07/02/2026: I stopped by after the gym to buy a bottle of water from the bar, then I smelled the delicious cooking and decided to stay for dinner. I'm posting photos of what I ate. The sea bass was exceptional, I highly recommend it. The service was impeccable, and the staff was very kind and professional. I'll be back! I almost forgot... excellent value for money.

13/04/2026: Basically, the food is good, the atmosphere is nice, but "Manager B" is truly annoying and rude. To our surprise, he came to our table once last year and looked at us, "defending" one of his waitresses who hadn't understood our order properly. When we pointed this out to him the third time, he told us not to treat his employees rudely. So much for "the customer is always right." We didn't go there for a while. Then we went back, and basically every Saturday we were there. There was a good, friendly waiter who always served us politely and quickly. Once, the main course on the daily menu we wanted wasn't available, so they gave us a mixed fried fish for €5. The last time we were there, last month, the waiter wasn't there, and "Manager B" (who should go do something else, he doesn't know how to deal with polite customers like us) sullenly and arrogantly reiterated that it was "impossible" that we had paid so little for the famous fritto misto. It's obvious that when he feels completely wrong, he loses his mind. Actually, no, he just wants to be right. And so, that's enough. Granted, we weren't considered top-tier customers, but every weekend we were paying 30 euros (often without a receipt lately). As Cannavacciuolo says... "Goodbye!!!"

06/04/2026: Two of us arrived, took our order within the usual timeframe, ordered a platter and two tortelli, and the platter of cold cuts arrived after 65 minutes, for two and not for one as requested. We waited another 15 minutes for the bread to be brought, which wasn't on the table, only served sliced ​​without plates. For the first courses, we waited another 30 minutes... never again. It's a shame because the quality of the products is good.

15/03/2026: I don't understand people who say the food is good. The cold cuts are already starting off: but can you serve salami that's obviously industrial and Milanese-style in Piacenza? Thick pancetta. Butter and sage caramels... oh well, I won't comment. Fried fish: good. Fine salad and seafood appetizer in general are pitiful, made with poor quality ingredients. Meat: I packed it up to take to my dogs. Sorbet: too sour. Coffee: good. Pizza: just one, they obviously use very low-quality cheese. There were three of us, we spent very little, but I would have preferred to pay a fair amount and eat at least reasonably well.

And if I tell you this pizza is very digestible, then it is very digestible... I'm the kind of person who thinks a pizza chef must be very careful to satisfy my pizza needs. And this pizzeria is one of my favorites!

27/04/2026: After six years, I've returned to Osvaldo's, and I must say my opinion has improved compared to the past. The pizza remains average, especially when eaten while still hot. The dough is thin, which isn't my cup of tea, but I understand it's in line with Piacenza's tastes, so it makes sense that it hasn't changed much over the years. The real difference compared to my previous experience is the toppings, which I found much more successful and capable of enhancing the overall flavor of the pizza. I tried the Piacentina DOP for the first time, which I highly recommend. The tiramisu was also very good, with a homemade flavor, as it should be. Regarding the service: the youngest member of the staff was extremely kind, and his presence made the evening more enjoyable. My colleagues, on the other hand, could perhaps be a little more cheerful—they seemed a bit dull—but overall, they were still helpful. I really appreciated the fact that they let us stay past closing time without making us feel bad. Ultimately, Osvaldo remains a good choice for a dinner in the city center, just steps from Piazza Cavalli, perhaps paired with an evening stroll when temperatures permit. An experience that has certainly improved compared to the past.

26/04/2026: Tavern to avoid, Thursday afternoon I called to book dinner for 7pm, at 7pm my wife and I went, having seen the doors open we went in and said hello, terrible scene we saw 4 or 5 girls sitting and eating, they didn't deign to greet us, only surprised looks, to say but who are these people and what do they want, after a long silence a guy gets up saying open to me in 5 minutes, oh my, scenes that should not be seen in a restaurant, zero education, for goodness sake there are many taverns that eat well, and they are polite, forget it, look for something else..,,

I've always recommended it, even recently, to people who work and were looking for a place to have a good lunch. But this time I'm sorry to have to give a negative review, not so much for the food, because that could have been my taste... I had lunch today at Mamma's with the "Workers of the Sea" menu. For the main course, there were baby octopus, which I thought had a strange, too strong flavor, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I called the waitress, told her, and she took my plate away. She asked if I wanted anything else, but I didn't want anything... but what I'm sorry about is that when it came to the bill, I paid for the full menu without any mention or regret, or even a word about the fact that I had sent a dish back without touching it... To be fair, I expected the owner to say something to me, but instead, no full bill, not even a word... I'm very sorry, but that's not how you keep customers.
