31/03/2024: We ate there 2 evenings in a row and it gives a mixed review. On the menu, very good dishes the first evening. The second evening, disappointed by the pizzas. Otherwise, a good welcome and a pleasant setting.

27/03/2024: Really bad experience! Cutlery wasn’t properly cleaned and our ‘’ waitress’’ was rude and arrogant. We asked her to remove the price of a dish as we found a hair in it, she answered that it was probably ours. They did remove the dish from our bill but the way they treated us throughout the whole time was unacceptable.

07/01/2024: We had an amazing lunch, we arrived just before 2pm and they normally close at 2pm but they were happy to let us in. As it is winter we sat inside, lovely atmosphere, cosy and lovely decorated. We ordered a starter and a main, pasta, mussels and pizza. All the dishes were amazing, beautiful presented and tasted great. The people were very friendly and even gave our kids a little present for the tradition La Brefana. We highly recommend this restaurant, it was one of the best ones we ate during our Italy trip.

11/01/2024: I have always liked the Calcandola pizzeria because it overlooks Piazza Matteotti, the heart of the historic center of Sarzana, and because it has an aesthetically pleasing, warm and welcoming place. The owners are kind and professional. Unfortunately, the table service is not always up to everything else: a bit of carelessness and the lack of willingness to advise/try to satisfy particular dietary needs and alternatives to what is rigidly written on the menu should be avoided. Overall, apart from this small flaw, the place is certainly recommended.

09/12/2023: The pizza is very good, I often order takeaway and they are always very punctual. My favorite pizza is the mushroom one, it's really good!!

06/01/2024: Resto sympathique, au cœur de la vieille ville. Personnel accueillant. Ils nous ont servi assez tard à 14h30 alors que d’autres restos nous refusaient. Bon repas.

05/01/2024: Discreta cena nel centro di Monterosso, abbiamo ordinato entrambi le trofie al pesto che erano buone! Al contrario il fritto misto preso di secondo non ci ha sufficiente entusiasmato. Location nulla di che e prezzi nella media.

19/02/2024: Every time I go to Levanto I always stop to eat the focaccia in this bakery, I usually get the cheese one which I have never compared to that of another bakery there in Levanto... but from some negative reviews I read, they encourage me to try on the other hand, to make a comparison, the environment is nice, I always stopped at the entrance where the people who come in stop at the counter for purchases, they have a lot to do, perhaps limit the tables, because eating with people crowded together is not the best , due to their kindness they have never been rude, but cold and unfriendly, but I think it is the character of the Ligurians, the lady who turns the tables I think is the owner seems very attentive and the place seems clean to me.

07/05/2024: Good evening....we ordered 3 pizzas, the delivery boy shows up with 2....and one of these had to be a capricciosa without mozzarella. And instead it was normal with mozzarella. It was sent back, after 20 minutes (order delayed by 25 minutes) the boy showed up again with the 2 pizzas (the missing and the wrong one.) The capricciosa without mozzarella was ok, the other was a stracciatella with the addition of raw ham, parmesan and hoax but they weren't there when they opened the pizza. I warn the boy and call the manager. Annoyed and he also wanted to be right, the last order he will receive, because making mistakes is human but then you have to have the balls to apologize and take responsibility, even if you hire interns or other incompetent people. And the owner who pays the consequences. (The additions were paid for.)

21/08/2023: We went to eat at this place for the Madonna Bianca on August 17, 2023. I think only for that day the pizza was by the slice. A slice 5 euros. The service was fast but the pizza was quite poor perhaps due to the confusion surrounding the event.
