03/07/2025: Updated 3/7/2025... It's a shame I didn't get to know this large, bright and elegant place before. I've often passed by these parts but, somehow, the road hid it from my sight. Martino, his brother and the entire "team" have a forty-year history! In this very long time, they have been able to captivate the palate of many customers (take a look at the awards hanging). The brother, unfortunately recently passed away, was able to pass on the art of pizza making to those present. The rest is all to be tasted. I can only confirm the goodness and quality of the dishes offered. Excellent pizza department. I don't think you can find better pizza than this (without fear of contradiction). Exceptional dough, richness of ingredients and goodness of the latter, cooking... Everything to compose a sort of work of art. You will be welcomed with extreme kindness and availability. You will end up being positively surprised by the bill. Excellent.

02/07/2025: A good pizzeria overall, but the atmosphere was terrible. The price for a pizza is extremely low and the pizzas are good, but it was unbearable. Too much noise, howling animals, noisy children, and no one said anything. Too bad.

22/07/2025: Just left this restaurant. Never more! We waited for 1 hour for terrible shitty dog food, nobody can believe how spaghetti ala carbonara can look like (and taste like). You can be really proud for your service and pasta you offer for nearly 58 €!

16/07/2025: Even though the place is a bit dated, the food is very good. We especially loved the pizza, cooked in the wood-fired oven, which is simply breathtaking. The fish-based first courses and fried fish were also very good. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, and very attentive to their customers. We had a problem with the table setup, but the lady quickly resolved the issue. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it.

22/06/2025: This seafood spot surprised me with their incredible ravioli bolognese - it was love at first bite! 😊 I ended up coming back just to try it again, and I'm so glad I did. The service is top-notch too, making it a must-visit for sure. Highly recommend!

25/08/2025: Throughout our stay in Recco, we saw people carrying boxes from pizzerias. We finally found Pizzeria Al Pomodoro, where all the pizzas came from. We had high expectations, and the food there exceeded them. The pizza was large, DELICIOUS, and the service was exceptionally friendly. If we have the chance, we'll definitely go back. It's the best pizza we've ever had in Recco.

Pizza: Top-quality ingredients, flavors that blend perfectly together while maintaining their own identity, bite after bite until the end, and when the plate is empty... well, you'll want more. Even the dough remains light and acts as a binder for all the toppings. In short, every time it's a journey of flavor. The staff is courteous and attentive, making you feel "pampered," which is no small feat these days. And the desserts... 5 well-deserved stars. P.S. If you're used to the same old "plastic" pizza that makes you feel full, don't come. If, however, you really want to try something different that your palate deserves, come and try it 😉

21/08/2025: Quiet restaurant offering quality products. The salads and spaghetti Bolognese were fine for us in terms of quantity. The prices are a little high, but like everywhere else in Portofino (€118 for 4 people, main course, dessert, and drinks). Very welcoming. The service was very good. There were 8 of us and 2 small dogs.

19/08/2025: Avoid. My partner and I went for lunch. Fish not fresh? The people to our left ordered the fried fish mix we wanted, but when they arrived, there was a strong, unpleasant odor. The neighbors saw our disgusted faces and said, "Do we agree that it stinks?" The waiter brought them a second one after they complained, but the bad smell was still there. This ruined my partner's appetite, so we avoided the fish and seafood dishes. We still ordered a plate of trofie with pesto and a plate of tomato and mozzarella because we were hungry. It was okay, but not worth the price, and we didn't really enjoy eating our meal given the smell in the neighbors' faces. Service needs to be improved. Another negative point: when it came time to pay, the server took my partner's credit card from the table to pay the €61 (which didn't work because for more than €50, he needed the PIN) instead of handing us the terminal. We asked to split it in half, and he kept the card to pay the €30 without showing the amount first. In short, avoid it; it's better to pay more for good food or go to a bakery.

18/08/2025: I stopped by for lunch today on my motorcycle, returning from Rapallo, heading towards Milan. I didn't realize it was already 1:00 PM and was passing by without intending to stop, but as soon as I noticed it was a pro-biker bar, with several biking references, I turned around and stopped. Thank goodness! There were only two tables occupied, but as soon as I sat down, it filled up within minutes. Excellent welcome and knowledgeable staff. I ate excellent tagliatelle with hare ragù, drank a Paulaner beer, and coffee. Perfect for a motorcycle tour.

11/08/2025: Paolo and his wife have been a point of reference for years, wonderful people, a beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant that has everything you need, even a bar and a lawn where you can sunbathe

13/07/2025: We had risotto with shrimps, spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti with turts of sea, and spaghetti with modoro. For dessert, profiteroles and panna cotta were delicious. We'll be back.
