01/05/2025: We took a trio of lake trout, a Valtellina bruschetta and 2 coffees, very good dishes, fast and very attentive service, very friendly staff, the restaurant is within the streets of Cannobio, there are clear directions to reach it, highly recommended

11/05/2025: Wonderful experience! Went with husband, friend and parents...a surprising place! From the outside it looks like a shop, inside it looks like a pub but then you look at the menu and you find a super original variety that satisfies all tastes and dietary needs! As a lactose intolerant I also loved the chef's proposal who invented a dessert for me (bread crust with rhubarb and apples!)... I was touched! The choice of bread is also interesting: it's gluten-free, so everyone is happy! It's definitely a place you don't expect in a mountain village! We had a really good time! Thank you!

11/05/2025: How beautiful are the places where you feel at home! Very welcoming pubs, with a really kind service, easy-going and attentive to intolerances, and an original and delicious cuisine! I already knew the place and I brought with me a very "heterogeneous" group and everyone was enthusiastic. Congratulations and see you soon!!

18/05/2025: We reserved a table for the evening (recommended if you want to sit outside). The staff were super friendly and welcoming. We ate pizza and pasta with salmon sauce. It was simply delicious. We'll definitely be back.

18/05/2025: A very nice hotel (18 rooms) with an attached restaurant. A lovely garden with small seating areas, enclosed with plants, invites you to linger. Your car is parked in a private space in the underground garage of the neighboring supermarket.

11/05/2025: Doveva essere un pranzo per la festa della mamma ma si è rivelato essere un disastro . Tempi di attesa lunghissimi, senza scuse da parte dei responsabili. In 4 avevamo già finito l’antipasto quando è arrivato il piatto per il quinto ospite. La cameriera è inciampata al momento di servire un caffè e l’ha rovesciato sul tavolo, facendo un commento che nessuno ha capito e lasciando una vistosa macchia. Al momento del pagamento del conto ho chiesto al signor Giordano se non voleva sapere da me come era andata. La sua risposta: “non mi interessa. So che non è andato bene e non voglio litigare “. Persa l’occasione per scusarsi…Una maleducazione inaudita. Non posso assolutamente raccomandare questo ristorante. Il pranzo della festa della mamma è stato rovinato! Mai più!

03/05/2025: Excellent. Everything was perfect for us. Welcome, service and quality of the meal. I highly recommend it, especially in the evening with friends or as a couple. A little away and therefore quieter.

02/05/2025: We had some doubts because the menu is very touristy, but the first courses were excellent,🍝🍝 and the pizza wasn't bad either.🍕 All this is accompanied by excellent service. A plus is the presence of bottled craft beer 🍻🍻🍻🍻

01/06/2025: In den letzten Jahren sind wir wann immer wir Besuch hatten oder etwas zu feiern wollten oft und gerne in das Grotto Sant Anna gegangen. Das Essen war ohne Einschränkung hervorragend, auch wenn die Speisekarte im Laufe der Saison nicht variiert wurde, so dass es es nach einigen Besuchen etwas langweilig wurde. Aber trotzdem sind wir immer gerne zu Gast gewesen. Auch in dieser Saison wären wir gerne wieder kommen, z.B. um übermorgen den Geburtstag meiner Frau mit unseren Freunden zu feiern. Scheinbar sind aber Gäste im Grotto in diesem Jahr nicht mehr willkommen. Reservierung über ein Portale geht natürlich nicht, das war uns bekannt. Eine Emailadresse zur Reservierung wird auf der Webpage auch nicht angezeigt, dafür aber 2 Telefonnummern. ABER, das Telefon ist sowohl mittags wie abends unbesetzt. Niemand nimmt ab, eine Voice Mail gibt es nicht und man landet nach endlosen Versuchen immer auf einer unpersönlichen Bandansage. Schade, nun müssen wir nach einem neuen Lieblingsrestaurant Ausschau halten.

29/05/2025: A restaurant with excellent food, a perfect location, a lovely ambiance, and friendly service. It truly deserves 5 stars. We were there for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed it. Recommendation: Reservation of a table.

26/05/2025: Cute cafe. Not directly on the lake, but still right in the middle of it. Great, tasty drinks at a great price. Service was very attentive and friendly. And you can also people-watch while you enjoy your meal. Perfect

03/05/2025: The pizzas were great and the price/performance ratio was definitely right. Unfortunately I also have to write something negative. When we came there were only four tables occupied. During the meal it filled up so that there were only a few tables left. As we were having our espresso, a waiter came and asked me whether we wanted to pay with cash or card. We weren't actually planning on leaving yet, but after this request we didn't feel like staying anymore.

19/04/2025: We came here spontaneously and tried our best to order in Italian. Normally, that's good enough to order the right thing, but the waiter didn't understand us at all and answered in broken English. So, the star deduction is for the service. The ambiance with the patio heater was very nice, and the drinks and cake were very good...

14/04/2025: Unfortunately, the service at Café Verbano has declined. The staff looks past the guests. Long waiting times if you don't defend yourself. With the aperitif there is always a pair of sandwiches, which is great. But last time we only got it when we had almost finished the wine. The nice boss should pay more attention to the employees.

Quite small restaurant, the interior is very homely, few seats and some outside but nevertheless it has everything Nice, friendly and very professional staff Food preparation times are fast The pizzas are delicious like everything else they offer Very affordable prices with excellent value for money I recommend going and trying it

26/04/2025: We had a wonderful evening at Pizzeria Camelia in Cannobio. The mussels in white wine sauce were incredibly fresh and aromatic, seasoned to perfection. The linguine with crabs and saffron was also a real highlight - wonderfully creamy, with a delicate saffron aroma and perfectly cooked crabs. The service was very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was relaxed. We'll definitely be back! Absolute recommendation!
