30/05/2024: For our wedding cake we relied on this pastry shop and it was a success. We requested a tropézienne cake, different from the usual preparations offered, but it was greatly appreciated by all the guests. Marco was very helpful. Many thanks again!

The cereal pizza dough was really good, but unfortunately there was too much cheese, which overpowered the overall flavour.
The vegetarian offer was very limited. The only options were a pasta or cheese gnocchi, and of the pizzas only two were vegetarian. No vegetarian starters available. I pointed out this deficiency to the waitress, who responded by saying that there is no demand. An answer that I found absurd, considering that even omnivores can enjoy vegetarian dishes, often delicious, without necessarily having to eat meat or fish. Furthermore, demand can be stimulated with a more varied offer.
Vegetables are always missing from the general menu offer, as if eating well meant excluding them. Furthermore, the pasta is never wholemeal, an option that many customers would appreciate for a healthier and more balanced meal. And for those who are vegan, it ruins it!?
The waitress was generally friendly, but, perhaps due to my criticism, she went to take the order of a table who arrived after us, which left me a little perplexed.

18/11/2024: I was in this restaurant yesterday and I can say that I ate very well. We mainly ate typical Piedmontese appetizers, which were very good, and then meat. I understand that the owners are Sicilian, so the fish will certainly be very good too. The person who welcomed us was very kind and we felt very comfortable. The quality of the products seemed excellent to me.
10/11/2024: We were lucky to have a place to eat last night, we really appreciated the kindness towards our baby who was served very quickly so he wouldn't have to wait and get impatient. The welcome is very warm and welcoming, the pizzas are very good. Thanks again very much.

16/07/2024: Last Saturday we participated in the Monviso Bike Marathon organized by the Monviso Bike Sports Association.
Before the night departure, a 'Pasta party' was planned by the Punto Caffè.
Friendly and attentive staff;
simple but genuine cuisine;
The room (and bathroom) were spotlessly clean at all times.
A really nice welcome and a place to absolutely recommend for any occasion!

14/09/2024: Restaurant on the Cavour rock. We ate outside on the terrace, with a stunning view.
Abundant and delicious dishes at a good price. Friendly and helpful staff. The caliph cook is number 1.
20/08/2024: So, the premise is that I have a good mouth and I wouldn't even complain about a restaurant that cooks dead mice, but here I have to warn future visitors of this restaurant, I have a moral duty!
no, we're not quite there! I don't know where to start, the truth is that the lady in the room is very kind but in this case it's not enough, not enough at all. In the kitchen there is someone who is against this enchanting place in the greenery. Not only is the food not up to par even in a military canteen, but it is also dangerous to think of serving very low quality food like the one that arrived at the table this evening.
I haven't been well and my partner even less so, I won't list the symptoms, it doesn't seem appropriate to me but to give you an idea, I wouldn't recommend it even to my enemy.
I hope with all my heart, given the previous reviews, that the gardener was in the kitchen this evening.
Leaving aside the six euro cover charge, leaving out the appetizers taken out of the jars of preserves, leaving out the cured meats from the Selex trays, Leaving aside the one hundred euro bill for two people considering an appetizer, two dishes and coffee with a bottle of wine, the thing the worst were the peppers that destroyed my weekend.
Never again.
Ps. Food is no longer rated -10 otherwise I would have done it.

29/07/2024: Too bad about the ice cream which is quite good, but for the staff who served us these last two times it's a big no. She almost seems annoyed at having to answer to you or do her job. Be careful of those who don't "look" Italian or Western because they give the impression that they deliberately put the ice cream on the cone badly, in fact he fell into it twice as soon as he left the ice cream shop without being able to eat anything at all. Strange case, with another lady who served us the previous times, none of this happened. Coincidences? I do not believe.
In any case, for what little it can count, there won't be a next time, we will look for another place with polite staff who treat customers without distinction.

11/06/2024: Eravamo già stati molti anni fa e così abbiamo deciso di riprovare. Confermate la buona qualità degli ingredienti e la preparazione dei piatti. Personale cortese e attento. Prezzo allineato alla qualità dell'offerta, forse solo i dessert sono cari rispetto alla loro qualità / varietà.
Buona cantina. Peccato che quella sera il tempo non fosse bello, altrimenti si gode una vista spettacolare.
05/06/2024: Alla ricerca di ristoranti che non siano sempre tra Langhe, Roero e Monferrato ho trovato questo. Situato sul cucuzzolo della Rocca di Cavour, gode di un'ottima vista e di una piacevole arietta fresca. Due le possibilità di parcheggio, non indicate da alcun cartello, come pure il ristorante stesso...non è proprio semplice da trovare. E la strada è molto stretta e impervia. C'è solo da augurarsi che non arrivi qualche auto in senso contrario se no è retromarcia sicura. Non passano due auto...
Il menù comprende anche piatti di pesce (onestamente non capisco come si possa andare in posti simili per una cucina di mare...) ed i piatti piemontesi sono veramente pochi. Tonno di coniglio, battuta di fassona e ravioli al ragù di agnello (solo tiepidi) buoni e impiattati bene. Anatra laccata all'arancia buona ma troppo asciutta (e tiepidina...). Lista dei vini molto ampia con prezzi un po' sopra lo standard. Il cameriere che ci ha serviti è stato molto gentile.

Ci andiamo ogni tanto perché vicino a casa, e non siamo mai rimasti delusi. Il posto è molto accogliente e pulito, il personale sempre molto gentile e attento e il cibo sempre ottimo.
I prezzi sono nella media.
È volutamente una descrizione sintetica ma che vuole solo sottolineare il fatto che comunque è un posto che si può andare in qualsiasi occasione e che si sta sempre bene.
21/10/2024: A malincuore, recensisco male questa bellissima location, la quale mi è sempre piaciuta, ma purtroppo l'attuale gestione non è stata assolutamente soddisfacente. Premetto che sono vegetariana, quindi quando vado in giro ho sempre poca scelta e non mi piace disfare piatti, quindi cerco di adeguarmi. Nel menù c'erano dei piatti con ingredienti che potevano piacermi. Assolutamente buonissimo l'antipasto con i fiori di zucca ripieni di sairas, molto abbondante. Solitamente i piatti vegetariani sono poveri. I primi, sicuramente abbiamo scelto una qualità di pasta che andava cotta qualche minuto in più... Ma erano davvero troppo al dente, sia per me che per il mio fidanzato. Per quanto riguarda il suo antipasto a base di gamberoni... Bello alla vista, ma a detta sua, al gusto poco. La pasta l'ho rimandata indietro perché davvero mi rimaneva attaccata ai denti e non riuscivo a deglutirla... Poi arriviamo ai caffè,. perché non ci siamo osati a prendere il dolce. Noi non zuccheriamo il caffè... io sono ex barista e può succedere di prendere una tazzina sporca, sia mai che scappa nella quantità, ma la si vede al momento di girarla sotto la macchina del caffè... Ma in un ristorante... Vabbè... Dal caffè spuntava un pezzo di bustina da zucchero... Tutto questo al modico prezzo di €83, caffè inclusi, perché dopo che mi sono lamentata educatamente, senza chiamare al tavolo per gli inconvenienti, 2 caffè potevate offrirli. Siamo una coppia che usciamo spesso a cena, sicuramente sarà un posto dove non andremo assolutamente più. Mi dispiace.
