25/12/2024: Ambiente gradevole e particolare. Il locale è ricavato dalle cantine di un palazzo del XII secolo dei Conti Vassallo a Dogliani. Ampia scelta dei vini e presentazione dei piatti curata. Porzioni abbondanti. Abbiamo preso un antipasto, un primo e un dolce (il secondo non ci stava più...) senza vino e abbiamo speso in due 44 euro. Con il secondo e un vino nella media penso si vada sui 35 euro almeno cadauno. Indispensabile prenotare nel fine settimana.

25/11/2024: Beautiful and good tavern in the middle of the Langhe hills. Very friendly welcome and service. There is all the flavor of typical cuisine and a wine list that leaves you spoiled for choice. Mine was an excellent choice! Try it to believe it.....

17/12/2024: The Locanda del Smile is a small, welcoming environment, like at home with friends. You can really find the smile on the faces of the kind and warm dining room staff.
The menu is local but varied, suitable for all needs.
The cuisine is varied, pleasant discoveries such as sausage and pumpkin plin alternate with dishes that are not perfectly balanced. On more than one occasion one taste prevailed over the others.
Special mention for the hazelnut cake, particularly appreciated.

05/01/2025: Quiet resort and in a good location, various points of interest can be reached in a short time, friendly staff ready to respond to every need, very nice spa area, non-buffet breakfast, which is something I really appreciate when I go on holiday. Clean rooms with a very large utility set, from shaving foam with razor, toothbrush and toothpaste to make-up remover wipes not found in many hotels or resorts.
Their hazelnut cream is definitely worth trying (it is required for breakfast) before leaving I requested a jar of it which they kindly sent me express (for a fee and rightly so) I also really appreciated this availability.
So definitely recommended!
03/01/2025: Beautiful resort with internal SPA and for lovers of eating, restaurant with 1 Michelin star, lovely place, my family and I stayed in the very nice apartment, very clean and welcoming, all the staff very kind and helpful, if you want to visit the splendid areas of the Barolo and the Langhe is a perfect location…

Upon arrival he let us find the
necessary for breakfast and an excellent aperitif.
The place is beautiful and immersed in the vineyards of these wonderful hills.
They have a very good and very welcoming pizza restaurant

25/11/2024: Excellent lunch in Piedmont!
We left Genoa to try this place that had been recommended to us. The village is very cute. The restaurant is in the central square, with windows that make the interior very bright and allow you to see outside. All very chic and refined. Attentive service. The menu offers typical Piedmontese proposals and 2 tasting menus. We chose:
Knife-cut Tajarin with Bra sausage sauce (a nice generous portion)
Duck tortelli, cream and cooking juices (a slightly small portion but excellent!)
Domenico fillet of Piedmontese beef, small bagna cauda and cardoons (exceptional quality meat!)
Knife-battered Piedmontese veal leg, Castelmagno and Piedmontese seasoning (excellent!)
We drank two glasses of Nebbiolo (€16)
Total bill €95 for two. Advised.
25/11/2024: Siamo partiti da Genova per provare questo posto che ci era stato consigliato. Il paesino è molto carino. Il locale è nella piazza centrale, con vetrate che rendono l interno molto luminoso e permettono di vedere fuori. Tutto molto chic e curato. Servizio attento. Il menù offre proposte tipiche piemontesi e 2 menù degustazione. Abbiamo scelto:
Tajarin tagliati al coltello al sugo di salsiccia di Bra (una bella porzione abbondante)
Tortelli di anatra, panna e fondo di cottura (una porzione un po’ scarsa ma ottimi!)
Filetto alla Domenico Di manzo piemontese, piccola bagna cauda e cardi (carne di qualità eccezionale!)
Coscia di vitella piemontese battuta al coltello, Castelmagno e condimento piemontese (ottima!)
Abbiamo bevuto Due calici di nebbiolo (16€)
Conto totale 95€ in due. Consigliato.

18/11/2024: I booked to come here for a tasting session with 16 clients. The welcome was amazing by Claudio and he explained everything in much detail. He laid on a large spread of cheeses, hams and other condiments that were simply delicious! What a fantastic host and overall experience. GRAZIE CLAUDIO AND TEAM! We shall be back next year :-)
14/11/2024: Incredible private wine tasting session with a beautiful lunch set in stunning hillside. Thank you to Claudio who is the perfect host and explains the wines very well. We were 16 guests at lunch and most of us loved the wines so much we bought several bottles each to take home.
I accidentally left my credit card at the shop and Claudio was kind enough to call me and post it back to me! We will see you again in 2025 Claudio- Grazzie Mille 🙏

08/12/2024: Ho partecipato alla giornata del fritto misto piemontese: 15 portate fra carne e verdure più 5 fra frutta e dolce, tutto di ottima qualità. E stato proposto il bis per tutte le portate. Ottimi i vini di loro produzione. I proprietari molto cordiali e disponibili.
Esperienza da ripetere.

Camere ampie, molto pulite, bella vista. Vicino a Dogliani. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Abbiamo cenato qui per il bagna cauda day, molto buona. Anche il vino prodotto da loro merita. Rapporto qualità prezzo buona. La colazione non è inclusa.

01/12/2024: Having arrived very hungry after a long day, we find a nice location, even if the tables are badly arranged, it becomes difficult to move around. I must admit there are many people who choose to eat at this pizzeria. Typical pizzeria menu, with abundant extra-pizza choices of both fish and meat. Kind, courteous service but not enough to cover the amount of people, in fact during the service they forgot to bring us the chilli, which we got ourselves after a long wait (the pizza was getting cold from waiting). We get to the pizza, unfortunately not up to expectations! Too thin, so bland that it was sweet (I took the margherita and a gorgo of onions and tuna) and too little seasoning, especially mine started to have some from the middle to the centre, my half edge was completely burnt. Sweet, good but there was no custard inside, I'm sure of this having grown up in a pastry shop with a pastry chef dad. Price, I think it's expensive for what we ate. beers, good
