not possible". I repeat, it was 8.45pm, not 7pm.
...I don't know, the seats had to be occupied by Macbeth's ghost guests, evidently. Tragic-comic scene, we had a laugh and went to eat somewhere else 🤷🏻

11/05/2025: Papillon was recommended to us by a lovely boat-tour captain (located in Barbarano) aaand it was a great experience! Even though Google says they are closed from 3-7pm they welcomed us at 14:56 with open hands. Great location with an outside seating next to the lake. Smiley staff which can without any problem communicate in english and tasty food of course 🙂 thank you!
04/05/2025: The worst service and the food is average. It is a nice spot and deserves a better place. I think it’s on my top worst restaurant in Salo list.

17/05/2025: We were told it was quite busy and we'd have to wait up to an hour for the pizza. In the end, it only took a good 40 minutes. The pizza was delicious, and the service was very friendly and polite despite the rush.

03/06/2025: Don't know what the people who gave this restaurant such bad reviews are talking about. Fine dining it's not, but it doesn't pretend to be. We recently stayed in Salo for a week and ate there every night (apart from one night when it was raining heavily) and had several lunches there as well. The pizza's we had were extremely large and tasted great. The pasta dishes we had were very tasty and authentic - their carbonara was one of the best I've ever tasted and was full of guanciale (cured pork) I personally don't like garlic and they left this out in the other pasta dishes I had. We had the chicken escalope and it was a large piece of meat and I also had the mussels which were good.
The staff were great - polite, friendly and efficient. They recognised us every time - 1 waiter even said hello when we saw him on the lake side - away from the restaurant. They were always smiling and we built up a good rapport with them all. We were always made to feel welcome. Service is included in the bill but on our last meal we gave them a 20 Euro tip which they were not expecting and kept thanking us over and over again.
We had no problem with the prices..... depending on what we had to eat the highest bill we were given was 60 Euros. This would be for 2 main courses, 2 large beers, 2 lemon sodas and a tiramisu. The best thing is that if you pay cash they give you a discount. We paid cash and we've worked it out that the discounts we received meant we ate for free on one night
Would we go back again - too right. Can't wait

01/06/2025: Siamo stati ieri in questo bel ristorante, affacciato sul lago a Salò in una piacevole atmosfera della zona pranzo ombreggiata e piacevolmente allietata dalla brezza. Il servizio cortese, gentile e solerte. Il nostro pranzo è stato composto da pasta fatta in casa alla carbonara e con formaggio locale e Bacon. Tutto molto saporito e cucinato perfettamente. Il prezzo più che adeguato, considerando la location e il servizio. Torneremo sicuramente.
24/04/2025: Wir waren schon zum dritten Mal hier, anlässlich eines Tagesausfluges nach Salò. War immer gut, diesmal ist uns der Service besonders aufgefallen, da wir mittlerweile 2 Personen mit veganer Ernährung und eine mit glutenunverträglichkeit dabei haben - in Italien nicht immer ganz easy. Die Karte ist hat glutenfreie (gegen moderaten Aufpreis) Alternativen und drei Pizzas ohne Käse im Angebot (kann man natürlich auch immer weglassen…), ich glaube sogar auch Laktosefreie Alternativen. Es war nicht sonderlich viel los, aber der Service war super freundlich und schnell. Wir bekamen einen Tisch, an (neben) dem auch unsere großen Hunde entspannt Platz hatten. Alles in allem ein rundum schöner und leckerer Besuch für die ganze Familie zu einem moderaten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

28/09/2024: Posizione centrale, sul lungo lago con una vista stupenda. Servizio cordiale e veloce, pasta buonissima. Da provare!
12/09/2024: Locale con terrazzo panoramica sul lago. Un posto che potrebbe avere più potenziale ma sembra un po' spartano. Sembra avere un potenziale inespresso. Le pizze non sono male. Servizio cordiale.
