23/11/2025: It was an unlucky day that, by pure chance, brought us to Taja e Gusta. Despite arriving without a reservation (on a Sunday), they welcomed us with great courtesy and cheerfulness. We found a beautiful, traditional restaurant with a pure mountain feel, even warmed by the stove. The menu was delicious, and they were very accommodating, even with children. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail; you made our day; we'll definitely be back.
23/11/2025: Good morning, I was here for a birthday and I can say (reading negative reviews) that everything was the opposite, so the atmosphere was warm and clean, the owners were very kind, considering that I arrived late so the whole table had to wait. As soon as I sat down at the table, the waitress arrived immediately and very kindly took everyone's order, the pizzas for the children arrived immediately. Let's move on to the food part, good wine, wide selection of pizzas, I didn't look at the menu, the pizza was cooked well, thin, just how I like it, the ingredients were right, not exaggerated, the dough was excellent (during the night I didn't drink like a camel), everything was perfect, I will definitely be back, thanks for the hospitality

19/10/2025: Very good restaurant with special attention to customer service. Excellent value. Reservations are required on weekends, otherwise you won't be able to find a table.
11/10/2025: Excellent location for visiting Usseaux, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, as well as Lake Laux, a small, clear lake full of fish just a 5-minute drive from Usseaux.

A simple yet authentic and genuine trattoria.
Fair prices, fast and very friendly service. Everything was delicious!
13/10/2025: A modest trattoria, with limited selection, but home-made quality and very fair prices for what we ate. The carrot flan with gorgonzola fondue was excellent, as were the agnolotti with ragù (they would have been more appreciated if they had been a little more generous). The house Barbera was decent. In the end, the four of us ate four appetizers, four first courses, one bottle of water, two desserts, three coffees, and one liqueur. The service was friendly and courteous. The total cost was €76. I'd say it's a fair and reasonable price. Reservations are recommended, if not mandatory, on holidays, as there isn't much seating.

20/08/2025: Good for lunch. Not the nicest waiter in Italy. A little hot inside on a summer hot day. But outside was too sunny at lunchtime.
We did not stick around for coffee and got it elsewhere.

11/10/2025: I've been going there since it opened. I was probably among the very first customers, along with my daughter.
I introduced it by bringing several people.
In fact, I like it because there are cats, the good food, and above all, the music is really background music. No one yells, we talk, we don't scream, and there's no thump-thump-thump that can be reminiscent of other places.

26/04/2025: C'è molto da raccontare,e purtroppo tutto negativo. Si inizia con l'accoglienza a dir poco antipatica perché siamo arrivati alle 20.15 avendo prenotato per le 20.30. ci tocca aspettare seduti ai tavolini del bar. Niente di particolare senonché quando ci danno accesso alla sala scopriamo che i tavoli erano già liberi e probabilmente quei 20 minuti servivano per apparecchiare. Sul tavolo c'è un sinistro cartello che intima di restare seduti fino a quando non si sarà ricevuto il conto: ci si può alzare solo per andare a pagare alla cassa. Qualcuno porta i menù dopo altri 20 minuti. Tornano a prendere le ordinazioni dopo ulteriori 20 minuti. Per ricevere le sole bevande occorrono ulteriori 30 minuti, a questo punto siamo seduti già da oltre un'ora e ancora delle pizze non c'è traccia. Teniamo conto che in tutto i tavoli saranno una decina. Neanche a dirlo, quando esauriti pazienza e appetito arrivano le pizze la delusione diventa definitiva per la scarsissima qualità delle stesse, al punto da ricordare consistenza e aspetto delle pizze surgelate del supermercato. Dopo due ore di agonia lasciamo questo posto a dir poco disastroso con l'unica certezza... Mai più!

27/07/2025: Had a quick coffee (which was excellent!) before walking the fortress. The barrista was super friendly and helpful (helped us solve a small entrance fee situation).
Atmosphere is nothing short of spectacular, with vaulted ceiling archers and walls saturated with centuries of history.
Highly recommended!
