We arrived at around 8 on a Sunday evening, late in the season but we're made very welcome, and we're well looked after throughout the evening.
We were both quite tired and fancied something straightforward so I opted for the steak and chips, while my wife had pizza.
Both were absolutely spot on and the steak was cooked beautifully.
Maybe it was the half carafe of wine but it was one of the best evenings out in Positano that week.
Also... Given that the restaurant is up in Chiesa Nuova, the prices are very reasonable by comparison to down at the big beach.
Definitely worth the walk up a couple of steps.

06/10/2025: Caution - Do not eat here. We just ate here and my wife has been puking her brains out within an hour of eating here. The service was also not great. The food obviously, not good considering the food poisoning.
Also, the amount of cat pee everywhere outside and in the bathrooms was nauseating
05/10/2025: We enjoyed having a very delicious dinner. I had the grilled tuna and my beautiful wife had grilled chicken with basmati rice and vegetables on the side. We enjoyed the place, the music and the hospitality. Very highly recommended to everyone.

11/10/2025: Very good pizza and calzone and very good service. We stopped by during our honeymoon trip and were served by a super friendly Argentine waitress with beautiful tattoos. Thank you very much for everything.
10/10/2025: We went back a second time during our five day trip, and we were treated like family!

09/10/2025: Very disappointing. Cannoli tasted like it was pre made and fake. Who puts dried fruit in a cannoli? Nothing from that cannoli was fresh. Service was horrible. Workers getting upset because we bought 1 piece of items. Iced coffee was warm poured over ice which is not iced coffee. Atmosphere felt like we were being degraded.

06/11/2025: Positano is a real tourist magnet, it is without a doubt also worth visiting. If you are fit you can walk down to the beach passing lovely little fashion shops tempting you with fresh colors almost making you buy things you don't need really. If you are very fit you can also walk up again to find a restaurant called Mêle. Rather than have lunch or dinner down at the beach where it is, let's be honest, super expensive, I'd recommend going to Mele restaurant almost back at the top near the Mandara parking garage. It is a hidden treasure! Fine food, friendly service and at honest prices. The caprese was to so good that i wanted to move there.
The chicken with potatoes even caught the attention of the people sitting at other tables... Yummieeee! My next visit will certainly be again, and with a lot of enthousiasme, MELE restaurant!

12/01/2026: Spaghetti with clams was flavorless, sticky, and lacked a drizzle of oil. What a shame, ruining such a famous dish like this.
I tried my brother's dish, pasta with Neapolitan ragù, delicious.
07/01/2026: Just below the new church in Positano, away from the chaos of the center but easily accessible by bus, is this small restaurant that was a truly wonderful discovery for us.
We're vegetarians, but we still found excellent dishes: flavorful, delicious, different from the usual options, and of excellent quality. We had the eggplant parmigiana and the pasta with potatoes and provola cheese, both excellent. The wine was also excellent.
The staff were wonderful, both for their service and courtesy. The atmosphere was recently renovated, lovingly, intimate, and welcoming.
Prices are in line with the Amalfi Coast.
What more can I say? Recommended!
