Trattoria del Peso is my go-to place for birthdays and family lunches, because you're truly welcomed like you're at a relative's house. This year, it was my birthday, last Sunday. They offer a fixed menu, so you arrive promptly and are all served together. No frills, just high-quality Piedmontese cuisine: fresh homemade pasta, cheeses, appetizers, spectacular desserts, and, of course, Signora Enrica with her Piedmontese wit. Reservations and punctuality are mandatory.

I went for lunch at this lovely trattoria, which I found online, and the reviews left by others convinced me. The place is attractively decorated, and its simplicity makes for a pleasant lunch. The food is served without an à la carte menu (I went on a Saturday), and the courses follow one another, starting with excellent appetizers and ending with dessert, all accompanied by house wine and, of course, water. The quality of the food is excellent, fully reflecting Piedmontese tradition.

05/05/2026: A truly wonderful restaurant, featured in the Michelin Guide. A genuine gastronomic experience, excellent Piedmontese cuisine, with a surf and turf menu for 45 euros. Very good value for money. The vaulted setting is magnificent and the service impeccable. Don't hesitate!
